Nah I dont like to skip and loved this because my ferrets have toys but i dont know what's good or not because they can swallow some toy pieces so i kinda get scared for my ferrets.😋
I'm working on getting two ferrets this year and your channel has been so helpful on educating myself so I'm ready for taking care of them. Thank you for all your hard work on these videos and everything else you do for ferret education. 💜 They've been very helpful.
Moderators! Our friend needs to know that a lot of us genuinely appreciate her guidance... Y’all should collect screen grabs of positive comments to remind her of how much of a difference she has made.. I would have done everything wrong... our ferrets were adopted thanks to her instead of bought at a pet store. Hell I only got two because of what I learned here, we only wanted one.. thanks to her, they free roam, and even have their own bedroom next to ours 😂But most importantly, we are transitioning to raw. None of this was the plan.. our family (now including Peanut and Coconut) is really grateful to have found this channel.
Kelsey Bordeaux probably because they feel guilty for not feeding raw themselves. bryn is the one who convinced me to feed raw or i would still be feeding kibble. but i did try and brush off things she said at first because i knew that feeding kibble wasn’t the best for my ferrets
Kelsey Bordeaux Probably because they’re upset that they can’t do the same. I don’t feed raw but at the same time it doesn’t upset me that I don’t. I find the whole thing very confusing and feel like it’s better for my ferrets and dog to eat kibble until I get a better understanding of how to properly feed raw
I personally love your channel. It's like a diamond among fool's gold. I'm sorry to hear about the negative commentary. Something ppl just need to learn is this is YOUR content, not theirs. If they dont like what you post then like you said, find someone else. I love that you're more open and firm about your beliefs in the care of your ferrets. When the time comes I'll soon be a parent to a lovely pair or trio of carpet sharks. Lol. Thank you for your time and effort in ensuring that we do the best we possibly can in caring for the little fuzzies.
I miss your videos so much, please post more. i get so excited to get the notification that you posed. We love you Brynn stay strong! Your ferret videos are amazing and so educational, thank you so so much for everything. Saving up to buy your merch!
I’m so happy that you made everything for us. You spend so much time doing things to help others with there ferret care. I’m so thankful that I came across your channel. I just want to say thank you so so much. ❤️ I love your channel
Of all ferret you tube channel this is my favorite channel its so authentic and motivate me too do more ferret video content and understand more my ferret 😊
Oh I wanted to recommend friendly neighborhood ferrets on youtube they have similar videos to bryn but they also have some ferret safe crafts and it's interesting to hear someone with really similar veiws to bryn talking about different topics. I'm sorry if it's rude to compare creators I just love both your channels and your helpful advice. Great video btw 😊
Thank you souch for making the kibble chart thing! When/if I get a ferret I would probably have to do kibble for a few months and switch over to raw hopefully. So thanks! Love your channel!!!!!
i really wanted ferrets and i did a lot of research about them and i’m so bummed because i live ferrets so much but i love staying connected with your ferrets over youtube!! much love
i love the videos and i want to learn as much as i can about ferrets so i can maybe get one one day and your videos help me do that so much much love :) ❤️
Yeah I gave my ferrets some toys to play with and tunnels I love tunnels because they have so much fun and its soooooooo cute. I also use cat toys and my ferrets love tunnels alot more then the cat toys but at least they're there. 😂🤣 oh and I am also getting one more ferret so now I'll have 3 yayyyy
Hi, so I love ferrets, and am trying to convince my parents to let me get one, which means I have to ferret proof my room, I have a diffuser for essential oils and sometimes it can get very strong, I know that ferrets do not mix well with essential oils and I was wondering if I shouldn't use the diffuser or make it less strong?
(Mod) Hi, Anaise! Essential oils are indeed toxic for pets in general, especially cats and ferrets, and it’s recommended to avoid products that use them. Most candles, wax melts, household cleaners, etc. use essential oils to scent their products. Just check the ingredients list to make sure they’re safe :)
i love your videos and i hope that you and your pets are doing well during this pandemic 👌😊also can you please tell me if dummies for ferrets is a good book?
I checked out your kibble chart to see if I could do better but the % kinda threw me. I thought fat in ferret food should be 15-20% but on the K9 feline freeze dried foods are over 30% fat. Wouldn’t that be too fattening for a ferret? I also tried a raw diet for my dog but it didn’t agree with his stomach, and he didn’t like the taste. My vet told me he just can’t stomach it and advised some high quality dog foods instead. Never mind 😢
I'm saving up for ferrets with my own money and then I'm going to ask my parents. I'll show them all of my research and my money, and hopefully they'll say yes.
Hey! I know that you totally support and want more people to do raw food but.. I am trying to convince my dad to get me a ferret- I wanted to know if kibble would be ok if i really had to tell him that it’s good for them to eat kibble. Thank you!
kibble is fine for ferrets, just make sure you get a high quality one. i feed ziwipeak and it’s pretty pricey but if you can’t afford good food i don’t recommend a ferret cause them weasels are crazyyyy expensive lol
What i love raw feeding video we need them !! Who els does thoes videos 🤣im not that smart this is almost ur real job no ? Everyone has an opinion and some will alwas hate u at the end of the day , if it matters to you u help people with ur mindset
In my country it is actually recommended to feed kibble because there have been a lot of ferrets that got sick from raw feeding, i believe it had to do with bacterial infections.
(Mod) this usually happens if the meat is sourced poorly or proper sanitation is not followed during meal prep. Cross contamination can happen easily if one is not careful while prepping raw food. Freezing raw food for at least 24 hours can help with this as well!
