FEELSWALKER TEARS! - SO IT FINALLY HAPPENED... (MSQ Reaction) - Cobrak Endwalker FFXIV (Urianger) 

Man, these are the kind of moments that, for me, MSQ is all about. From shocked and worried for Urianger to 😭 in literally 2 seconds.

Urianger's moment was completely unexpected and completely perfect.

"Silly boy...we are all powerless before such grief. Even now the words escape me..." I lost my mother almost a year ago. I'm the one who found her in the final stages of rigor mortis on her livingroom floor, no clue before hand anything was amiss. I was the one to break the news to my sister, father and aunt via phone, and not knowing the phone number of any of mom's numerous friends or how to unlock her phone, I instead drove to her best friend's house that afternoon to deliver the news in person. For days, the only thing I could say in regards to the grief was, "This sucks." Those were the only words I could come up with, and I am so grateful no one took offense to it, thinking that I was understating the situation.

Urianger is my favorite character, and seeing him finally feel the weight of his self imposed guilt lift off him made me cry heavily

Urianger blamed himself for SO MUCH from the beginning; from Moen, to Minfillia, to Ryne, and he just kept it all in and *finally* having a mother figure hug him and tell him it's okay was so cathartic for me

The beautiful thing about the Urianger moment with Moenbryda's parents is that it was set up all the way at the beginning of the expansion in a bit dialogue where he said that he hadn't spoken to Moenbryda's parents directly since her passing and while he wanted to do so while he was in Sharlayan again he didn't know how to go about it. The game then makes sure to give character development moments to Urianger in particular so that he's never too far from your mind and when this scene comes around it just hits you like a ton of bricks. This is yet another one of those scenes that just brings tears to my eyes whenever I see it because there's not just the scene itself but all the buildup in the game leading up to the scene as well as its personal relevance to similar situations in my own life.

A Mother's Love is so powerful that I was tearing up at this scene too man, God I miss my mom... these last 4 year without her hurt... this scene reminded me how much she loved me and my sisters, when I reply this story on my alt I'm probably going to be tearing up again nonetheless

That scene gets everyone, it seems. Every time I see it, I cry. And then Urianger finally breaks down, and there I go again crying. Urianger, the reserved, quiet, well read individual..never letting his emotions show too much..and finally breaking down. I felt that.

Both Urianger and Fourchenault moments destroyed me. Shadowbringers was perfection. And yet, Endwalker, somehow, managed to go even beyond that. I love this game so much. I honestly think it's the best story in gaming I have ever experienced. By far. BTW. in the cutscene where companions appear. Characters from all raids appear if you beat them. Including Alpha etc. It hits even more. Some of them are replaced by random NPCs, if you haven't done the specific raid, like Shadow of Mhach with the Sky Pirates.

And here is why I now view Urianger as one of the best Scions. While he had moments in previous expansions, ShB had some great character building for him, but this built on that and called back to things from ARR and really humanised him beyond Mr Dialog Doth Ye Skip. T'was incredible to watch and see all the details like his shaking arms or the amazing VA work, that whole scene hit real hard.

This was /the/ Urianger moment for me; it encapsulates who he is as a person, a gentle soul who deeply cares about his companions and loves learning and teaching those around him. I'm SO glad they tied up this long, long thought forgotten thread of Moenbryda. The scene with her parents MURDERED ME. The "pen in shaky hand" line did me in. As if I wasn't already dying from the hug. 😭

For some reason I took a liking to Urianger as early as ARR, despite everyone making fun of his mannerism and the way he talk. I felt so bad for him when Moenbryda died. Hearing her parents thank him for being himself despite the bullying and meaning so much to her was just heartbreakingly touching. 😭

So at 18:00 the quest will actually show your progress in the game, doing certain Raids and Trials series will add more characters who will be present. In fact, Sorobon will have an entirely different reason for being there if you do the Stormblood Trial series.

And just like that, Fourchenault is a father reborn. It's good to have Dad back.

The story left me a emotional mess and here I am again crying.

Mah man, Urianger has such wonderful character growth this expansion! Love it!

Ah...the differences in that cutscene is pretty noticeable without stormblood raids completed. Think it's worth a rewatch in the inn whenever you complete it :)

I just recently learned that the same voice actress for Moenbryda's mom also voiced Dulia Chai and well... there were more tears.

