people that age fast or just ones who cant keep it under control usually have 2 things working against them. They wake up tired and start their day almost every day.. and they drink coffee with hardly any exercise
Hey Marcel, thanks for making this video, very informative. I was just curious as to what you think a good starting dose is for Resveratrol and NMN. Do you think that taking 500mg of Resveratrol powder in olive oil or yogurt/ and taking 500mg NMN capsules is a good place to start and then see if it gives results? And also, I assume that just taking these things first thing in the morning is a good way to go. Curious as to what you think. Thanks a lot.
I really can't recommend anything, only tell you what I'm taking and how I started. I took 500mg at first for several months, now I'm taking 1g per day and feeling I think a bit better. So, after being cautious, I'm absolutely comfortable with 1g per day now. But, as I said, I did start out at 500mg and my close friends usually do too.
A lot of people have reported 3-4 days shipping to the US. Even 2 days in a couple cases. It's pretty quick. Good luck with everything and thanks for your comment.
I am sceptical about singling out components of food and saying it will help with this or that. Foods in nature are composed of complex substances which work synergistically together in the body for maximum health benefits. To look and feel younger, I prefer to go with whole, organic, unprocessed foods. Extra-virgin coconut oil will have the same effect as these 2 supplements together, and it does more in that it nourishes your endocrine system, which is what keeps us youthful. We age not because we lack certain supplemental components but because our various hormonal production levels decline over time from their peaks in our 20s. The rate of decline will depend on the quality of nourishment in the diet. Other ways to reverse aging are Keto diet, which is animal-based 70%fats, 20% protein, 10% carbs, and Intermittent Fasting (OMAD or TMAD). Conversely, a plant-based diet, which today will consist of high amounts of GMO crops/produce, actually accelerates aging and is detrimental to health.
I agree with a good portion of what you're saying, but I think you are missing the point that our bodies just no longer produce NAD as we get older, and also AKG, btw.

For people concerned about cost, you can make diet changes and often see dramatic changes. Eliminating sugars/most carbs, and wheat/gluten is a no-cost change, and will benefit most people.
A agree with this. If you can't afford the supplements, just make the diet and exercise adjustments. I'm sure they will help. And eat Olive Oil every chance you get. Price is a barrier for many and hopefully the prices keep coming down over time.
@@Tony32 Yes, there is wide scientific consensus that says fasting or intermittent fasting is very good for stomach and brain health, so essentially body health overall. I've recently limited my eating to stopping after dinner by 7pm and not eating again until 11am, so essentially an 8 hour "eating window" to give my digestion a break each day. It's already done wonders and helped me clear up "brain fog", which I've become more aware of since losing weight end being more physically active. I will cover this topic in depth in an upcoming video.
Very interesting. I heard about this before and have been taking M & M's daily for 18 months now, specifically the blue and yellow ones. All I have to show for it are 3 new cavities and I'm now prediabetic. Clearly I need to improve my listening skills. Will try this instead and see what happens and report back. Fingers crossed.
Forget supplements. Just eat real, whole food that contain reservatrol (e.g., blueberries) and nmn (e.g., peanuts, mushrooms, avocado, sunflower seeds). You'll get the benefits without going broke paying for expensive, synthetic, and questionable supplements.
I think the issue will be concentration. I'd imagine I'm going to have to eat an awful lot of blueberries and avacado to get the sort of daily dose of these compounds I would from the supplements. As for 'synthetic'..meh. If I have a headache I can take a couple aspirin. Chewing the bark of a decent size branch of a white willow will give me a good amount of the active ingredient salicin which should help my headache. Or alternatively kill me since white willow bark contains all sorts of not so helpful compounds, and lichens growing on it can be highly toxic / nephrotic. Plus there's the whole issue of what exactly is an 'average' sized white willow branch, will the neighbours appreciate me eating their tree and how much extra will I need over and above the headache to relieve the jaw pain from all that chewing. So - terrible I know - I'll eschew the 'natural' willow bark form and instead take a couple white tabs of Acetysalicitic acid made in Frankenstein's lab by evil big pharma.

