The Feiyu Pocket 2 2S Type C to 3.5mm MIC Adapter is made for those who want better quality sound out of their FeiyuTech Pocket 2 camera gimbal. It attaches to the USB charger plug on the side of the pocket 2. This instantly gives the Feiyu Pocket 2 a 1/8 stereo jack input for microphones.

I have had this adapter for a few weeks now & to be honest it's a total disappointment! I did not know that you cannot use regular Lavalier Microphones with it, which is what I normally use! I tried a few on it & they produce a loud waterfall/white noise sound alongside the actual audio & some only come out of the right channel! So apparently you can only use expensive powered microphones! I had problem with the Osmo pocket, you can use any mic with that! This with the firmware update us even worse. Audio is ultra low now also! Why did you not mention the fact that regular mics don't work with it mate??

As mentioned in the video, you definitely have to use a very good powered mic. You need to keep the preamp out of the feiyutech pocket. It kind of comes to reason dur to the fact that nothing this small will have a good preamp. Make sure that you boost your sound in your lavalier belt pack. normally they have a setting to get the signal hotter. Although those belt packs are not the best, they are way better than counting on the Feiyu for a good signal.

Yers but you need to plug it in the 1/8 jack

Hi very good review.. I bought the mic connector, but theres a lot of white noise i used 2 different microphone same issue..

You need to us a mic with an active "hot" signal like the Rode I have

that's way too big and inconvenient.. the whole point of a pocket camera is for it to fit in your pocket on the go... is there ary other alternatives??

Hmm. Good question. You are starting to multiply your equipment though. Also, it comes down to impedance. You might be best to make sure that you get an active mic and not a passive one.

do you think this adapter can work with a very small mic like Boya BY-P4? the description says the adapter has an output voltage of 2 volts and small mics like lapel mics don't need much power. did feiyu intentionallly create this adapter to work exclusively on powered mics? that's depressing.

Unfortunately I believe so. I think that the problem with having higher input gain is that you need an internal preamp. I prefer having a powered mic take care of that because given the size of this thing. Even if it had a preamp, the noise level would be through the roof.

Sorry about that. It is the Rode NTG1 but it doesn't seem available these days. So I will save you some cash and send you to the Comica clone. The Comica is good, you just need to tweak the EQ in post. Here is the link: amzn.to/3ktCIFC

Yes. You will have to play with your gain settings on the wireless Go though. But if I am not mistaken, the Wireless go sends a hot signal

Mam pytanie bo właśnie dostałem ten adapter i mikrofon nagrywa dużo ciszej i słabiej niż ten w kamerze czy są gdzieś jakieś ukryte ustawienia ???mikrofon zasilany boya by-sm80

Należy upewnić się, że używany mikrofon jest mikrofonem zasilanym. W tym filmie używałem zasilanego mikrofonu shotgun Rode NTG. Sygnał musi być "hot"

@@JacquesGaines zasilany BOYA BY-SM80 nagrywa strasznie cicho a gdy mikrofon podłącze w wyjście słuchawkowe w mikrofonie to jest bardzo głośno ale powinien być łączony z Pocket 2 kablem do wyjścia mikrofonu a nie słuchawek .Próbowałem też mikrofonów krawatowych z zasilaniem bezprzewodowych i słabiutko wymienili mi adapter bo zachodziło podejrzenie że jest uszkodzony ale to samo

Will it work with any USB-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter and if I plugged in some Apple EarPods, will it still record audio?

I believe that it won't. I tried it with an adapter I had for the Fujifilm XT200 and it did not work. Hope that helps

Is it possible to connect larger, handheld microphones to this camera with the Adapter? If so, do you have any recommendations on what microphone I could use that fits that description? I know it may be weird to want a handheld mic with a pocket cam, but I don't like speaking into a camera/mic in public and would likely just use the mic when the camera is just filming me (say, for a voice over or something the like) in a setting where the cam is not moving. I've been looking for such a mic for a bit, but I haven't had any luck and would be glad if someone could help me out!

Yes I think so. But as I stated in the video, it needs to be a mic with its own preamp. The Rode mic I had in this would work great

I am currently considering going for a wireless option, but from what I hear, so long as I can connect the transmitter/receiver with a 3.5mm jack, that should work fine (RODELINK TX-M2 + RODELING RX-CAM). Hey, could you use it with 3rd party usb c to 3.5 mm adapter? They didnt put the feiyu adapter in my country marketplace. And can you use it with wireless mic which receiver has already an usb c male jack and plug it straight to the feiyu pocket 2? Thanks! Really need help
