I would have gone with the wood corner posts as well. It may be a wash cost-wise with the PVC, but aesthetically these have a look of permanence and the color contrast is majestic. Moses is the MAN! Great teacher, leader, demonstrator, and all around 'good guy'. Congratz on the workshop all of you!

I to have an electric fencing with the pos, neg,pos, neg configuration but I also ground the neg to copper rod. Even in the dry desert of Arizona the Electrical current is still able to complete the circuit. So you can get shock by just touching the positive wire or touching the positive and negative wire as back up. No more 🐄 👍🏼

Wow, there is a lot more to putting up electric wire than I would have imagined, but Moses made it look like a walk in the park, he's a very smart man and shares tricks of the trade. I haven't worked with my hands in over 10 years, after doing that for a day or afternoon they'd look like shredded chicken! What ya'll have gotten done looks super nice and looks like you had a great crowd to go along with the learning curve....that makes it that much more fun when others join in.

You guys are so lucky. Several times it took a whole day to dig one posthole where we live in the ozarks. And you can forget driving plastic posts anywhere. That wouldn't be an option 😬 👍 good job on your fence 👍

Years ago I "won" an argument with my Dad (now deceased) about installing the insulators on corners. I did it like you have it and he tried to tell me that the wires should "cross" each other at the two holes so that they form a loop between that wires instead of just the insulator holding the wire. In other words the wire should go through the insulator hole furthest from the direction of pull. I am in the process of replacing all of the insulators that were done because of my 'winning' argument. Your insulators will hold for a long time but you will end up redoing them eventually. Best corners I've ever used for high tensil wire, especially since materials were free, are 3' diameter gabions. No corner building, digging, post buying. Lasts for centuries.

A great video guys & yes we in New Zealand do have these types of fences all over the place because fencing over years have become much much cheaper this way & they last longer. Bearing in mind that these types of wires can be very dangerous if they are used at a high tension/tightness can fling back & hurt you. Keep these rolling fella's.