I have an undeniable streak of Urianger within me as well... this one hit extemely hard.

This was the point that the feels really started and don't let up for the rest of the expac. Such a beautifully written story. Urianger was the first moment where I completely broke down.

Fourchenault's comment about hoping his father would find a way to succeed hit extra hard for me, considering that (as a 1.0 player and even moreso having been present at Carteneau) Louisoix was the one who essentially discovered our talent, set us on our path as a warrior of light, and ultimately, saved our lives by teleporting us into the future to carry on the fight as he faced down Bahamut alone.

This scene made me cry so hard. He so needed that closer and comfort. I know she had such a small screen time but she had such a impact on one of the characters that when seeing this scene and them all breaking down together to morn her death was just to much. As I said he so deserved this closer to ease his burden and heart

The scene on the dock is different if you had done the Void Ark raid and Omega Raids. It includes characters you meet in those raids. I was wondering if there where differences and your video helped me spot them.

I loved Urianger so much after Shadowbringers and Endwalker made me love him even more. Seeing his reunion with Moen's parents was so bittersweet! And honestly, the confirmation that Ameliance's has basically been single-handedly funding the Scions the whole time makes the make that Alphinaud buying an over-priced samurai sword all the more hilarious .

shit, they really hit us with the one-two punch in the feels during these quests lol. holy moly.

2:05. Uri’s had so much development. Those who knew him in ARR wouldn’t recognize him. 6:22. Remember on the moon he mentioned a friend who would pepper him with questions as he read? 8:23. Another thing to keep in mind. It’s been X months since Moen died as far as her parents are concerned. For Uri add three more years on the First and it’s still only now he begins to heal. 14:50. Like Azems being wacky, reckless wanderers. 17:35. This is your reward for doing side content. Almost ever side raid and trial series adds more vehicles, people and lines. 28:50. Beautiful always. Those words again. 29:50. MY influence? Up until the banquet THEY were the ones dragging ME into trouble.

The thing about the adamantite gathering event is that it greatly differs on how many of the raids in all the expansions u did making it all the sweeter when u did :) And the feels, oh yeah, they definitely know how to time them, thats for sure. And Hydelyln, now that left me truly in tears.

That scene at the start left me a sobbing mess. A near 40 year old grown ass man sobbing like a child T_T

I was such an emotional mess in so many parts of this expansion, but the Urianger bit with the parents was just too much and I was undone. The story is just amazing! ❤❤

If you havent already got to the end - there's now a wonderful little sidequest at the Last Stand in Sharleyan harbour. It takes two minutes, maybe three, but is a fantastic bit of writing, and shouldnt be missed.

I cried during the scene with Moen's parents. T_T

17:41 this part changes if you’ve done all of the Void Arc raids, because Cait Sidhe and the Captain would be leading the formation. 18:12 this part also gets more details if you’ve done the Hells Lid quests.

I was surprised by the amount of extra lines and appearances depending on progress on a ton of different side plots for the dock scene. I've watched someone who had cleared everything (I'm missing a couple things), and someone who had only done MSQ, and there are a couple minutes of nothing but shoutouts to everyone who you've helped over the ages. Also Fourchenault, your realization has saved you broken kneecaps, but do remember: you disowned your kids, I adopted them, that hasn't changed. :3

Hope the Omega raids have been done by now to see someone show up on the docks.

If it helps, while leveling, use food for the dungeons (it adds up), also, I’d recommend picking up the hunts in Old Sharlayan. There’s creatures in every area that you can get a good chunk of experience and a different currency for killing, you can specifically seek them out for Nuts, or just kill the baddies with the little icon over their head as you pass by. It helps keep your experience up by just running around where you already are. Plus, there’s always the daily roulettes that give a pretty good chunk of exp, but can be a bit of a wait with two dps. Glad you’re still having a blast and love to see your journey.

As you might already know, the Loporrit jingle is a reference to FFIV's Humminways who hummed that jingle.

You have missed so much content from the previous expansions, in the cutscene where you go to pick up the boxes there is a lot of camos from pre shadowbringers raids and endgame dungeons, if you done dem.

