Have you ever heard that having a mirror directly across from your front door or entrance is bad Feng Shui?
In today's episode, we're talking about the Feng Shui myth and truth about having a mirror placed directly opposite your front door.
Now, you may have heard that having a mirror directly across from your front door is a Feng Shui no, no. That it pushes the energy right back out the door. And with it, pushes out your money, health, wealth and new opportunities.
Keep in mind, that if the chi or energy is not first able to flow into your home, it won't matter what you do inside the home, because it will have such a small impact due to the lack of chi.
And more than likely, you'll feel tired and constantly exhausted resulting in no energy to actually take action.

thank you Ken. its almost twenty years that i cant position my mirror in front of my door which i always regret it because i only put the table in front of it. its a console table. now im very happy. i will put tem together the console table and mirror in front of my entrance door without feeling guilt of bad feng shui.

I’m so happy I looked this up. ❤ I was reading a book on Feng Shui and it stated to not do this. Also I’ve seen videos on social media reiterating this belief. So of course I’ve started second guessing it. Then I found this video and reminded me of all the blessings my husband and I have received while our mirror was facing the door. When we come back into our home, we look up and see ourselves ❤ thank you again for this video.

I have a mirror across from front door and it needs it! Entrance looks more balanced and welcoming exactly like what you said. I always think negative energy bounces back out the front door because of it. There is a good 5 to 6 feet space from door and open spaces on either side. Lots of room for positive energy to come in.👍

Thanks I watched so many videos saying mirrors at the door were bad luck.. to watch this gave me peace and just an FYI I have an huge metal wooden framed 6-8ft tall mirror at my door which makes my foyer seem huge, i can check my appearance as i walk in and out I love it, plus when my guest come in they’re able to look at themselves ASAP and they always stand there for a while and say wow this is a dope place to have a mirror...it projects self love which I wanted!

Hey Ken, thank you for a such a great advice, I recently did my home and placed a large mirror right in front of my door which i always wanted. and a large mirror in the bedroom in the corner for dressing next to the window. For couple of months i have been facing lot of issues financially, and organizational growth. i have been told by lot of people that i should remove this mirrors and place it elsewhere which will help overcome my problems. with your help I am convinced there's nothing wrong with my mirror placement. Thanks again.

Thank you Ken. I live on the second floor my entrance door is almost in the stairs and as soon as I open my door there is a wall. So I love the idea of hanging a mirror.

Thank you. I put a beautiful rococco framed mirror with a marble carved insert in opposite my front door. In the back of my mind I had this bad feeling that a mirror shouldn't face the door - but it was so beautiful! In the end, I thought I would do a search about it. Glad I found you x

Thanks for this info. I am staging a very large home and placed a stand up mirror in the family room. While it's a distance from the front door, it does face the door and I love how dramatic it looks when entering. I was concerned about it being a negative because of feng shui, so happy you feel as I do.

Thanks, Ken! I'm a fan. In this case, I will try the effect of having the mirror right across my entrance door. I will dispell the myth of having the mirror in front of the entrance door is a piece of bad luck.

Thank you so much for giving me the correct explanation regarding the mirror facing the front door.My Front door is phoenix and i place a 4x6 mirror in the wall .Now that i know it brings good luck to my home then i dont have to cover it anymore .its been bothering me for quite sometimes now .today i can sleep better and have a peace of mind .

my family and i moved into our place 1.8 years ago, and its very tight on space. i placed a mirror opposite the front door to the right (so not directly opposite) i read in feng shui that its a bad thing... but im glad you said, it doesnt necessarily mean its pushing good energy out. because since we put the mirror there our small sitting room seems bigger and brighter and makes myself and my family feel good. im so glad you confirmed it. thank you. ps i didnt really want to move it, i like it there :)

thank you, very down to earth and simple and yet so thoughtful. i felt so bloccked because two parties share one entrance, and you step in and and stand in front of a wall. i had the impulse to put a mirror on that wall, but beacause of it being one of the "dont´s " I didnt. I will now. well, one more example about fixed belief systems. best from germany!

Our house is a modest one that as you open the main entrance door is our living room and about 6 m from it is the wall of one bedroom. On such wall hangs a rectangular shaped mirror. Underneath the mirror is a console cabinet wherein we have family pictures and a floral arrangement. What advice can you suggest to make a good feng shui and good vibes.

