In this video we take a look at the Fender Redondo acoustic electric guitar. This beautiful guitar has a great look with a Stratocaster style neck that has a satin finish. It has a nice Fishmann preamp and pickup to bring out the nice tones that this guitar has.

I have a guild 12 string and a Martin D28 six string. I also have a 1981 Gibson Humming Bird. I love them all, but I ordered one of these Fender Redondo guitars for like $400.00 on line. My hummingbird has a richer tone, my Martin has a much deeper base response. Still, I’m embarrassed to say, I prefer the Redondo to all of them. It just cuts well in a mix, and the neck and action are so fast right out of the box. The world is officially upside down. Every Fender acoustic I ever played was straight trash. This is a game changer

I believe in the video, you stated that the back and sides are solid mahogany, but I’m pretty sure you’ll find that that’s laminated, however, the top is solid.

The player has laminated back and sides, with a solid top. The classic has all solid. I played both. I went with the player because I found the tone to be a bit more punchy and crisp. This was the sound I was looking for. I have plenty of warm guitars with solid Brazilian rosewood backs and sides. With this guitar, I was actually looking for something well balanced that could cut well in a mix. I also wanted a super fast neck. This guitar fit the bill perfecly

Just for clarification. Back and sides are laminate. Top is solid. Solid sides are not available on player models. None the less, the tone comes mostly from the top, and the guitar is amazing

I don't understand why so many people hate this guitar, it seems wonderful to me. Do you know why so many people think Fender electroacoustic guitars are bad?

I own one. I love the neck and plugged in it’s amazing. It just isn’t very loud unplugged compared to my Yamaha and Orangewood

@@jedijudoka I am trying to decide between a fender rendondo and a morgan mahogany live orangewood. What one do you think is better? Just asking because you said you also own a orangewood

@@pandemic9205 in my opinion the orange wood will be louder and project better acoustically. They’re amazing guitars. Redonda has incredible electronics but lacks when unplugged I feel.

This would just require taping the old one out with a small hammer and punch. The one that comes stock on this is great and is a Graphtech nut which is already upgraded.
