Feeding as a learning tool to bring out Wing Chun technique
Sifu Kenneth Chung demonstates how Yip Man would feed his first generation of students in Hong Kong.
This isn't a simulated fight but more of a exercise to help the student bring out Wing Chun techniques naturally, fluidly and precisely

I am happy that Ken is starting to show some of his training methods to the public. Of course for people not part of this lineage, it is hard for them to understand how this has anything to do with training for combat.

Ray VR going into this lineage from another- no names. can't believe how much my skill improved, love all styles of wing chun but forever thankful I found such a great teacher (not Sifu Chung, but same lineage)

I too appreciate seeing Sifu Ken teach, being in the UK my chances of getting to meet him are pretty slim.

This mainstream Wing Chun has been debunked scientifically. Check out the videos on our channel.

@@smartresearchwingchun494 ...that is: "it is not useful/necessary" this being, I think an early-level demonstration; we question your remark.

This, one feels, is an utterly necessary stage of VT (Wing-Chun) training; it is done slightly differently depending upon interpretation...

Leung sheung / been der Kenneth Chun direct lineage is usually taught this way. Karl Godwin Sanford fla, my teacher direct lineage from Ben D and Kenneth C almost to the T exact
@banedestroysbatmanofcanada4622
John Bland I learned from karl godwin your teacher and he was very political with me and from what students told me he talked shit about me..I just do the forms I learned I completed the wooden dummy on my own Karl's book helped with that. and my own research and study has helped me with my knowledge of wing chun along with really fighting with it too has helped me understand it..but now I box been boxing since 84 and I do jiujutsu wing chun is just for meditation and sweating balls..I train in the Florida heat.

Sifu mentioned this technique was taught in the early stages, which sounds like it may imply that it was discontinued later on? I have had the pleasure of practicing with one of his students and his structure was incredible stable and balanced. I was really impressed. Hope to see more videos from the Ken Chung lineage!

The Pac sau training is very important to our system. Wing Chun teachers with an understanding of this kind of feeding will always feed their students. Its not meant to simulate fighting, but helps the student utilize structure and position rather than speed or muscle.

@@t214x this has literally got to be my favorite thing to work on when I visit Sifu Ben. It's definitely nonexistent in the later branches of Yip Man Wing Chun and I can't imagine why.

Thank you for sharing!! Do you know who made his dummy in this video?? I have one similar that I got from GM Hawkins Cheung(RIP) and I'm trying to figure out who made it? Thank you!!

Not sure who made the dummy, I got it from my dads old Wing Chun teacher. My dads teacher use to study under Leung Ting until he met Ken and learned real Wing Chun.
