Joe here, yep 296 is a stunner, I think it's the best looking mid-engined Ferrari since the 458 Italia. Aggressive but sensuous all at once.

It's interesting that much of the new design language harkens back to Pininfarina, the design house which Ferrari parted ways with 10 or so years ago. 296 references 250 LM; Daytona SP3 leans heavily on the 1968 250 PS concept shown an Geneva in 1968 and also the 330 P4; and the Roma is very much a modern take (for me rather less successful) on the 365 GTB Daytona -- all signature Pininfarina designs. 296 is a beautiful car, I (Joe here!) agree, Ferrari's best since 458, which for me is still the most beautiful Ferrari of the modern age.

@@TheCarCrushI was skeptical when Ferrari and Pininfarina first part ways. However, their recent design language proved me wrong. Apart from the overcomplicated haptic touchscreens and overuse of digital dials, the overall design is spot on. Personally, the perfect modern Ferrari would be the exterior of the 296 and the interior of the F8 or 812. ps. I happen to come across your channel earlier today. I have to say this channel deserves more subscribers. Please keep up with more contents (Ferrari and Porsche are my preferables). I for one will be your regular.

@@19poundpound94 I agree the new UX is a bit of a mess: Ferrari dove in head-first with the screens and haptics rather than a gradual transition, and is paying the price both in terms of functionality and drivers/owners learning curves. The system in the 296 seemed less glitchy than in early Roma however. THANK YOU for subscribing and joining us here. Beautiful car on a beautiful road... I don't think I would spec the Assetto Fiorano, mostly because of the front axel lift. But it's a total yes.

It feels really good in the hand though. Ferrari doesn't use stalks for the indicators, wipers, etc., it puts all those functions on the hub, so it's a kinda busy place. The paddle shifters are mounted to the steering column rather than the wheel, so you're never fumbling to find them mid-corner.
