basically because humans question and scrutinize everything instead of just having fun. too risk averse to just enjoy the moment, instead we review the lyrics in everything and screen artists attire to make sure nothing offends.
Sadly British radio only plays Bon Jovi from this era. Give me this anytime though. Lorraine Lewis was one of the most entertaining of the lot no question.
@ShadowAngel you clearly haven't a clue about feminists at all. The majority of feminists are sex work supporters. #metoo was women detailing their experiences of sexual harassment and rape and it exposed many men abusing their powerful positions for forced sexual gratification. I'm sure you prefer the days when the casting couch was a secret but it's not anymore. Get over it. Also Vixen came around at exactly the same time and achieved platinum. Funnily enough Lorraine is now that band's singer.
Hot lead singer, with killer pipes. And she could dance, too. Femme Fatale should have been much bigger. Sadly, they were ultimately under-appreciated, and under-rated.
@@NerickovaNoha 1988 wasn't too late to make it huge as glam act as Warrant showed (sadly, Warrant was so much better and so much more than crappy Cherrie Pie) they were simply not properly pushed by their label (a fate similar to countless other bands at the time, like Spread Eagle, Wildside and many others)

@@rocklikeabeast200 i always loved the 80's attitude of swedish bands, sweden seems to be an 80's rock/metal nation ahah but there is something i will never understand, Sweden... a viking's country, so many sexy girls(i love blonde girls), the rock/metal sound...why did they take some many muslims? That was a mistake, but we are out topic now eheh just my opinion
When I spend my last days at a Nursing Home I'm taking all my 80's Metal CDs with me. Nursing staff will ask, "What The Hell Kind Of Music Are You Listening To?" I'll say, "I Can't Hear You!".
It's Rockin Codgers Tuesday !! Report to the Dayroom for Wheelchair MOSHPITs !!! -> I'm fucking there !!! . . . and for our elevator music - check out our beautiful Russian piano GODDESS !!! GAMAZDA ! Her selections tonight include Fear of the Dark , Fade to Black and Comfortably Numb ! ( solo piano - I SHIT YOU NOT !! ) FUCK ME !! :)
I like the "hair/Glam" Metal because of its attitude toward life, that attitude of kicking the ass to problems, and not complaining and reneging on it, as they do in other genres.
I prefer the '90s... cryin' like a baby for every little problem, dressin' bad, watchin' sad movies and listenin' to sad music and when a big problem arrives there's always a shotgun to act like a coward.
Ya I miss the don't give a f...ck attitude of that era I miss safe drugs and unprotected sex without having to worry about getting AIDS I miss being 18 when the same song came I loved femme fatale back in the day this was a great band along with warlocks Dora heart in the seventies not so much in the 80s there was a couple girls here they really prove that women could Rock along with of course Lita Ford from The runaways Joan Jett from The runawaysand not only could they Rock they were a lot of fun to look at 🤘🤘
@@bleedinidiot That's one of the clue to understand that everythin' that was told in the '90s were only blatant lies. In the '90s: "You know what? After 10 years of positive attitude in life we need a change that's why we support Grunge" 2020: "We don't need a change after 30 years of infinite sadness" Lies Lies Lies. The '70s were our spring, the '80s were our summer then we skipped fall and we're in a neverending winter since the '90s. The '70s were our childhood, the '80s were our adolescence, then we skipped the adult life ad we're living a sad, desperate and decrepit old age since the '90s. The only thing that's changed is that since the year 2000 there are more and more people that are missin' the '80s, some '80s bands are returned too but it's too late. You killed the innocent son and there's no way he can return from the dead, your heart and your hands are covered in blood.
I turned 60 two days ago and this seems like yesterday. Headbangers Ball & a case of beer with my neighbor. Going to every concert in No. Ca, some I remember, others not so good. Music is life.
Red Rocks Maiden Fear of the Dark , KISS Hot in the Shade - the lasers off the sphynix eyes were blinding us !! of course with a 1/2 gallon of Rich and Rare involved who the fuck knows !!! haha
Nothing better than 80's rock.. Girl bands then were better than guys bands now.. Lorraine's voice is great and body to match. Now she is lead singer for another great ladies band.. Vixen.. Was so lucky to grow up with 80's early 90's rock when music was real.. I was her age when this came out.. Love ya Lorraine!!!
@@lorrainelewis9 l’ll readily admit that you were “fantasy material” back then (I was 16 when this song came out), but at the same time the reality is that this song and others stuck with me because you really were (and are) a skilled singer. I’m happy you’re still performing. All the best…
@@nathanpeacock7897 I think she should sing with them in 80's - the band would be much better, because she have powerful voice, and of course the look ;-)
Amen to that. I was an 80's kid & it was the best & wish I could get a Delorian & go back to the 80's & get away from the world of today which absolutely sucks.🤘👍
hot women that were hot without having to throw themselves at the public. and real singers, real talent that had to work and work and endure so many rejections and knock backs before their big break, not just appear on a tv show.
Saw Lorraine Lewis last week on Kisskruise 11 in Vixen. They played very well and sound great. Hope they get more attention. Lorraine still rocks!! 🤘🤘👍👍👏
Check out the new hairbands of today like Crazy Lixx, H.e.a.t, Confess, Crashdiet, Lipz, Maverick, Bloody Heels, Temple Balls, Shiraze Lane, who are carrying the 80's Rock music into today.
@@juliereminiec4937 No they are all male but Check Out these Bands where most are female fronted: Chez Kane, Vanity Blvd, Liv Sin, Sister Sin, Adrenaline Rush, StrongHeart, Diemonds, Janet Gardner, Issa, Infinite and Divine, Doro, Crucified Barbara, Hairy Groupies & Thundermother.
@@juliereminiec4937 if ur looking for all female metal band you can check lovebites from Japan..they sing in English too but with thick accent..i love lovebites, they play various genres of metal..
This is it! Just kickass dont give a f*ck attitude and going wild, being free! I am born in 1990, but this here is real music. I started playing the guitar one year ago, cause I am a big Judas Priest fan and really wanted to play along to their songs. Who cares if times have changed, I am a rocker at heart till I die!
There was just so much talent in the 1980's and early 90's in the glam/hard rock/heavy metal genres. It's almost impossible to name all the bands. Why did it all go away?
I wish it had stayed around longer also. There is a youtuber on here with the page name of billyyousocrazy I am trying to convince him to listen and react to more 80s metal. He has done a couple songs but hasn't even begun to scratch the surface. I imagine when he does he will be hooked and want to listen to even more.
@@lorrainelewis9 Oh my goodness you replied! Thank you so much. Wasn’t expecting that but it’s made my day. Just love “Waiting for the big one” but “Falling in and out” blows me away. Love your vocals and style. The fact that you’re still the hottest rocker ever doesn’t hurt either. This is the music I loved back then and still do now. Keep on rockin babe!❤️
Hey, something to thank the age of RU-vid for. I had the Femme Fatale album and 12" single (with poster), but rock wasn't mainstream enough in the UK for the video to be shown on TV, so I never saw more than about 10 seconds of this. Hole in my life filled after 32 years. Good to see LL's high energy stage performance reputation was true too.
All that jumping around makes that hair fly all over the place; give me 80s hair metal bands any day. Rock on!!!!! If only I had a time machine, it's back to the 80s for me. Again, rock on!!!!! And BTW, go the girls; holy shit!
