As a lalafell player, the duel cutscenes with Zenos is both hilarious and epic at the same time.

"But why does it yet live? Surely it is no match for you."

The part of this that made me hype was actually seeing life in Zenos' eyes in 34:30 . He always had dead eyes no matter what expression he had before, but here, he's alive and his soul is ablaze for the first time in his life and i LOVE it

When Y'shtola and Thancred scolded our character, the general joke amongst my FCs was: "Mom and dad are mad at me!!! I'm going to be grounded until next patch!"

"I'm not going down now bi***, I'm sorry!" That absolutely tickled me and had me in giggles.

Meteion: "I wish to hear your words (HEAR)... Share your feelings (FEEL)... Know your thoughts. (THINK)"

One theory of how the teleport device appeared so fortuitously is that Zenos opened the way forward for you in much the same way that the rest of Scions did leading up to Meteion's nest.

Bang-up job Sophie, especially noticing immediately and editing in the reference to praying to the twelve. It took me 'til my 3rd run of that fight to notice. The ending of the Endsinger fight you both had was epic and fit the theme of the expansion completely, lmao. Where will FFXIV and life take all of us after this, who knows. I hope it's fun, at least. :)

From start to finish, y'all have been an absolute joy to watch--congrats on finishing Endwalker!

"Did you find... Fulfilment?" I don't know if this was Zenos talking to the WoL, or the Devs talking to us.

You know what the Endsinger fight reminds me of? The Lich King. The boss is overwhelming. The boss appears to win. Then some plot thing with NPC happens and initiates the last phase, which is basically the players dishing out a satisfying beat down on the boss and the boss not being able to do anything about it. Of course here, the Endsinger can still kill your raid, but this last phase is considerably easier than what came before.

Couple lil things: You can find all the scions at the places they said they were headed to, for some nice lil interactions. For the transporter appearing after the Zenos fight, it appeared because that was his dying wish for his only friend, we are the only ones who could share in what he believed was most precious and worth living for. We gifted him his inner most desire, in return he gave us the chance to continue on. (Which as players is our desire) So much 4th wall in those last bits, Yoshi and CB3 speaking to us

I *love* The Final Day. Probably my favorite trial. Firstly, Zenos! After he actually *listens,* *understands* how our character feels, and *thinks* about Alisaie's words, and decides to flip the script on us, and do the classic RPG staple of "If I help you finish your chores, will you give me what I want?" Then we get to Phase 1. The planets colliding around us, the impacts throwing us around, and all the while, she looms over us, weeping and crying out at the ends she has witnessed. And her health bar is barely being scratched by us. She is terrifying in how little she cares about what we're doing. The music too! It starts off being a Mashup of each of the X.0 bosses we have triumphed over. Shinryu, Ultima Weapon, King Thoridan, and Hades, in order. That medley alone is amazing. But then we get to the transition to phase two. The fleeting moment of triumph we have in actually tanking that massive planet, and then the rewind utterly crushing us, giving the player the desperation our characters would be having in that moment. Everyone checking every skill, spell, weaponskill, trying to do something about this planetfall, and we just end up blacking out... And then our friends back on the ship light the way. They call back to the prayer in the ARR cinematic, and grant us the strength to endure, and triumph. In that moment, *everything* shifts. The Endsinger is no longer looming and brooding, but pulling away, crying out in fear, and *flailing* at us. A new boss theme starts playing, based on "The Maker's Ruin". It is no longer the theme of the bosses we have conquered; it is now OUR boss theme. We hear our allies prayers, and one by one, we get that stacking buff, seven sticks of a massive damage boost. And when the last prayer lands, the song transitions from our theme to the Song of Hope, reinforcing the link: We are from the Last Bastion of Hope, and in this time, in this place, we are the embodiment of that Hope. When the Song of Hope started playing, I started crying. It moved me that much. To my credit, I kept up my rotation through the tears.

Funny how when Zenos actually listened to Alisae's advice, he finally got his wish. Just like Metion, the answer to his desire was in front of him all along.