Hi Ken, thank you for the info. I am somewhat confused and need your kind advise here. My home is a two floor apartment where all the bedrooms are on the 1st floor. There is an entry door leading to the first floor and this door is facing directly to my master bedroom door. I intend to close this entry door and not use it as an entry/exit to and from this floor as I do have an internal stairway that leads to the first floor as well. So I intend to place a small table against this entry door and have it decorated with something and a table lamp. What do you think of this? Your kind advise is appreciated.

Ken, I have Full Mirrored Closet Doors in my Fame side of my Bedroom which faces my Dresser Mirror in the Career space and door to my bedroom. I felt stuck in inter-dimensions from the mirrors' effect. I ended up putting 2 large black construction boards to cover my Dresser Mirror and a red star over the top of my Mirrored Closet Doors to help with the Fame. I don't know if you have heard of any other clients having similar affects to the mirror reflecting mirror. Should you have any other suggestions on what to do in these placements, I am listening.

This made me feel better about my entry. I do have a brick wall entry. The front door, completely opened, scratches the closet on the opposite wall. I do have a mirror on the opposite wall, and I am reluctant to take it down because the entry way would be too dark. The whole entry is very hard to correct. I also have a mirror opposite the bed because the bedroom is also small, and the mirror matches the dresser. I'm reluctant to remove that too. And the bed is placed so that our feet face the door, but there's no where else to put it.

Hello! I feel relieved because not just long ago we’ve extended our entrance and put a wardrobe with a glass door that face right i front of our door. Since then it always came into my mind about what feng sue say in to it. But truly when you say the opposite veiw of it , i realize how the positive, happy energy given to me everytime i walked in and see myself coming home from work, its feels like im coming home from a long vacation and scents the safeness and comfort and love ❤️. As you have not mentioned the directions in this video it is not possible to find out .Again mirrors reflecting you n the energy around you is actually making you feel idle n if we go out we are so energetic ..One we step in ..So irritable n lazy..It never worked.And i covered the mirror which faces the door in all washrooms as the positive energy is reflected or refracted out..it is drainful

About using a mirror, how about a mirror aligned with the bedroom? A bedroom is adjacent to the bathroom. Now, the mirror in the bathroom directly reflects the bedroom's main door. I read from my feng shui references (before I watched your video) that this is a bad feng shui. I am truly confused.... Thanks!

Hi Ken, my bedroom is located at the end of a long dark hallway. Can I place a full length mirror from the inside of the bedroom facing outward towards the bedroom door to deflect the fast traveling Chi? Would doing so can also block the positive Chi from entering my room/life? I only want to invite positive Chi energy NOT negative ones. Please advise. Thank you!

You are right on target Ken. I feel like I'm in cement and blocked in all my endeavors. Another Feung Shi person said to put up a picture of a waterfall to bring in good luck that didn't work. My house is a split entry home. As soon as you walk in there are stairs going up and stairs going down. Where should I hang a video? We bought this house and have lived here for 2 years. We have never had financial issues until at moved here. HELP!!!!

Hi Shadow, split level homes can be challenging. It can promote conflict, confusion and disruption. Not sure what your question is about hanging something but it would be best to review the entire home with a Feng Shui phone consultation as many challenges may be present as each home has an overall theme.

Near eye, far eye..... But, the hall extends forward straight. There's a cut in nook area with a wall facing as you look down the whole hall.... You can't really look in the mirror - that faces the door entrance, the mirror reflects the wall the door is on. Shoot I got lost with face cut explanation. Urgh.

Understand that it's not one thing or one area but a theme throughout the entire space that tells the story. When you can understand the overall theme that your space is sharing, then you can understand what needs to be addressed or adjusted to improve your opportunities and potential. When people start adding numerous Feng Shui remedies, it usually leads to a feeling of frustration, overwhelm and lack of results. I would recommend that you speak with a Feng Shui consultant to help you understand the overall theme of your space and what it's telling. Then provide you with a clear and simple plan to taking action to achieve real-world results. Keep in mind that although we can try to do it ourselves, we can't see our own blind spots. That is why it is important to gain insight, perspective and a plan.

My sons moving into a loft, thers no walls, the entrance is open to the bedroom area, lots of space but no ideas of how we could make this positive, we really would like some advice, we cant find a Feng Shui expert in this small town in Austria. Help , please.