Started my 80 year old dad on 99% reservatrol (600-900 mgs/day) and 99% NMN (1/2-1 gram/day) on 09/01/21. He had declined steadily since Covid began in Jan. of 2020 to the point he wasn't even walking even though I had him on a number of supplements and modafinil (1/2 a tab). I was therefore very skeptical that these 2 supplements would make a difference, if any. Much to my surprise, yesterday 9/13/21 and today he walked up the road and back after 20 minutes on his spin bike. He even did a double session on his spin bike both days which I don't recall he ever did. I realize it is a controversial protocol for many if not most, but if he remains at this level or continues to improve I could care less. Thanks for the heads up.
Howard, I literally got goosebumps reading your comment. THIS is the reason I told my story publicly and why I'm here answering others every day. I am so happy for your dad! I wish him many more active years.
@@ThePulseChannel to be totally transparent for any doubters, I included 1) 1 gram of TMG per (away from meals) day per Sinclair's recommendation when using NMN. (note: Hoffman's (2009) study on TMG which reduced fatigue levels.) He took TMG in a 1:1 ratio with NMN. I ADDED IN 2) a little(!) niacin + B12+methylfolate (both relative to NMN dosing and the methylation issue). He does not drink any coffee, nor take any caffeine type supplements. Therefore, no real stimulants unless you consider 1/2 a tab/day of modafinil a stim. I don't. So, IMO the dramatic change occurred exclusively from RES+NMN+TMG (per the dosing schedule listed) in a very short time. 80 years old! Not 40 or 50, but 80. Thanks to Marcel's video which I came across by a fluke.
@@howardmiller1445 Thanks for elaborating on your dad's supplement routine. I also feel better on days I take TMG. I miss days occasionally with that one, but I feel it has like this all day coffee-like effect in a non jittery way. There are important vitamins out there for us to take, such as B12 and I'd suggest Vita D and C too. But as you said, the biggest changes also for me have been RES+NMN+TMG. Soon, I'm going to add Quercetin to my yogurt that currently contains Resveratrol and Vitamin C powder. My primary goal for Quercetin is to eliminate the Zyrtec I take on bad hay fever/allergy days. Quercetin is similar to Resveratrol and David Sinclair recently stated taking it also. I don't think it's "necessary" for your dad, per se, but I've decided after looking into it that it can't hurt and I'd rather take a naturally occurring substance than Zyrtec.
Howard, it is incredible to see. Howard has been a long time member of ours and we are so happy to have had this effect for him and his family. We are fortunate enough to see hundreds of these on a daily basis. Thank you again for your important work, and let me know if you need anything.
@@ThePulseChannel the application of QC in the pharmaceutical field is limited due to its poor solubility, low bioavailability, poor permeability and instability. HOWEVER, all is not lost. The F value of SIMPLE quercetin is only 2.0%, and the F values of isoquercetin, quercetin-3- O -maltoside, and alpha-glycosyl isoquercitrin are 12%, 30%, and 35%, These differences are huge differences. THEREFORE, YOU DON'T WANT SIMPLE QC if you can afford not to. It isn't really going to help regardless of purity. In the USA, I would "suggest" the INTEGRATIVE THERAPEUTICS QC.

