It’s a shame that the media is still very sexist and not giving female artists the respect they deserve. I have to stop myself because I can rant about this all day. Mariah is a vocal genius. Each of her songs were hard to sing, and she really put efforts in producing it. She’s an ICONIC artist! Such a legend, im so glad I was able to witness her reign.
Amy Winehouse what a tragic loss. She has such a classic sound that reminds me of the 1960s doo wop era. She's like a combination of Ronnie Spector and Dinah Washington. Mariah Carey is a mood lol love her

She also likes to play innocent and make Mariah out like she's crazy for not "knowing her" when she know her shit stink and that they got beef lol.
She did sing a lot of gospel, her whole life. I'm pretty sure she went to church every Sunday if not more. Her label however needed to use her voice to sell to bigger audiences. I would have loved a gospel album from her though, and Mariah as well.
Minnie Riperton's whistle notes were so clear and loud. 😳 Good to confirm that she was Mariah's inspiration. Also hearing that Adele was inspired by Etta James and Lauren Hill was sweet. Proves that the music you're exposed to a a child (and get to practise over and over for years) will eventually shape your singing, unless you intentionally try out new styles (like Lady Gaga did with jazz) or go for actual training later on. Every artist has influences from people of different backgrounds and races.

I remember in one of your earlier videos that was about 20 minutes, you commented that you had to cut some clips out, because you didn't want to make the video long, but honestly, your longer videos are my favorite! Demi's got the voice she just needs to find her own sound, train her vocals and get great producers. Nicole Scherzinger has so much potential to make it really big if only she had a great team, marketing and music production.

tori definitely got her riffs and runs from her gospel roots but her overall style is greatly influenced by india arie who she said changed the game for her bc india showed her it was possible to sing soulfully/r&b AND play guitar, especially at a time when there were hardly any other female artists doing that. tori got inspired to get better at guitar as a teen and considers her guitar playing as part of her singing and i think that’s just super cool 🥺
Idk why singing in the American accent is so aesthetically pleasing to hear. Jessie J, Leona Lewis and Adele are English and all do that. Like Adele sang in an English Accent for most of 19 and then 21 came and she switched.
It’s so funny that all these styles are taken, “inspired,” by black artists who originally forged genres like; jazz, blues, rn, pop, rock, everything ! No, white ppl it wasn’t a collaborative effort. Ella Fitzgerald, Hanes brien, chuck berry, Diana Ross . Etc. However, they never mention any black musicians as influences. That is cultural racism. I’ve spoken to so many white and non black POC who have no idea how Black Americans contributed to vocals and music. I’m not upset nor do I expect any less of white ppl. As a vocalist who enjoy videos like this I just find it distasteful. Idk, just random thoughts. I appreciate it music, but none of their vocals impress me anyways.
Im sorry almost all of them give credits to black artists that they took inspiration from. Ive watched tons and tons of itv recently they Always mention etta, Aretha, Janet, Tina, brandy, Lauryn, ella etc. But thats not what médias like to put a spotlight on 🤷🏼♀️ they hate giving black ppl credits

I don’t listen to a lot of white artist so I can’t say, I can only speak on this video & from what I see in general media, black artists don’t get credit. Mainly because white ppl keep our music separate on different charts and radio stations. It’s apart of cultural segregation to the point you don’t know where the music came from, that was my main point. It was just a thought, I don’t think they even notice it, but I do.

You can really notice how Christina inspired Demi's music: the very chesty belts, the powerful dynamic, meaningful lyrics. I love both of them and their collab Fall In Line was just impeccable!

Thats not the worst thing in the world but still is upsetting. I mean some vocals vidéos(especially compilations ones) are made by "Big compagnies" but for Channel like mxlambily, yonce&mimi etc and me we are just spending TIME to create some concept and (most of) youtubers who download out vidéos act like WE do not exist. They dont even mention the name of the Channel. Some of them at least play the intro and thats nice
