I bought this tuner at Guitar Center, but it's ten dollars cheaper online! This is the Fender Flash Tuner. You can recharge it and it's easy to use, bright, and works great as I demonstrate in this video. This product was NOT provided to me - I bought it. I should have pointed out in the video - the button on the left displays the letter of the instrument you're using. Just select "G" for "guitar."

...cello...? Otherwise : guitar ,bass, violin, ukele, banjo, all of which is beside the pointif u know the tuning of yer axe. A Snark, among others, just shows you the notes u want. Same with the open tunings the Flash offers.

just got one as a gift and couldn't work out the open button until I later found out it only applies in guitar mode and neigh not a skerrick of info on it in the manual , thought it was broken lol

I just bought it for my Bass. The flat settings work in guitar mode, but not Bass. It would be nice if GC wasn't an hour away. Yeah, and it's ten bucks cheaper online. Anyone else have trouble with the flat Bass?

I have same issue. Want use Bass mode with flat settings which is written in Manual. It DOES NOT WORK. I bought 2 of them both does not work and returned. So disappointed....

I thought this video was supposed to tell me how to use this tuner for my acoustic guitar??? Do I just need to set it on G and do nothing with the Mode setting? What are all of the open settings? G/D/E??? I’m new to this.

You might say how the display works ie only tune to the centre. Because when I first switched mine on I had a rainbow and no idea what that meant. And what the modes are. And that there is no 'guitar' mode only C. Maybe mine is different to yours. Pls don't complain about other tuners. It's confusing. The sheet you crumpled is safety info, not operation info. I did find the manual in the box I bought today, glued to the side, written in the tiny font you noticed.

@Kurikitakati You toggle the off/on button to C (for chromatic) then dial your strings in at peak/blue (Thats a half step down while it displays Eb ,for example).... sucks that Fender wont mention it, there's nothing online as far as directions, nor in the directions that nobody can read. What " Mode " does is anybody's guess. also, to intonate - Go to "C" for chromatic. I'm guessing that C means Chromatic......Again, Fender is no help.

Yeah, he left off the basics! I got one and there is no manual at all. I just used a Snark and compared the two to work out how this one worked.

Does anyone knows what's the purpose of the "Open Button"? In the manual it says: "When the tuner is in a Guitar mode, short press this button to switch between the open and flat tuning modes: open G, open E, or half step flat (b) and whole step flap (bb)." I think it's even misspelled "flap". Not sure what the purpose of those modes.

I'm not sure, but normally when someone talks about open G tuning, they mean all 6 strings are tuned to the notes in a G major chord. That'd be my best guess.

Nope. You can't open the unit up, and if you could, it's not designed for a battery swap. I mean, some techie nerd somewhere might be able to do surgery on it, but it'd hardly be worth the effort.

Go to the C setting which is chromatic, or find the chromatic setting.

I love how he is surprised of a plastic container… did you expect a metal one? Also why would usb for charging be a problem? You dont charge those things with “apple products” but with any block you can find.🤷‍♂️

It's just what apple fans do, complain whenever a product uses USB even though USB is the standard on 99% of the market. I just tease, don't take me too seriously.