Yes but no her channel is so good and edguational! Buuuuttttttttt raw is bad for ferret health I visited a vet and turned out it is just as bad for humans as it is for ferrets
Love your content! I think you’re doing an awesome job! I apologize in advance for DMing you so much 🙈 you’re info and inspo to switch to raw is my goal! Thanks for everything and your support! -Sly and Canela 💕
I recently adopted a 5 year old male ferret. All together I’d have three, I’m having trouble with my 3 year old male. He is bullying the 5 year old. He is to rough with the older one he is biting and not letting go. I have to scruff him and even tap his nose till he lets go of the others neck. I NEED ADVICE!!!!
I just got a bag of uncle jims original duk soup mix. But I dont know if its good? I didnt know marshalls made it till like 5min ago. Not sure how to use it yet
@@Simply_colbie Raw is not bad for ferrets. Whatever information you have is incorrect. I saw in another comment you are going based off of what a veterinarian said. Veterinarians are not taught about raw diets and are taught to promote unhealthy kibble, you need to do more research and stop spreading misinformation about raw diets.
@@creepycyprian i stopped watching ferret vids a while ago, and stopped commenting like this bc who am i too correct peoples way of raising their animals, but i do ask you too check how old the comment YOU correct is.
Hello thanks for for all your input and suggestions I would not know any thing about farret a and I would probably be misinformed if it were not for you
Hello! I have a question about ferrets and hope you can answer. I want to have two ferrets so they can be play buddies but I don’t know if I should get two males or two females, or if it doesn’t matter. I know there’s a lot of specific things that would effect it like how old they are or if they’ve known each other previously but if there is a general answer it would be appreciated, thank you!
(Mod) Hi there! It generally doesn’t matter if they are male or female unless they are intact (not spayed or neutered). As long as their temperaments are compatible, you should have no issues!
Wig Snatched (mod) Hi this channel owner and the mods strictly recommend getting two from the beginning because them being social animals and most of the time you will find more already bonded pairs at shelters and breeders then then juts single ferrets so you don’t have to worry about bonding!
Xanthe Webb [Mod] yes, raw meaty bones are a natural way of cleaning teeth but we understand it’s not for everyone! Virbac C.E.T. Enzymatic Toothpaste for Dogs and Cats, Beef Flavor, 2.5 oz www.amazon.com/dp/B074P77LB2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_UHTREbMX4JE2B I personally used this while I was on kibble. As for tooth brush a baby toothbrush would be good
@@veronicam4662 thank you so much I'm not currently able to give bones but I will look into it and appreciate the help for the meantime thanks for the advice it's very helpful
@@veronicam4662 that toothpaste is not good for ferrets Sorbital, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Purified Water, Dextrose, Xantham Gum, Flavor, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Thiocyanate, Phosphoric Acid, Glucose Oxidase (Aspergillus Niger) and Lactoperoxidase That's why is for cats and dog not ferret
Icing love [Mod] yes the virbac isn’t great and still contains sugar but compared to other toothpastes it is the best option there isn’t a tooth paste marketed for ferrets that’s good raw meaty bones it definitely best but for those feeding kibble this is the best option for tooth paste because feeding raw and kibble could cause issues due to being digested two different ways
(Mod) Hi, Kari! Yes, supervised playtime outdoors is wonderful enrichment! Be sure to use a ferret-friendly harness or portable playpen to keep them safe :)
[Mod] Hi this is dependent on your choice ferrets are prone to vaccine reactions so that’s something to keep in mind it has been proven that the rabies vaccine lasts longer than a year but many vets and states don’t recognize that my opinion do your research in what the reactions entail and weigh the pros and cons and make a decision.
[Mod] vaccines are a very touchy subject for any animal community. Many places they are mandatory. Titer tests are pricey but the best way to determine if the vaccine is still present in the ferret/animal. Ferrets are so small so they are prone to reactions. Any decent vet will NEVER let you get both (i.e., rabies and distemper) the same visit and will closely monitor the ferret afterwards.
I agree on everything you say about ferrets. But you've never talked about the fact that ferrets mustn't be castreted because that is what is causing ferrets to develop adrenal desease. There is a chemical castration via implants. DO not buy ferrets on stores because the US (Marshall sells ferrets that are castrated at less than 3 months old)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here in Europe that is prohibited!!! Marshall sucks. Same thing as taking out their glands (because that way they stink less.....if you want a ferret just accept they have an odor!!!!!!!!!!!
[Mod] Hi in the US a majority if not all of the ferret adopted from rescues are Marshalls so most of us have not experienced an alteration of ferret such as castration or spaying. This was briefly touched in the Marshalls video on why it’s bad. Well we do speculate that castration at a young age is helping cause adrenal this has never been proven the other speculation is that an over abundance of unnatural light could also be causing it. Hopefully this helps clear that up have a nice day!
I know this will be a long comment but PLEASE READ! If you are new or are at her channel to learn about ferrets and you didn’t know enough to know that raw is best for your ferret, DONT hate on her if you don’t do your research, kibble is normally bad if you don’t do it right. Kibble dehydrates ferrets stomachs and sense ferrets don’t naturally drink water they get it from they’re diet, and kibble takes away the water from they’re diet and when u feed them kibble then you should add water to it and turn it into a thicker type of soup, and you probably will have to bruise your ferrets teeth if you feed kibble unless you can give them smaller pieces of bone wither a couple of they’re bones in they’re weekly diet. i also sud gets giving them a scrambled up egg for some nutrients. DISCLAIMER: i learned almost ALL of this from watching every single video on her channel, she is super informative and awesome, if you don’t agree with information she gives then DONT hate on her she is super experienced and most likely knows what is best for ferrets.. so just don’t watch her videos if you don’t agree with something she says.