Why do people in the west think is one food that give you longevity. Its multitude of things. How you sleep. How you eat .what's eating you. Cut all the garbage foods Alcohol,Sugar and High carb foods. Keep stress Low.
To clarify, yes I agree with you. And this topic is actually the theme of my next video. But, these two supplements took me vastly beyond what I had been able to reach with diet and exercise alone. NAD levels are in the cells, so it's not just about "energy".
Marcel, I wanted to let you know that I was inspired by this video to start taking 1 gram of real NMN everyday on October 1 this year. What particularly inspired me was your statement that your recovery time from tennis playing decreased markedly. Well, it worked for me too. My game is pickle ball. I’m 67. My most amazing result was the complete disappearance of the end-of-day edema, primarily in my ankles and feet. Totally gone now. That’s proof of significant circulation improvement. Case closed. I’ll never quit.
This video came out on my 20th birthday! I’ve been taking NAD+ boosters since I was 18 starting in May 9th, 2020 and my sleep and mental clarity have gotten so much better and I don’t get that sleepiness in the middle of the day. Before I started taking NR (precursor to NAD+), I felt super fatigued in my senior year and prior to that around 12:40pm, or right around my 5th or 6th period classes. It’s insane but now I fell like I’m 12 again and my sleep is the best it’s ever been and I have amazing dreams multiple times a week, rather than having those boring ‘blank dreams’.
This is a very interesting story. How about exercise? Are you including more of that? For us older (now younger again) folks, it's an import aspect of taking NAD boosters. I'm just personally very happy for you and I hope this leads you to great successes in your life. I hadn't given thought to the impacts for younger people, but recently I did hear some athletes were taking NMN or NR to boost their performance, stamina, focus, etc.
Well, a huge congratulations. Also, the dreams topic is very interesting too and reflects better quality dream states being reached. We are witnessing a real start of something new here.
I was feeling the same way, no energy, joints ached daily, the whole 9. Ketosis saved me. I can't begin to explain how much better I feel and the energy is enormous. I have lifted weights during this time and I've NEVER made strength gains so quickly. I've gotten to the point that I only eat carbs on the holidays and use that sugar/carb drag for some solid sleep. I was skeptical about the mental clarity that is attained through nutritional ketosis, so I took an IQ test before and after and there was a 9 point increase. Now, I don't think ketosis made me more intelligent, but, I do think a high carb diet holds you back in that regard. Now I will be looking into these compounds to see if I can get another boost. Getting old really sucks, kids.

As a seller on Amazon I can tell you Amazon is rapidly going down hill. They treat their legitimate sellers like crap whilst loads of Chinese sellers destroy the market with fake reviews, crap products and post negative reviews on their competitors pages which are often decent sellers. Yes, that's why I "look" better, but usually losing weight brings out more wrinkles, not less. And doesn't account for the many other benefits. It's as if to imply NMN and Resveratrol do nothing, but the science (even preliminary) does tell a very different story.

Very good in returning the body to optimal working order. Diversify your nutrition sources.
@mandandi - please, do not take vegetables with fruit in the same meal. It will cause you to have a fatty liver due to fermentation because they have different times of digestion. When you mix these two together, the fruit will be digested sooner than the vegetables and will have to sit waiting in your stomach until the vegetables are digested. During that waiting period, the fruit will start to decompose and start the fermentation process, which will cause many problems in your internal organs.

You say that as if I planned the the before picture in 2018 by intentionally scrunching... LOL So, losing 40 lbs by being able to physically move w/o pain and exercise better doesn't count into your equation? Regardless, you are focusing on the picture. That's only the outer layer. Feeling better inside and having my diabetic markers and elevated liver enzyme levels reduced to normal mean infinitely more than the pictures I can now pose for.
I feel no different after 2.5 years of 1g NMN and. 5g resveratrol daily. Then again I am a fit whole plant diet vegan so there's no improvement to be had.
@@Fearzero I'm curious, how old are you? Also, have you tried to stop taking it for a while to see if you feel differently. I'm just curious how different people react, because I get a lot of questions about this. It could be that you should try a different brand. Not all NMN and Resveratrol are the same, even they are really NMN. There are variables in the tests and results.
@@ThePulseChannel I am 50. I did go off it for 3 months after the first 3 months of taking it. I noticed no difference. I am taking anyway because of the potential for increasing healthspan although I stopped taking resveratrol after hearing about a scientific study that showed it nullified the positive effects of exercise.
@@Fearzero It hasn't been my experience, but I did hear about that study. I only take 300mg of Resveratrol, so maybe it's something people shouldn't take too much of. You might also try NR, I have friends getting the results I'm having with NMN. It appears to be equally as effect NAD booster.
Great video thx, but just for your information. Long before longevity was studied by scientists at Harvard, it was studied by the old daoist sages. I have followed those rejuvenation techniques in the last 4 years and undergone a complete body transformation. How do you think Sinclair found out about some of this stuff? The root of Japanese Knotweed, for instance, which is rich in Resveratrol, is explicitely described as a longevity herb in a 2000 year old Chinese materia medica, and the same goes for Ling Zhi / Reishi. The book is called Shennong Ben Cao Jing btw and can be bought on Amazon :) To make a long story short, you don't need to order compounds from a lab or shady online vendors in order to rejuvenate, you can also use plants that grow in the wild, you just need to know which ones, how to find them and how to process and consume them. Good luck!
I’m a practitioner of Chinese medicine. Ginseng is different depending where the herb comes from. The problem with these compounds is that these compounds are expensive and I hate that not every person can do that

