She's putting in so much work for the wrong audience. A full on concert? Sure! The morning show? Is that what this is? Wrong time. Wrong place. But it might be a case of the crowd was kind of dead and she didn't know what to do and tried her best to get them pumped.
I feel like that's her brand tbh, like it's gonna be weird and messy but sometimes it's good, other times it's inane and awful but either way it's so crazy you can't look away lol.
Those aren’t cartwheels, those are one handed front walkovers! They might look similar in appearance, but they’re a lotttt harder-& the fact that she continues singing in between-I’m freaking impressed
OMG thank you for this comment! As a former gymnast I always get excited to see performances with some type of gymnastics. It’s usually a round off back handspring, that I see celebs do, which people often call a “back flip” BUT seeing a one handed front walkover on stage while singing being called a cartwheel is just crazy to me. But that’s probably just my inner gymnast talking.
Yes!!!! These are WAY harder, a child with no coach can figure out how to do a cartwheel. Front walkovers require so much more body control and technique. This is hella impressive
I feel like she’s one of so many talents that were mismanaged. She’s an incredible singer, dancer and overall performer. But the material she was given in regards to choreo and even song choice weren’t the best she could do. SOMEBODY DID HER DIRTY!
When I was in 6th grade my school was making a massive pile of twigs and branches for a bon fire like HUGE and I thought it would be impressive if I hurtled over it in front of this boy I liked and I went to leap and I just fell into the twigs and got hurt and tangled in them. And the worst part was I was like hey Kevin! 🙋 And he watched me😩 It seemed so cool in my head at the time.
people always make fun of this but i personally always think of how talented she is to do all that at once and still be able to sound fine she's literally iconic
Fergie used to do that all the time back then in her concerts but this stage was really short to do it and i think that's because she got out of breath

Hey all, I'm just now seeing the requests for me to elaborate on my previous comment. I work as a session musician and producer and have definitely had a few wtf moments. Part of working with artists is being able to finesse major criticism, and I always strive to be honest when possible because people need to know their limitations. However, there have been a few times where I just didn't have the heart to tell an artist the truth and simply kept my mouth shut and finished their project or gig, mostly because I'm getting paid and they don't always heed my advice. The most common wtf encounters are people who write good songs but can't sing them well and won't have another artist record it. Sometimes you deal with some truly tone-deaf people and you spend hours pitch correcting their vocals. A lot of artists have this issue where their songs are edited so heavily in post that they couldn't possibly create a live experience where they sounded as good (Train is definitely one band that comes to mind). At the end of the day, I just focus on doing my best work, hahaha.
This reminds me of the time my bf said some dumb shit in the car singing along to a song, and i apparently thought it was SO FUCKING FUNNY when i was eating my fries that i choked & threw up all over my lap
btw, side note, these are front handsprings, not cartwheels. they require a lot more skill than cartwheels, and the fact that she's doing them with one hand is incredibly impressive

Handstands use the wrist flexor muscles as well as the anterior deltoid, pectoralis major, latissimus dorsi, biceps brachii, and trapezius descendens...TLDR handstands are scientifically more impressive than cartwheels.

I’ve never seen something that made me impressed and not impressed at the same time. All jokes aside, doing cartwheels like that in heels while singing and with one hand is super impressive.
