One thing Trump or rather the mandate has managed to do was to make comedians(Colbert, Mayers, Bee, Oliver, Noah...) look like such sour losers. Very few comedians can actually make their material on this elections funny. The same fkin jokes over and over again for a over a year. And I don't get why Obama is being portrayed as a good president by the media. I'll give you some points which needs some attention. 1. Dude not only continued Bush's war he expanded them(bombing 7 countries right now). 2. You can say the economy is better but all of the growth went to the top 5%. Seriously if your GDP grows and 95% of your population does not benefit from it, there is something wrong with your policies. Just shows what a neo-liberal corporate owned hack Obama is. His support for TPP shows this too. 3. He used the DEA to crack down on marijuana dispensaries where medical marijuana is legal. Put a staunch right winger as the head DEA. Spent twice the amount what Bush had spent to enforce drug laws when most people already know that war on drugs has been a massive failure. 4. He has cracked down on whistleblowers and used the espionage act more than all of the previous presidents combined. You think what happened to Snowden and Manning is alright? On top of that he expanded the disastrous Patriot act. 5. His silence over the Dakota Access pipeline protests is messed up. Give Obama credit where its due. He is a very good stand up comic with timing way better than Daniel Fernandes. A demagogue like Trump but a way way more refined version. However despite all his flaws I would gladly take him over Trump or any other establishment republican.
Sritanshu Sinha I remember that white house dinner where Obama was making fun of Fox and other media channels. He also made fun of Trump. I think that triggered Trump to run for president. But as you said Obama has a great sense of humour and great timing. In one of his white house dinner stand up he came up with bucket list ideas(actually fuck it list). It was really funny.
I hate Hillary and I can't tell you how glad I am that she lost. She is everything that is wrong with politics and am pretty sure(listening to her rhetoric) that she was going to start WW3. Slap in the face of the corrupt establishment and a warning to the establishment in the rest of the world. But Divya what makes me sad is that the anti-establishment vote came in the form of Trump and not in the form of Bernie(I blame that shit Hillary and the DNC too.) I am keeping an open mind to Trump unlike most people. But looking at his cabinet pick I don't think there is any reason to believe that Clinton could have done any worse. In my opinion some of the worst human beings on earth are there. See that's the thing Divya corporations and special interest lobbyists own the American system to a degree much higher than they here in India(we are getting there) and there is very little policy change that will happen. Hey, I had a quick question. I don't mean to come across as rude, just curious. Why are your live shows above 21 years? Any particular reason? I missed one of your shows sometime back because well, I'm 17. If it's about the joke-maturity or whatever, couldn't it be 18 instead of 21? Pretty sure there's nothing these days that a 21 year old knows that a 18 year old doesn't. At least, joke wise. And 18 is reasonable as a limit. I think. Anyway. Could you tell me why its 21?
