80-90% of the Arowana Tanks on youtube are kept by people without any knowledg they feedxing them and nothing more they know about fish and tanks Arowana should be kept in a 100000 liters tank
@@Alucard45000 5 digets number of water minimum and then you can and you should feed and treat them properly what nearly no one does look at all the with nearly every fish has dropeyes
@@TheCotzi Which is why I don't think they should be kept as pets, cause no one knows how to care for them properly, If they were kept as natural as possible I would have no problem with people keeping exotic fish like this.
@@Alucard45000 Sure i agree 100% with you in this case they all wanna show of with an expencive fish and that it where i live you cant go into a petstore and say i want this and this and this to everything you need to have specific things before you even could be considert as a buyer
To those complaining, it is actually recommended to give a silver arowana feeder fish, though not primarily and it is recommended you breed them yourself to ensure they are healthy. Also, it is very common for them to be "fussy" eaters and it's extremely uncommon for them to accept pellets. Live fish may be the only thing this arowana will eat. I do agree however that the tank is probably a little small.
first of all, goldfish in my opinion, and many other professional fish keeper's opinions, are NOT feeder fish. They are borderline toxic for your fish to digest and just aren't good. "a little small" bro, arowanas are a fish that you should never keep in a home aquarium, despite what people say. They are too big.
Arowana. An unusual looking fish that swims in your tank with a look of disgust and disapproval. It's as if the fish is looking disapprovingly at its surroundings and pointing out its tank is far too ghetto to house a fish with refined tastes and luxurious standards. If you have any doubts about its snobbery, all one has to do is look at the elitist frown on its pompous face. Beautiful fish. Tastes even nicer. lol
AROWANA ARE CARNIVORES. Feeding them goldfish is absolutely fine, although it is advisable that you breed your own so you don't bring in any diseases from the fish stores. If you're not comfy with predator fish eating other fish, click off the video and don't watch predator fish feeding?? It's that simple?? They can also grow up to 3ft long! Which means this tank is way too small! He should have enough room to comfortably swim depthwise. But he is a very handsome fish! Unfortunately he also has drop-eye.
The problem isn’t that it was fed fish to begin with. It was that it was fed goldfish, which are known to be fatty and a probable cause for drop eye (which this fish CLEARLY has) so you totally missed the point.
Arowana are not Pescavores (fish only diet) they cannot eat a mostly fish based diet. That will lead to bad health, also Goldfish are fatty and probably a reason why this Aro has Drop Eye (build up of fat behind the eye lid). I feed mine pellets, dried shrimp, blood worms and only once or twice a month, Guppies.
@@sk8rat86 drop eye develops when food (like live goldfish) sinks at the bottom of the aquarrium.. The arowana will always look at the bottom of the aquarrium for food.. In the wild they hunt fishes above them, not below them..
sk8rat86 feeding it goldfish doesn’t help. Drop eye is from fat building up behind their eyes. Goldfish are high in fat, thawed shrimp or live guppies are better for feeding.
Are you doing a water change or do you normally keep the water that low? And look I thought when I started the hobby that I could put whatever fish in whatever size tank but i realized fish of different species need different things arowana at least need a 120 gallon tank since they can grow up to three feet if you're going to keep one if you dont have the space or money then dont buy one instead try arowana tetra or some cichlids if you want some predators the best thing you could do for it now would be to donate it or give it a bigger tank
@@blachak1 not true silver arowana usually allways get "drop eye" even in 1000 gallon tanks This tank is how ever waaaaaayyy to small and truly cruel Bare minimum tank for a silver and black arowana 8x3x2ft
Why do people complain about the goldfish? It is nature If this arowana eats it, that means it(the goldfish) is his food come one, so many wild animals dying for things people do, and you all complaining about a goldfish.
lol what the fuck is this comment "I am angry about you using feeder goldfish, so I hope you reincarnate as a feeder goldfish so I can do exactly what I just complained about"
@Gerry Carranza Dude Why don't you just visit local shops and pick some dead golden fishes, you can cut down your costs and more importantly you can be kind to other species of fishes...
Giving up, I lose...... but Gabriel sounds logical. S_R am not talking about frozen fishes.(BTW I was referring naturally died fishes, usually while transporting to aqua shops)
Arsena would you be healthy if you ate JUST candy all the time for the rest of your life ? No you wouldn’t the feeders do NOT give them all the vitamins they need in their diet..which means he WILL DIE eventually from malnutrition. You need to research more and not watch what others do and copy them...
+Gerry Carranza well he does look good considering. how come you have the water level so low?my silver is much smaller then this atm he only about 6 inch as I've only had him a week
Fair enough if you have a good lid why not fill the tank up more. I only brought a aro week or 2 ago at about 4.5in he's now 6 easy.so I don't know exactly how old he is but he's in a 80Lx30Wx25H inch tank the rate he's growing he should be around 14inch by the new year.no I don't have any videos of him yet but I will put some up soon
Roys Motovlog feeder fish is fine but it shouldn’t be it’s only source of food. Goldfish are terrible feeders, very fatty (fat build up causes drop eye!) and normally they are poorly bred and prone to parasites/disease which can spread to the predator fish. I feed my Aro shrimp currently and it will also eat flake food as well.
@@rykquoa9152 that's bullshit. Avoid fatty foods, stick to food that floats so it doesn't look down, avoid fish under it (bottom dwellers) and its rare you'll get drop eye
Wrong some people do keep feeder fish as pets. They're cheap and easy to care for and have suprising personalities. I have Rosy red minnows and guppies. I want to get some goldfish too in a different tank. But the 13 cent Rosy reds are by far my favorite.
Nice video... All my arowanas are in natural pond no filter, only water pumped for irrigation.. they are in really good shape.. not one have drop eye.. they even eat rice and boiled eggs. My fish love the natural atmosphere
Why is everybody hating in the comments about how cruel this is? I mean this is life!!! Most you people eat pigs and cows and now your complaining about goldfish!?!?
I wouldn't mind if you were feeding the arowana with another fish. But as your like & dislike bar tells you. People don't like it and there's also some dumbs who feel smart to say 'it's nature'. Use another fish. Thanks.
