There are many components to keeping your chameleon healthy . One resource I discovered that succeeds in merging these is the Chameleon hasty hacks (check it out on google) without a doubt the most helpful blueprint i've seen. look at all the great info .
Hi I was just wondering how warm do you keep your room my died within the first 4 days had crickets basking temp 95 and 80% humidity I don't understand what went wrong:/
I got a baby veiled chameleon last night and he still hasn’t ate. I know he’s stressed from his move from the pet store to his new house but it still worries me. Any suggestions? Did you experience this issue when you got yours?
I typically feed him just how much he'll eat in a day! back when I filmed this video he would eat about 8 crickets a day but now that he's grown some I feed him around 20!
I reccomend that you have Vitamin B 3 calcium. I give it to my juvenile veiled. The breeder that I got mine said I should but all breeders are different.
for every 10 he eats you should only dust a couple to much of a good thing can be harmfule to its kidneys.think of yourself as a human, would you eat a whole bottle of vitamins at once??
Actually it’s not a whole bottle it’s like half small tablespoon and it doesn’t even cause kidney problems anyways it’s good for their health, bones and growth.
I know im really late to this video, but i just fed my baby chameleon crickets for the first time today. I am petrified of bugs so i dont really know why i thought getting an animal that only eats insects was a good idea, but it was worth the nausea seeing him chase the crickets around the cage. He seemed so happy
My baby never finds them like I put them in front of her and she never eats them she just stays near the UVB light and eats sometimes but she just stays in one spot any suggestions? also how do you find the crickets to take them out if she doesn’t eat them because it’s hard for me to find them!!! 😭😭
Only a month old? That young they need to be eating every day. Baby chameleons aren’t supposed to be sold until 3-4 months of age due to how sensitive they are
@@EmmaLynneSampson my parents got one for me as a surprise, I was completely unprepared but I want to take good care of her. I feel so guilty since they got her from a pet store 🥺 I wish we could’ve adopted, or at least give me a heads up 😂
Dodo Šibica depends on the age a juvenile will eat 12-20 crickets a day, I usually fed my juvenile about 15 dusted per day, and a super worm if they shed (I don’t like giving the young ones chitin) the crickets shouldn’t be thicker the the width of their eyes, they’ll risk choking.
In the wild they have hundreds and hundred of different food items that they can eat, that have more calcium and more vitamins. In captivity we can’t provide as much variety, so instead we have to supplement them with calcium and vitamins to make up for it
@@EmmaLynneSampson Ah , i see. My kids want one so bad. I wouldn't mind having one either. At least I don't have to walk it in the winter once the novelty has worn off. Lol
You should probably know, it’s easier for chameleons to eat crickets that are the size from the space between their eyes, it’s pointed out that way because that about the size of their throat. They can still eat it, it’s just harder
Emma Lynne Sampson ok because I've gotten some bad information wen I baught them I guess. I thank you so much for replying your a great RU-vidr I look up to you 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🤔
I was wondering if you could help me. We have a baby just about the size of yours. We had her about a month now but she is acting strange and I’m worried for one she don’t open her eyes line she did when we first got her she is not as active she acts stiff like when we hold her she just gets stiff even when we put her back in her home we put greens in there and milk worms but doesn’t look like she eats them. Can you message me and help see what I may be doing wrong I really appreciate it
Please check out the chameleon academy website and look over their husbandry information. Also, they don’t eat greens. And mealworms aren’t a good feeder. They should be fed crickets or roaches
That’s so much calcium powder :( they aren’t supposed to look like a powdered donut they just need a light dust, u don’t wanna over calcify your chamelons, it could do that to their organs !!
I can't say how glad I am you don't abuse your chameleon unlike risbe he keeps his chameleon in a enclosure that's only has one stick to climb on and it's full of pebbles he feeds his chameleon life roaches on the ground the chameleon could choke if he swallowed a pebble while trying to get a roach. He also stresses out his chameleon for content he poured 1000 roaches into the chameleons enclosure which stressed out the chameleon so much you could see him trying to get out of the enclosure the chameleon is banging against the glass as roaches pour onto him he's torturing his chameleon every video for views. He has 80k subs by stupid people who think he's treating his chameleon fine and chameleons are not living creatures who have feelings like us, you have to expose him.
