The Ending is absolute perfection. They way it hangs... so uncomfortably. It leaves your ear clawing for the next word... a word that doesn’t come. It’s the equivalent of the songs lament. An unfulfilled auditory desire to match the unfulfilled desire of her heart. Absolute Love drowned in Hunger & Regret
God this song is so sad yet I cannot stop listening to it. It's clearly a story about a person who lost his/her loved one and misses them so much. It's so painful and powerful. I've actually got a tear rolling down my cheek
I'm haunted by this song, it's like a terrible yet somehow still so beautiful fairy tale. Images of Red Riding Hood only instead of a wolf it's a beast. It's so nocturnal like remembering a nightmare only its real. I wonder if the angelic girl she wants to save is her or some one else. The regret, the sadness is palpable. Brilliant song on every level.
+1 for pro choice creating good music! @ least that's the vibe i get from it. her true inspiration for the song could be anything. i applaud her for being fearless about her writing either way. saw her this spring in portland and she was beyond awesome.
I just absolutely ADORE her music and voice.... I can totally relate to her lyrical content... I love how her songs feel like she actually worked on them, instead of just going into the studio and throwing bullshit together for the sake of releasing something... But it's still raw.... Fucking MUCH respect!! >M
Can't get enough live material! Your audio recordings are awesome, but something is missing without the visual...magical! Just for the record, the Cello is a big part of the tapestry.
