I can identify 100 percent with Cooper's mother. My daughter was older, and less than a month from her 31st birthday. A person she was dating suggested they try a substance easy to buy off the street. Yes, the worst day of my life was learning my youngest child was gone. Of course the toxicology report listed fentanyl in her system. Only a very small amount kills.

I'm sorry for what he is having to deal with but it is an emergency and that man has a death wish.He needs immediately to be alone in a and secured with no way to contact anyone and supervised it may sound crazy but save his life.

They aren't doing nothing! How many millions of dollars are spent to get drugs off the street and stopping the drug trade? There are public health programs trying to keep people off drugs and get people off of drugs. However, ultimately, it is up to everyone to stay off the stuff, but it's treated so casually. Hey, let's party! Pot is benign. Here, have a drink. Kids just want to experiment.... How many people have to die, or have their lives ruined? Look at those three guys in KC after the football game. Enough!

Right there with you brother. I was 16 in ‘87 and the greatest danger was drinking and driving. While still very dangerous, and I know classmates who were killed doing so, it isn’t the almost guaranteed death sentence for a bad decision that fentanyl brings. I’d probably be dead too…

I also was young and partying in the 80s. Definitely would prolly be dead, even though never took a pill during that time. Put did a little coke. Fortunately never did a lot and never was addicted and fortunately there was no such thing as fentanyl!

I also was at my local hospital talking with my nurse she said it's a common thing now for someone to pull up at the ER doors and put the person at the door and they take off, one would think that kind of behavior would be very public but no it's not, rip Cooper my condolences to his family and real friends

You are so right. That is why the parents are making these videos to bring awareness. There is no national campaign there is no national education curriculum for warning about fentanyl. No one knows why. It comes from China (CCP) through Mexico. They are killing our kids on purpose. These are not bad parents, we are being attacked from a foreign govt. our children’s curiosity and naïveté are killing them. My son was extremely independent and smart. Thought he could do anything. But this stuff caught him in a spiders web. I knew it was bad when he said he dreamed of it. I can’t even imagine being controlled by a substance. We are living in a horrible time

I suspect some districts resist addressing the topic out of fear of a backlast from some parents. Imagine the diverse range of parental attitudes and preconceived notions that school districts deal with daily.

Weed, or cannabis is one of the safest uses of medication that people can use in 2024, pills, or painkillers are DEADLY, anything is cut or laced, and as long as you have good contacts, you shouldn’t have to worry about anytiing

not a weed user anymore but it is absolutely unheard of for people to lace marijuana with fentanyl or really anything for that matter. Pills are the real danger however when in an illegal state I guess you can't trust anything.

There is such thing as recreational drugs, it’s just that recently there is an epidemic created by the illegal status and criminalization of said recreational drug use, creating a black market of adulterated drugs advertised as safe by illegal drug dealers… it’s very very very simple , give people a means to purchase safe, non adulterated drugs, and educate young people about the effects of drug use, the meaning of addiction, and what having a better relationship and your community can do to prevent addiction. All these heart wrenching stories are published and nobody is doing anything, it’s like “here look at these people dying preventable deaths” and nobody does anything about it. Alcohol and cigarettes kill people every day and very much legal and non adulterated. This woman stated her sons drug tests after being caught with marijuana lead him to use synthetic marijuana which ultimately opened the door to hard drugs and it killed him.. maybe if he could have just used marijuana as much as he wanted, it wouldn’t have gotten as bad, but y’all old farts who think you know something, only push your children over the edge by not educating them. I don’t smoke marijuana, but I would smoke it with my son if they were interested. I would show them how to use which drugs and still live a somewhat functional life, instead of demonizing the drug use, and letting them die figuring it out themselves, because you’re totally wrong, there are recreational drugs, and most teenagers experiment with them.

Fentanyl laced weed? Doesn’t exist. Nobody is gonna give you more expensive drugs for free. Even if they did pretty sure you’d see the powder. I wish people would stop saying weed is being laced with fentanyl it just shows you have no knowledge of drugs and you should not speak on it

It is absolutely being ignored. There was so much massive profit made from the COVID situation and allowed massive control for both the government and the private sector. I feel like part of the reason they are ignoring this is because they can't monetize it and/or have control in the same way. Also, COVID affected everyone. People are still foolish enough to think losing someone to Fentanyl "won't happen to me or my family", or that this is a social class issue. This IS an everyone problem, just like COVID. It does not discriminate.

I lost my dear first nephew and first male in our all girl family 8-5-2017 in a half way house. He struggled with many demons, many years, he was 36.

I’m sorry for your family’s tragic loss. The “Percocet” that are being trafficked are blue pills laced with fentanyl. Many of the deaths in Texas are attributed to these manufactured Percocets. They’re being pipelined up from Mexico and distributed throughout the US. Truly a horror show. Wiping out a segment of a generation that won’t ever be the productive person the our Creator intended. Spiritual warfare.

The withdrawals play games with your mind and body. I was addicted for 10 yrs and wanted to stop, but the withdrawal was devastating. Once you get the medicine (which works very well), you can begin to refocus on daily life. Your young, so take advantage of that strength.

weed can trigger psychosis in a small population ,even when it isn't "laced" did u have him drug tested to see what else was in it? I experienced psychosis or what has been called a "bad trip" at 13, my mom took me to the hospital thinking it was angel dust or cocaine, nope, straight THC. it was just strong and I react extremely adverse to it. to this day I dont smoke ive tried and every time is absolutely awful. so sorry for your son. I'd seek mental health or psychotherapy

I’m from Louisiana but I have told others about this channel. There’s still a lot of people out here who don’t realize just how often “fentanyl poisoning” is happening to a person who had NO IDEA what they were really getting. It’s shocking!