I like to think Zenos' dying wish was for you to live on, and the dynamis left in the area brought the transporter back to you

As many times as I heard Meteion say "I wish to Hear your words, share your Feelings, and know your Thoughts" throughout Endwalker, it didn't click for me until that post-trial cutscene that those were the words Hydaelyn had been saying since A.R.R. Hear, Feel, Think. They did that subtle enough as to not make you think about it. I do love the writing team.

I would say while nihilism is a theme of this expac, it's not in the way most people think. The theme is more of a positive nihilism. That is to say, life may not have a capital-M Meaning, but instead people should find their own meaning or purpose in life rather than expect one to be thrust upon them. Zenos vs Meteion is a perfect showcase philosophically. The latter was trying to find that Meaning to existence, but was so focused on it that she fell into despair when she couldn't find it. Meanwhile, Zenos knows that there isn't one, but instead fully dedicates his life to one particular purpose to create his own meaning. While it happens to be a selfish one in his case, and he takes it to an extreme that causes him to commit atrocities, he's still "right" from the game's philosophy, and other characters seem to agree. Most importantly, your character agrees. Especially with Hydaelyn now gone, they are completely free to decide their own purpose in life, as are the Scions.

Did you notice that phase 1 of Endsinger battle OST is all porevious x.0 final boss themes? Fun fact, Emet, Lahabrea & Elidibus mask symbols are in the crystal you make by activating Azem's crystal before the final battle. They're helping us. :D Also, I'd suggest you replay the last dungeon of EW and read all the notes scattered through the dungeon. It gives depth to the story, much like Twinning notes reveal how G'raha came to the First. Amazing stuff. :D BTW. This was edited supremely!

Again, nice editting on that final screenshot. Even though your worried about what comes next, keep in mind what Emet-Selch said. There are many adventures to be had. While they may not be on such grand a scale, I have no doubt that they will be enjoyable and memorable. The Pandaemonium raid is basically what that endscene was alluding to btw. Since there are quite a few raids you guys missed out on, I request that you record your reactions to the ones you've never seen before. They are quite thrilling. Also don't mind if the viewership kinda dwindles on your vids for a moment. Usually after people finish the MSQ they have noticed that viewers kinda go off. Don't be discouraged though and doubt the content you provide. You guys are excellent content creators and now that the MSQ is finished, I will still stick around to check what you guys are up to every once and a while!

one word regarding your msqs together and the journey to the end of a long walk, "Amazing!"

I have to say, again the VAs in this game are amazing and Bethan Walker (alisae) has mastered that heartbreaking sob.. i just wanted to hug her until everything was ok. I've seen some people speculate that its Zenos' last wish that the WOL return, he's gone, he's gotten what he wants and in his own way he knows that the WOL wouldn't be content with this.. its an interesting line of thought at least. Also that last scene punching out zenos looked very silly as a fancily dressed healer catgirl, all in white astro gear and punching people in the face.

Note how phase 1 of the trial is all 4 of the original final fights of ARR through Shadowbringers remixed. Ultima Weapons theme, Thordans theme, Shinryus theme and Hades theme. Phase 2 when they are praying is also a call back to FFIV. On the final fight of IV. All of Cecils friends are praying or giving him their strength so he can press on.

This entire climax, was a journey worth every waking moment reflecting on so many years of stories Zenos at the end was a cherry on top bonus satisfaction I'm more than happy they gave us

I love when you talk to Meteion at the end in the void, and she goes all glowy and letting the hope out of Pandora's box, and how the sky changes to a starry sea and a new dawn breaks, where as earlier she was all like how there would be no stars and there would be no dawn in that place.

I'm dying to see how they have Meteion show up in the future. I wager she'll be on her own adventure, flying across the world to see more of life. Maybe she and Alpha will team up at some point!

