Piotr Beczała sings Loris Ipanoff's Act II aria in a recent orchestra rehearsal. Conductor: Marco Armiliato. 2022-23 season. Videography by Pete Scalzitti.
Veramente fantastico, ce ne sono pochi adesso di tenori come Beczala. Bellissima voce e ha una splendida dizione, si capiscono tutte le parole. 👏👏👏👏❤❤❤❤
Hi. I have just seen the HD version and the sound quality in my cinema was really terrible (I’ve been to many before). I’d be curious to know if you had the same experience. .
We love and admire this superb artist and therefore must be honest. This tremolo is beyond vibrato, if merely because it's even. Natural vibrator is slower in the bottom of the voice and is faster as the pitch rises. But c'mon, this is a rehearsal, as another comment pointed out. This could've been recorded, heaven forbid, before noon! Piotr Beczała is one of the most consistently marvelous tenors singing today. This recording is an anomaly. Whether "Live" at Carnegie Hall or recently at the Metropolitan Opera House Beczała's singing is immaculate.
I think it's possible to hear a wider vibrato and still appreciate the instrument and artistry. It's also not uncommon for an instrument to take on certain characteristics as the performer ages, and is asked to perform so many times in a year. I will say that the voice is much warmer and this isn't as noticeable in person. I saw him do a recital in LA, where he performed 12 arias back to back and was still as fresh on the last piece as he was on the first.
Halo I'm really so grateful seeing at my official page how dedicated you have been both your comments and I'm so happy to have you as one of my favorites fans

His voice has deteriorated considerably in recent years. His vibrato has become very slow and drawn-out, and his pronunciation is sometimes very poor. When he was younger, he gave a top performance. Now that he feels he has to sing more difficult roles, he is only average.
