@@vinniethebee479 Not so long ago, A 21Yr old guy gave a love letter to his crush(apparently his college mate) while she was waiting for bus at a bus station in Hyderabad. She screamed for reasons unknown, people gathered, beaten him up and handed him over to the police. Now, what did the police do? They were on some high ever since Disha incident happened so, they didn't file an FIR but kept him in the station for whole day. His parents came to know about the incident, they came to the scene and without knowing what has actually happened, they started beating him in the police station. Then some Head constable came and asked him about what happened. He said i don't want to talk to anyone and asked the constable to lodge whatever the complaint they could but before lodging, the complaint, enquire the girl if he had harassed her earlier. The police called her up and she came with her brothers, her family members, etc who obviously threw all the curse words one could think of, on the guy. The girl when asked about what had happened, said she got nervous at that time and didn't know what to do so, screamed but never imagined that could land him and her both into trouble. The letter he wrote contained no abusive words, no hatred but amateurish "You are my heartbeat, my moon" kind of shit. Police released him after some counselling. Guys family had to shift to some other place. All this because of WHAT? A silly letter. one thing i realized after the incident was Indians is so hypocritical in the sense that we overvalue female gender and completely neglect the role of MEN as if they don't have a say at all. See, taking the lead in relationship matters has majorly been the assigned to men. I have never seen a woman proposing her love to a guy in India, or at least in Hyderabad. So, what i mean to say is Not all humans are men, not all men are monsters. A society either should be an open and free society where things like prostitution, menstruation, sex education etc are openly discussed or society should be a close one like middle eastern countries where there are some things allowed and some are tabooed. Unfortunately, India is an exception and that's why it's hypocritic.
@@deltaforce7290 i am really sorry for what happened to this boy, without any excuse what happened was wrong and this is the reason this unjustified police brutality and lack of justice is the reason many people including women(albiet few) opposed the encounter killing of rapists in disha case. This was not harrassment, this is the mental problem of society, you are quite right in this, that society is responsible for not spreading consent awareness and sex education. There is one more story in this context though, boy tried to propose or flirt, girl said no , first politely then angrily aggressively, boy couldn't take no, he threw acid on her, this is more or less the story of almost all the acid attack survivors. Why couldn't he take no, well the most suitable answer is toxic society or family upbringing who never taught that boy to take a simple NO! What happened to that boy in your story and no doubt happens to many boys accross this country is wrong as wrong as what happened to every girl who suffered rape and acid and any kind of sexual assault. But please read the statistics, for every false rape case and cases like this there ate around 1000 cases of rape and sexual assault. That is not to say that those false rape cases are justified no they are equally condemnable.
Actually yes, bollywood have filled some pretty fucked up things into our heads. Not only About love and relationships but about a lot of other stuff too. The kind of movies that earn crores in our country are the one's that are cheapest in terms of content. And the guy delta force is also right because people ARE biased. I have seen this everywhere, like literally everywhere. Girls are always treated better be it anywhere hospital, bank , office, bus stand, railway platform, police station, school , college ,even on the road. For a girl they'll say " madam sambhal ke" And to a boy " abe andha hai kya" You can see it yourself go to a police chauki and ask for directions and then send your guy friend to do the same and see the change in their language.

To be honest who are women to define what is masculinity or not?? Will these women give the authority to the men to define feminity?? No,they won't . They will cry sexism and misogyny. Why should young men strive to be the man women want him to be?? Why can't he be the man he want himself to be?? Doesn't he have any individuality or a functional brain or self respect??? Why should pander to someone else desire?? Why should he lick someone else heel?? He is a free human being in a free society like everybody else. Why can't women be given the same punishment for same crime??? With equal right there comes equal responsibility. They will take all the benefit of the society and won't take any responsibility,why is that even allowed?? Why men should pay child support alimony and lost his everything for a divorce??? Why should a man's career be brought down with bunch of evidenceless accusations?? Why isn't any due process in judicious system??? Why is there quota system preserved for women??? -Yeah,cause women are saint. They can do no wrong. Lets put them in pedastral and make them a moral authority over everyone else. Dictate the laws and system according to their entitlements and convenience.

They are trying to say that men are people too and that they have a right to cry(coz thats the first thing people tell a crying boy) and that they dont need to define themselves with society's defintion of masculinty. Anyone who commits a crime should face the consequences. Feminity is about wanting to see every person as a human being and treating them like one. Its not "women are superior to men" or "women can do whatever they want".