Marcel - Thank you so much for sharing this video and your own experience in your experiment in these longevity supplements. Your experience is inspiring. I want to particularly thank you for your story about Creating. You explained the reason why you decided to stop taking creating because you felt some tightness in your muscle. After I watched your video, I thought the reason why I felt pains due to muscle tight maybe because of creating. I just stopped taking creating yesterday to see how I would feel. I immediately felt much better because my muscles especially around my hips and hamstrings. I am planning to give one week holiday on taking creating and doing stretches to help loosen my muscles and pains. However I love creating. It really helped me to reshape my body muscle. And I will not stop taking creating forever but give body a rest of taking it from time to time will help my body to be more flexible and less pains.
You don't need to take TMG if you're taking NMN. You only need to take TMG when you're taking NR (nicotinomide rhiboside, or however is spelled). NR requires methyl groups be taken from other molecules in the body to convert to a usable form, which can and most likely will cause your ALT and AST liver enzymes to spike as though you had fatty liver. I tested this by taking NR and getting a blood test a month later (I already know my baselines because I get blood tests every year), then I added TMG and tested my enzymes, then I stopped NR altogether and tested my blood and then I took NMN and had my blood tests a few times over the course of two years. My personal findings: NR might be dangerous to your liver, TMG didn't help me at all, liver enzymes still spiked. My liver enzymes have improved even better than my original baseline with NMN and I haven't taken any TMG since I stopped taking NR.

As I mention pretty often here, I use DoNotAge.org and you can use my code THEPULSE and save 10% through them. I have personally tested their NMN, which was the one I had received from a fake brand on Amazon in the past and I've been really happy with their purity and customer service since making that move.
I order it after showing my husband . It’s been 30 days I do feel better More energy more alert as I do work 75 hours a week plus work out.I’m kinda upset because my husband had A whole different result it’s almost as if he looks five years younger in the face.I’m starting To wonder is it Affects men and women differently .I do Appreciate the fact I have less brain fog so thank you for the Video.I will keep buying the products great customer service
Great to hear you're both experiencing positive results after 30 days like this. I'm not sure if it effects different people differently or if it just takes more time for some people. Thanks for checking in. Lots of stories like this now coming in. It's so gratifying to hear.

It's a difficult quandary. There needs to be more official recognition and oversight, but traditional medicine has driven treatment prices higher, not lower. I believe these supplements should be left to market forces, but we need regulation to avoid so many fake and impure products getting out.

New subscriber, looks like you're joining us down the longevity rabbit hole. Welcome. If you decide to read up on the nutritional and mineral deficiencies you are almost certainly running daily (recommend a comprehensive test), get ready for your daily stack to expand dramatically.
@@ThePulseChannel Look at it logically: if you're taking your health seriously now, why wouldn't you want to understand if you are running chronic nutritional deficiencies and test the health benefits of fixing them? As somebody who has, I can only say I recommend it, and not getting overly hung up on taking a few extra pills in the morning. I can all but guarantee you're deficient in multiple trace minerals as well as major groups like magnesium and potassium, along with amino acids like glycine and taurine.
I'm so inspired by the results I'm getting with NMN especially, that I recently stopped eating nearly all sugars and finally stopped eating processed foods, as well. I also do plan to research my blood tests and get an updated idea of where I'm at as well soon. Thanks.

