Fender did an awesome job on this 1954 Reissue! I'm usually not impressed easy these days by guitars, but this one is magic! Gets my seal of approval! I go through a detailed look at all of the special case candy you get with this one.

Mine did the exact same thing in the case when I got it from sweetwater. It actually left a few scuffs on the top side that thankfully buffed out.

Im not impressed with Sweetwater much, I prefer CME they are fantastic, but I just got a 61 strat I think I should have got this one. I like a chunky neck, and I play strats thumb over a lot. Im watching for an honest review first look. And how the neck feels.

Neck is definitely chunky for a Strat. Now that I've had it a few months, It's probably my favorite Strat out of the three I own. Sweetwater has always been solid by me, once got shipped a Jackson USA that fret sprouted badly, they pulled another one, checked it out and, overnighted it to me. All without sending the old one back first. They even gave me two weeks to ship the old one back.

@@synonyx They are good about that, I just had one I sent back they sent the new one to inspect, before I sent to bad one back. But to be fair, it never should have passed the 55 point inspection to begin with. Thats where I wasn’t impressed. CME however, really impresses me, if I just dont dig the guitar, no questions asked, I get a return label. But never had a bad one with a bad set up. They take good care of ya too. So they get a thumbs up from me. Thank you for the info on the neck. I dont live in the city so I cant test them out. So I am glad I asked. Sounds like it could be a good fit for me. Have a good weekend man.

@@simonsmith2642 You have a great weekend as well! I think in my case, due to them doing the inspection upon arrival and not a secondary one before it leaves is the issue. But, Jackson may have improperly dried the wood too. I know with CME and other guitars shops, they inspect on arrival and before it goes out the door, which gives smaller shops an advantage too. Typically anything higher-end, I will buy at smaller dealers such as Rainbow Guitars, Eddie's or Wild West because they won't let a guitar leave without a setup/inspection. Plus those shops don't charge tax.

Enjoyed the video , I had a question about the weight ? I heard about them being mid 8 but I just got one from Zzounds that is 6.12 it also has a serial #V700254 , any idea how many they are making.

Mine was 8lbs 6oz - Crazy to hear you got one that lightweight. I don't think they've put a number on how many they are making, but their will be an order cutoff towards of the end of the year I am hearing. So we should be able to get them the rest of the year for sure.

6.12 lbs? That is extremely light. Even for a non-trem model. I've been shopping the internet for one of these looking for a light one. Most have been 8 lbs or more. Congrats! You got lucky!