That Urianger scene was a blindside for sure... that was a 7.5 year closure scene for some of us vets. It's interesting to see how everyone's reactions are to all the loose ends/closure scenes like that one. Someone mentioned it below, the harbor scene having more people based on what content you had run up to that point. There are actually quite a few of these scenes that are different depending on how much of the side content one has completed. Not just sidequests but jobs also. Those who have leveled all the different jobs have the job quest NPC's show up in these bits as well. Non spoiler but a heads up, the Omega and Bozja raid/quest line are definitely ones to run/finish sooner rather than later after MSQ/Pandaemonium.

I had kinda expected a reunion ever since they mentioned it when we arrived... but then I totally forgot about it again. That reunion was a bombshell of emotions and tears, lemme tell you... 14:54 --- This is kinda my explanation why the WoL is such a powerhouse, helping soul and curious to a fault. I imagine there is already some sort of imprint on the soul that persists in death and survives in all incarnations. It would also explain why you/we and Ardbert were so alike each other in character. A FATE everyonce in a while does wonders ^^° You can also start the role quests in Rhaz-ah-Han. The stories are all disconnected of the MSQ and they all have a nice spin to them concerning the futures of your/our allies. Just finished the tank one yesterday - it was quite the journey :)

I'm so glad she still hits. I've replayed MSQ since the 2.x rework and I swear they shortened her story, I'm happy it still hits the same 😁

U really should watch this cutscene with the deliveries again, after u did all the mayor sidequests (the ones with trials, raids, dungeons and alliance-raids in them) of former expansions. There is even more to see and feel in this scene if u do

If you had completed side stories like Void Ark or Omega raids, you would met even more people on these docks :3. This part is so amazing!

Yeah, if you did the Four Lords Trials questline and the Omega Raids from post Stormblood, Soroban's dialogue and Varshan's dialogue about Midgardsormr would be a fair bit different. This cutscene blew my mind with all the callbacks to the optional content I did, which was basically everything while I waited for EW (except I never finished the last Eureka quest)

This one really was a gut punch I didn't expect. I never got attached to Moenbryda, but this scene destroyed me.

I think it's safe to say that Urianger was very much the star of the show in endwalker, at least until elpis. All his character building is some of the best scenes in the game. I can say I did not expect them to focus so much on him but I appreciated that they did.

I alrdy cried so much during EW, but this really broke me. Uri was running around with the heavy burden since ARR...god I love Isihkawa Q_Q

Feels ambush is a critical success! The Mom vibes are so strong throughout this expansion.

One of many things I liked about the Uriange scene is it also appears to be the first use of a hug animation in the story. I wonder if they have been saving it all this time for that. Also, if you do all the alliance raids and the Tengen storyline in Stormblood, that delivery scene is a little bit different. A number of things are missing from yours. Oh you guys haven't done several 8-man and 24-man raids? You should, the adamantite scene will have a couple interesting bits

Did you miss the side boss and ally raid for HW and SB? it seem like you miss a good old friend from those contents so you might need to try Newgame+ in later patch for full experience several of dialogue will change a lot character will appear or bring mention

I remember not liking Urianger in 2.0. He was just an exposition dump of a character. Now he and the rest of the Sions grew on me, from campy/corny generic beginnings to characters I actually wanna see grow and thrive and be witty.

"You can live here your entire life and hardly learn a thing." Tell me about it. I saw a guy on a busy intersection today, in his late sixties to mid seventies, holding a sign that said, "Stop wearing masks!"

Yeah, hope there's tissue boxes near your setups. The game's only starting to crack its knuckles here...

It seems to me that I'm in a distinct minority in that Moenbryda's death hit me even less than Conrad's.

Also, you should know that the BIG cut-scene in the harbor changes depending on how much content in the game you've actually done. Judging by the amount of things I DIDN'T see in your cut-scene I'm guessing that you've not done much of the content outside of the MSQ, which is a little sad because there are touches of things all throughout the storyline including voiced lines that are different depending on this (this isn't anything new, mind you, but there's certainly MORE of it in EW than in any other expansion that I've seen).

You should have done all the raids before, you missed out a lot of stuff by not doing them (especially the omega raid series)