Fun Fact: If you read the notes, the people who were "perfect" were perfectly fine until Meteion showed up and asked them her question. That's what broke them. And the second world used Meteion as an excuse to kill each other because she contacted one group before the other, so that group deemed themselves superior and went on a rampage against the other group. So thanks, Hermes! Good job! You annihilated at least a couple groups of people with your question! (slow clap) Also all three peoples were allegories for groups on Etheryis. The "perfect" people were what the Ascians of old would have become like if they had ever reached their goal related to the star. The middle people are the never-ending conflict with the Garleans. The first people are a rough mirror for what had been happening on The First before we got there.

PALADINS FTW!!!!! I love those moments as a tank when the healer(s) die and then you slowly see everyone die too, you're the last one standing and you're like "ULTRA INSTINCT"

Endwalker closed many doors but opened up the entire Universe to us! Dynamis is a new form of power for us to master & can maybe bring new jobs! Dancer for sure is a Dynamis job, the job quest about the song of sorrow is confirmation! We know have access to space travel, & the planets we visited now have life on them! Hopefully now we can do the rejoining's now without total destruction! We may also find a way to save the 13th shard! We can explore the whole of the planet Eytherius! So much is open to us now & the Adventure will NEVER END ....!!!!!!

Thank you, both of you, for the time and work put in to sharing your adventure.

The epilogue of Endwalker is the _best_ thing I have seen in over 40 years of playing video games. This final episode of your journey? At least five tissues to collect the joyful tears. I absolutely adored going through the storyline again with your reactions, Cobrak and Sophie. Thank you immensely. I will be sitting a spell, and listening much and more, I think.

Congrats on making it to the end guys :) That final scene in the credits with the Scions walking past the Ancients fucking got me, I'd held it together pretty well until that point but that one got me. The artwork of that scene is absolutely gorgeous too, and it may or may not be my PC wallpaper. Had a feeling Venat would grow on you pretty quick after that first Elpis video ;)

When the reaction to just seeing the name of quest is that strong, you know it's going to be good.

Ra-La is basically the final answer that the stars gave to Meteion. If you look at the way the Dead Ends starts, it begins with you surrounded by several Blue Bird Meteia. As the dungeon rolls on, they get progressively darker as they absorb more and more of the despair of the world around them. Remember back to when she said she loved Candied Apples even though she was incapable of eating them. That was just her observing Hermes' love for them and believing it herself. I encourage you to go back and read the dungeon journals in the Dead Ends on your own time in Trusts because every piece of it has two journals which tell the past of their worlds, as well as their encounter with Meteion. By the time you reach The Plenty and read their bit about Meteion, you'll see that she desperately keeps asking them why they live, hoping for a different answer. In the end, their creation of Ra-La was what finally broke her into believing what they believe, that even with eternal peace, life isn't worth living. It's a really glaring oversight that makes me sorta dislike Hermes even though he meant well. He claimed to love these creatures, but in Meteion (his most beloved creation of all) he never gave her an option to choose her own path. She was basically being forever brainwashed by whatever was around her, both good and bad.

Meteion being a blue bird is highly symbolic, the bluebird of happiness. In many cultures around the world, including Japanese and American cultures, a bluebird is the harbinger of happiness. Etherys is Meteion's home world too, so she is back home. (Elidibus and Emet-Selch said "save our star.") Provided you got U-know-who out of there, if you visit the Rising Stones after completing Endwalker 6.0, but before going on to 6.1+, Tataru is the only person there. See what she says to you.

Congrats!! I've loved following these videos and I'm so excited that you got to experience this story. The question on shb vs endwalker is such an interesting wonder. I feel like shb stood on its own fairly well, telling a unique story in another world using characters and story beats we've been given in the past as well as introducing new questions. On the other hand endwalker was a victory lap and a love letter to fans old and new to the franchise and i believe that the love that exists for this expansion could not exist without the decade of work put into everything that came before it. Its almost an apples and oranges question but I look forward to both of your thoughts! ❤️

Congratulations on clearing ENDWALKER! that was a fun and amazing journey! That time when Shinryu appeared in Ultima Thule, I was like, "OMG, Zenos really is my friend *cries". After that epic battle with the final trial and we get to fight Zenos (I chose the first option, because.)... lemme share to you a Lalafell's perspective... it was glorious! a smol potato having a fist fight! I dont know how my smol punches easily connected, but it did, and I love it!

