The tree isn’t terrible but I feel like they missed a pretty huge opportunity. There are so many ways make a metamorphosis centered tree that would be insanely cool. Even just making meta “permanent” (give you perma demon form model and a few passive buffs) would be better imo. Alternatively they could’ve gone for a super powerful meta that turns you into a unique fel demon and gives you a ton of stats. Maybe the vfx aren’t implemented yet and it actually looks super cool but currently I’m pretty disappointed they managed to make a tree about one of the most visually recognizable abilities in wow somehow look kinda bland
they said the visual fx are slowly being added and that not all of them visually look how they want it to at the moment so they'll update it im pretty sure :P

The thing about the increased crit damage for Immo Aura is that it would interact with Havoc’s Ragefire talent. In brief, what that does is store a portion of Immo Aura crits, then explodes all that stored damage on whatever is nearby at certain intervals. More crit damage = more Ragefire damage. It’s limited on how many crits it can store, so specifically buffing crit damage instead of crit chance is a good indicator they had Ragefire in mind for this. Take a look at Havoc M+ logs to see how much Ragefire is contributing to their AOE.
The final portion of the Capstone is more then it appears. Each time a Demon Surge happens there is a buff that the next Demon Surge is 10% more powerful. At this time Demon Surge buff does reset going from Demonic to Metamorphosis not sure if that is intended but that's how it is working right now.
I'd say currently you usually try to sigil of flame before meta since it's a gcd and meta doesn't increase it's damage and you want to start the fury gain before meta.
Im not a DH enjoyer and in fact really dont like them at all, but its wild to me that DHs dont have a gigaeyebeam tree with how much people I know that have played DH love that ability.
One of the confusing aspects of this will be seeing multiple names for empowered abilities in damage breakdowns. We already have blade dance and chaos strike becoming death sweep and annihilation. Now we are going to have to math out differently scaling abilities and pore over details breakdowns even further -.-
The max fury increase actually matters quite a bit if you are using pursuit of angryness... which, admittedly, will probably only be in some pvp contexts.
Who knows, we could always have another Vigilant Guardian raid mechanic of "someone grab that item and run to the other side of the room" but this time there's ticking damage while you hold it or something.
That's because they always intended for evoker to have 3 specs from the start. At some point in development they decided, whether because the aug dev was behind or because they thought it would be cool, to keep aug a secret until partway through the expansion. Though i do agree they should have seen how a lot DHs would react to that and should add a 3rd spec.
Havoc with 5% magic dr, now also 5 %stagger and also more leech also blizz plans to prune degensives on other classes. Guess what, havoc is gonna be meta as usual.
in 20 Keys, everything is meta. And there wasnt a true havoc meta, that was played in the highest Keys for ages. S3, was more dominated by other classes. (for sure at the end, where they outscalled dh), S1, was havoc getting gutted. Wo dont talk about shadowlands. And in BFA S4, they had some primetime, but even there, the Godcomp was something else.

Wow after seeing this hero tree they need to go back to every tank tree and buff them. Dh is already the best why give them this one? I hope there’s some changes for tanks coming up.
This tree is okay but it feels like there’s hardly anything you’ll be thinking about except maybe taking advantage of sigil of flames resets and standing in your sigil, whereas Aldrachi reaver at least makes you think about what order to press your empowered abilities in your burst windows. Tl;dr: seems very passive
I still feel both trees arnt designed around no mover since that's all about demonform uptime and so we get a lot less from glaive/out-of-meta nodes which are the bulk of nodes in both trees. While fel scarred thematically seems better it still feels VERY uninspired and pretty boring. I do like having pretty much all abilities empowered in demon form but the surge part is lame and the out-of-meta stuff is too since the alternative was more meta uptime/stronger meta(could be a choice node for these to appease both burst/sustain playstyles)

I hate every ounce of this. It’s complete garbage. Almost all passives. Zero meaningful flavor change to gameplay. “Pursuit of Angryness” is the stupidest, most glaring “we ran out of ideas” name for anything I’ve ever seen. Even he can’t take it seriously while he reads this. RIP DH next expac. Time to find a new main.