I was taking Resveratrol over 10 years ago for about one year. It was amazing in the beginning, but I think the supplier changed the pill. It works if you get the good stuff. I was only 26 years old dating a anti aging scientist from Rice University. She was actually studying it back then.
You need to do cicles, i mean... Take it 1 month, stop, then beginning again... If you are young, you can't notice the difference, but your body will appreciate
I have never bought anything from Amazon. China is a bad bet. Niehenke, Don't have to be Einstein to get it right. The insipid caution of scientific inquiry
As someone who lives in the US, I have used Do Not Age rather than Afega for NMN and reservatrol. I wasn't impressed with Afega's COAs or prices (about double DNA and Alive by Science.) Shipping time for DNA is about 6-7 days from Britain to the midwest via DHL tracking. DNA responded promptly to my questions. Excellent COAs. No complaints so far. As to fake products, the supplement industry is and has been full of fake products; NMN is not a unique example.
Good points. Yes, AFEGA costs more, although they did recently reduce prices and my 20% code helps. They have the highest purity tests I've seen, but DoNotAge is great, so yes I understand what you mean.
@@ThePulseChannel the COA from Afega did not suggest or state anything near 99% purity. I believe the COA showed > 95%. which as a PhD biochemist means it is definitely less than 99%. quoting Afega; "You were informed about a sampling (NMN - purity> 95%, nicotinamide mononucleotide) by the LGL in a letter dated October 12th, 2020. The report of the LGL from 11.11.2020 regarding the product, NMN - purity> 95%, nicotinamide mononucleotide, etc. the following can be seen..." You may want to discuss this purity level directly with Afega,
@@howardmiller1445 I took the NMN from AFEGA to the lab here in Mainz Germany myself and I have the document. I'll scan it now and post a Drobox link to it. It is 99.1% Pure NMN. Their US test came back 99.7%, btw. Here's the link www.dropbox.com/s/kg738ike9vf6mma/AFEGA%20NMN%20Mainz%20Test.png?dl=0
@@ThePulseChannel why the difference between what is on their website and your results? are we possibly talking about their regular NMN versus their ultra pure NMN? Sounds like it. (Afega sells both.) Sounds like they sent you the ultra pure. I was referencing their regular NMN. Significant difference in price IMO.
@@howardmiller1445 It could be there are a couple kinds. Yes, I'm taking the ultra pure and that's what I had tested. I will discuss this with Peter at AFEGA. It's kind of confusing in that sense, but I'm just happy you got things sorted out for your day Howard.

I've got the intermittent fasting about 2 months. I lost 5 kilograms of weight and I feel like myself younger than before. I have two meals a day, my breakfast and lunch. Just miss the dinner. Instead of dinner I can drink a lot of water and eat any vegetables. It is new chapter of my life. My advice who wants to don't age just following me. Good luck to everyone
Seems like David Sinclair doesn't really have much to say about " *The Science* " of aging. He only ever has something to say about *HIS* science; that is, the results from his lab in particular. Which is fine, until his findings are challenged by results from other labs (like ITP for instance.) In such times, he's extremely quick to dismiss anything that don't confirm or support his findings. Which makes me very suspicious of his conclusions and his overall approach.
Seems very difficult just to get real olive oil - seems most all are adulterated (rumour is with corn oil - cheaper oils such as canola - trying to read about oils and every thing is claimed and reputed often in the same article. The more I read, the more confused I get. Same for honey.
Yes, the FDA has failed us for sure. But, you can find it and usually the taste alone is a giveaway. But, you raise very valid points about even foods being essentially fake.

It’s great that you started exercise and taking supplements, but don’t fool yourself cause you are still aging and you look like your 60’s. It’s good that you are doing positive things to keep your health better.
i'm 70, for 18 months, after listening to Dr. Sinclair and studying on my own, i took NMN, Resveratrol and Metformin......i felt great .....45 days ago i let the regimen lapse.......i feel like shit all over.......i'm back on it and mightily hopeful
Keep us posted Mark. I went off Resveratrol only for 5 days just last week because I was changing brands and each day my energy level dipped further, because I was changing brands. The previous brand was also from Amazon and I had planned to get off of it when it ran out after my discovery with NMN Max being fake. Now I'm taking the DoNotAge Resveratrol and I not only have my energy restored, but I feel calmer and the slight edginess I had is gone. So, the level of purity is clearly an issue, which Dr Sinclair has mentioned in interviews.