But each time Meteion flails she gets her down damage up buff. So it's a race of who can kill who first. 28:00 I'm not crying, you're crying! 38:18 Lalas doing that is absolutely hilarious. 47:55 I loved the ananta sobbing in the background by Coultenet. 55:45 Yup, falling back to behind the scenes like we were before the Ultima Weapon.

OMG your final day trial was so epic haha. Also ngl i didn't look back even once in final days so i didn't know about the epic light coming from behind.

I've been playing video games since the 80s. This may be the single most satisfying ending to a video game ever.

At the end of 5.0, I thought XIV was the best FF game ever made, at the end of 5.3, it got upgraded to the best game I've ever played, after 6.0, I can confidently say, XIV Endwalker is one of the greatest games ever made. This video series was the absolute best, loved watching your journey through (despite being a bit late, I had to finish my own MSQ after all), yet stand tall my friends, our journey will never end :)

Those ending credits are legit like 45+ minutes long. They also feature images and songs from all our journey up to now, and really give you the time to sit back and bask in everything that last zone hits you with

Oh hey I didn't notice this the first time through, but there's something Alphinaud does here that really reminds me of his grandpa. Can't remember if you two have done the thing where it's shown, so won't mention it specifically, but really the similarity is uncanny.

at 16:00 I would have loved a dialog of "come my friend lets end this together quickly." and I would have loved a quick time event watching zenos fight her as the dragon.

I have a theory on what's next - and it involves a certain Ishgardian's adventure's in Thavnair. The last of the First Brood, Azdaja, is missing, and Vrtra wants Estinien to go find him. That will take him, and us, to either Meracydia, or more likely, the New World, the continent to the west where Blue Magic and the Mamool Ja are from. As Eme said, we still havent been to the ruins under the Bounty (this is probably going to be the Relic Weapon zone for EW), Meracydia, the New World, the north of Othard....

3:41 Just perfect timing on that victory fanfare cut short by a massive explosion. :D

so, obviously just a theory, but i think the teleporter came from zenos. when he died, he unconsciously used his remaining dynamis to call the teleporter to you and activate it, bringing you back to the ship and people that could heal you back from the brink of death. in his own twisted way, he does care and doesn't think you should die alone in the middle of nowhere and his final thoughts were probably a wish for you to live like thancred telling the scions to survive before he disappeared and thus created air and so on and so forth. the teleporter appearing as he dies lines up with the idea of him using dynamis to summon it.

This expansion blew me away in how well it brings the story to a end so well, reminded me of how Lords of the Rings did it, gave me the same feeling as well. The fact that we have no idea whats going to happen now is the best thing they could have done, to go forward with a clean slate, gonna be epic! I also hope u have alot of fun with the 2 endgame dungeons and the raids, who all are fun and interesting in their own way, especially the raid. I loved that final picture u two did together! so cute! lets all have plenty of fun in the future :)

Good job on both of you for this hell of a journey. Extra kudos to Sofie for the editing. Now you are with the rest of us on the same level, it happened in ShB but it was a short time so join us in the suffering of waiting for patches for more story hahahaha. Also when you say, where do we go from here? Who knows, Emeth planted the seeds for what we could encounter, but im sure we will have one hell of a buildup for another epic story. There's absolutely no way and I'll say with total confidence that not a chance the next expansion will be better than EW or ShB, even when compare it with those 2 is totally unfair, but i believe in the team that next expansion and the next story we will journey will be a very good one that in expansions beyond that will emotional drain us just like this one. Cause rn they show us, they can put a proper ending to an amazing story with years of build up

and thus the final curtain falls, for a new one to rise, with new parts for all to play Super curious to see where we go from here, as it's going into a brand new arc I imagine things are gonna refresh and start with a much smaller scale - my best guess right now is joining up with Estinien and Vrtra to set up a grand adventure in Meracydia for 7.0, but I'm down for whatever new ride they want to take us on :)

Every ending is a new beginning ^^ can't wait for more
