Fender Tone Master Pro owners - have you given Preset MIDI a try yet? If you have gear with MIDI ports, you really should check this out - you can send up to 5 MIDI messages just by selecting a preset!
🎉thanks a lot ! TONE X + TMP = ultimate combo ! I have exactly this rig now, midi controlled... i can now have a kraken , mezzabarba, etc in my TMP !! This is awesome !
Sir, thank you so much for all the great videos ... not only extremely substantive and easy to understand ... but also entertaining!! ... great job ... thank you very much!!
cool video!! I have a Singular Sound Midi Maestro that i use to control my Beat Buddy- super easy to program and this opens up some great possibilities!!
Thank you for your video. They are so helpful. Do you think we’ll be able to send midi commands via a block in future? I’d like to control a cloudburst and change settings during a song.
Thanks for watching! Right now you can send up to 5 different MIDI CC messages on a footswitch within a preset. NO PC commands yet on a footswitch within a preset, hopefully they'll add that.
Great job showing use of TMP. I want to sound like Jeff Beck. Stop laughing please. Watch Jeff Beck Live in Tokyo. His sound on Big Block. How many patches would I need to build to sound like that. Also, Steve Vai on Tender Surrender. His gain keeps increasing throughout the song. Can I just add gain to one patch or do I need another patch to get the graduating gain sound. Thirdly watch G3 Live in Denver 2004, with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Ok, Yngwie, I wish, please stop laughing, to sound like him: Adagio and Far Beyond the Sun. Which patches, Marshall? Getting back to Jeff Beck from Blow by Blow, Because We've Ended As Lovers, and Goodbye Pork Pie Hat (Wired). What amps should I use in the TMP? What effects? Thank you. I hope other people want stuff like this too, then it won't be a waste of your time and energy. Don't know how much you laughed at my desperate cry for help.
Thank you! According to this article, he used a Marshall Plexi reissue, a Fender Champ and a Fender Twin Reverb. The rest is in his incredible fingers: www.guitarplayer.com/players/jeff-beck-emotion-and-commotion-2010
hello. If possible, how can I connect the TMP with an iPad so that when I change the song on the TMP, it changes the page on the iPad where the lyrics or sheet music of the song will be. And…, where can I find information about the use and application of Fender MIDI? thanks in advance
I'm not quite sure how to do that, but I am going to be having a guest next month (Nathan Conner) who will be going over a similar situation. You could try contacting him on the FTMP Facebook page if you need that info ASAP. The MIDI info for the TMP is towards the end of the manual; make sure you have the most recent version.
Great video! I’m thinking about getting a TMP.. I’ve got a question - it might be obvious, but I’m wondering could I plug my pedal board chain directly into the main input? (And maybe use the tmp mainly for the amps) Or maybe use certain effects before the tmp and others like wet effects in one of the effects loops?
Yes and no. There's nothing specifically called "song/setlist MIDI", but setlists are made of songs, and songs are made of a grouping of presets. So preset MIDI can be considered song/setlist MIDI, unless you need some special function not covered by Preset MIDI.
Cool episode. Hey seeing you are also a Fractal owner. There is a big debate if the FM3 sounds exactly the same as the FXIII. Lots of opinions, around aliasing but no actual evidence to back those up. Thought it might bring you a-lot of views to do an episode on this.
Can you change songs in the setlist on the Fender Tone Master Pro via MIDI? I can’t seem to find anything in the manual , it can change patches but I can’t seem to remote control the setlist.
I have a voodoo lab ground control pro...Can I control the TMP looper functions with that? Just wondering, I use the TMP on my desktop and was wondering if I can use the GCP as a separate foot controller
Yes, it should work perfectly. If you take a look at the latest TMP manual the MIDI Implementation Chart is on page 41, and there are 8 different CC commands for controlling the Looper. Let me know how it works out for you 👍
Use the program change number to 1-4 fir each amp channel just make sure your midi channel to the amp is set correctly its usually one by default midi out from TMP to midi in on the amp
