The Ferrari is no doubt gorgeous and ridiculously fast, but you have to give credit to the GT-R for keeping up with a car that costs over 5 times as much, including upgrades.

So all we get to see is the gtr getting an early start. The rest is up to our imagination -nice!

Guys the ferrari is in a whole different ballpark. You're talking a V12 (yes it weighs more) verses a 6 banger. The GTR gave it a run for its money, but I would bet anything that the GTR would be left in the dust in a mile race. But hey, $100k for a brand new GTR is a way better deal than a ferrari that costs well over a million. I rather have the GTR, buy a house, and put $750,000 in the bank hahaha

People here a stupid to think that the Laferrari is a drag car. Put them both on a racing track and you will know exactly why its worth 1.7mil.

Even if the ferrari won, it certainly wasn't leaving the gtr that far behind.

The LaFerrari was never meant to be a drag car although in a few of these clips you can see the Ferrari pulling away pretty handily. The Ferrari is a Road course car. It would destroy the GTR on the track.

That GT-R is 100% stock, you can clearly see it, because if it was highly modified as many claim, it would have raped the shit out of the Ferrari. looks like the LaFerrari won, but I'm dissapointed, I expected it to be at least 3 cars ahead by the time it gets to 120 mph, looks like it barely beats a GTR to the 1/4mile.

Just remember: This is drag racing. Put these two on a race track or touge racing, and see how each of them do. I'd bet that the Ferrari would win on the track, and the GTR would beat it on the touge race.

I knew it. Nissan GTR with less than 550 hp and 1800 kg is faster than a Ferrari with 950 hp and 1365 kg. The Nissan people must be gods. They should participate to Formula 1 ! ;))

you can't under estimate the GT-R. It clearly won and is known to be ferarris without trying hard. They are up there in performance and the only reason why its only 100 grand is because its a Nissan. The price has little to do with performance as its top notch. I just saw a race a few weeks of a GT-R (v6) smoking a Ferrari spider (v10) in a drag race competition. It shocked many people. I can't tell you why the GT-R is so fast with only a v6 engine but there's something crazy under that hood thats helping that little v6 create so much power.

The GT-R can bring most cars to shame on the first meters, thanks its advanced AWD system. But as soon the Ferrari have full traction, it's of course far superior in every aspect.

The first race for La Ferrari, the second for the GT-R, and the third... Very difficult to say. But the Gt-R is an amazing car, a beast in drag races. For sure.

This video had too many flaws in it to call it credible. 1. The video was crappy, and who ever was holding the camera needed a stabilizer to keep video looking a little more crisp. 2. This was an American style "Arm Drop" Drag Race that clearly the LaFerrari driver wasn't/isn't used to. (Reason why the LaFerrari couldn't get the jump he needed.) 3. There was no footage at the end that said who won. (We can all speculate the GTR won, because of it's launch, but......?) 4. There was no preview, no spec numbers, no driver info, no nothing. At the end of the day, the GT-R driver proved that he was excellent at reading when the, "Arm Drop" took place. However this video was more of "tease" than a conclusive proof of which car IS actually better in a straight line. DRAGINFO Fellas if you decide to do this again, please have a camera at the start as well as the finish line. I & many more of us car lovers out would love to see a better version of this race.

Now let's line them on a proper circuit and see why they call the almighty Godzilla the king of kings!

Either the Ferrari's driver had bad reaction time, or the GTR driver started too early.

It's great how they show the beginning of the race but no clue as to who wins! And several times over -lest we forget the cars involved!

Obviously, this GTR isn't stock at all (500hp cars just can't keep up with 950hp lighter cars, even in a parallel world). It would be nice to know what mods have been made to this white gtr.

you guys know that these bad ass machines have 'launch control', so there is no such thing as bad driver. Anyway, LaFerrari's looks alone are worth the price difference between these two cars. I myself would prefer the GTR just because its in my price range, 60-100k for that kind of beast is not bad at all. To be honest if I was to put down the kind of money needed to buy a LaFerrari, I would rather get the F40, anyday.

Ferrari, V12, Naturally Aspired, Extremely lightweight in comparison to the GTR with an awesome gearing. RWD GTR, Twin Turbo V6, bit heavy for a super car in my opinion and AWD. Faster production car 0-100mph (Is that still current???) 2 very different machines, both badass. Would like to see this from a roll. Although it still looked like the Ferrari got the GTR base on the curve of the road. Idk

Lesson learned. Purchase an R35 GTR for 150,000 grand and spend another 50,000 something grand or so for MODs and you will be able to beat a 1.3 million dollar car.

GTR starts too early. He may probably needs to justify for spending money upgrades up to 900+hp.

I don't understand, why are some of the comments here implying that the GTR won. I'm looking at the touch shadow underneath the car and the angle of the shadow line in relation to the road and the stock LaFerrari looked to be winning comfortably, despite the jump start of the GTR (or was it a delayed reaction from the Ferrari driver?).

whats the point of comparing normal sport cars with hypercars anyway. hypercars are so much overpriced bcs they sell the brand, look cool and use expensive materials that dosnt impact much on the performances. those cars are good only as posters in a teens room

No matter what you drive,.........you cannot deny the wonderfulness of a GTR,...........just so fast and breaks the laws of physics in terms of hauling a lot of weight quickly (both in a straight line and around a corner).

The reason it was so close is because Ferrari can't use all of its 950 bhp because it would just light the rear tyres and go nowhere. Ferrari is not designed as a 1/4 standing start drag car, but it would power out of a 100 mph Corner so much faster than the GTR once it can get the power down.

This Ferrari will beat a GTR everyday. One cost a small island and one cost a decent house. Long story short in a drag race you can slap two turbos, a new trans, a new rear end, some other small components into a Scion FRS and it will beat the shit out of a Veyron in a drag race. All costing around $60,000

stock vs stock i think with a better driver the laferrari would dominate. although comparing these two cars is amazing in it self a laferrari in the US go's for around 3.5-4 million USD you can buy 20 tuned GTR's that are faster. the only reason to buy the ferrari if you have the cash is simply an investment every person who was selected to buy one has doubled the value of the car some are speculating since this is the first hybrid ferrari it will go for McLaren F1 prices in 15-20 years.
