They really nailed the "scope" of a fight. Really breaks immersion for me when some of these combat games gives you a division and you see 5 tanks. Or 2 regiments spread across a couple hundred meters.
Anti-Tank rifles team seeing the enemy, but not engaging is due to ATR guys being able to spot enemies while crouching and standing, but can only fire the rifle from the bipod while prone.
Lovely gameplay as always! Since on the topic of air power, someone remind me please, how do we assign friendly air power to units? Or do we not assign it and it's totally automatic??
Just started playing myself, enjoying your content while I learn. I do have a question about initial deployment, should I always place each and every "unit" by hand or should I place the commander and select a formation? It just seems like a lot of time setting up the deployment of quite a lot of troops.
Depends . If you want them in a specific position (or to exploit a terrain feature) then you should place by hand , if it's not that important use the formation . You want to make sure they have good LOS (especially crew weapons and especially on defence) .
Enemy plopping their guns in a middle of a flat plane will happen at least once per playthrough. Unless it’s the border incident campaign- there is no artillery or flat fields :)
