john....that cinder block / axle stand combo is a disaster waiting to happen...at least you should set the webs vertical with at least one 2x8 pad for the stand....just trying to keep it safe brother
Bill, once you have removed the stud bolts that hold the wheel hub the axle and hub just pull right out. There is nothing in the rear end holding the axle. Thanks for watching.
I am trying to drill through the race with the diamond bit and I am having a hell of a time. What is your secret? I am drilling out a little closer to the hub.
Terry, I'm not sure what to say other than I tried a variety of bits and the diamond did go through. I drilled the cast iron part first with a regular high speed steel then switched to diamond for the bearing cup
I watched the first 2 1/2 minutes. During that time you disassembled several parts but did not show how to do it. You might as well just do still photos of your finished steps rather than a video. Thumbs down.
