Congrats to Ferris st. Football team, coaches, parents. 60 minutes away from repeat National champs.Colorado Mines is tuff but your better. Take your destiny.
A costly decision not to punt and go for it on 4th down almost came back to haunt us. WF got 2 quick touchdowns in consecutive possessions and tied the game in what was shaping up to be a blowout early on for a Ferris team that was rolling at the time. Lucky halftime was approaching and the Argo's offense never scored again for the rest of the game. Young football coaches if you are up 17 - 3 in the 2nd quarter across the 50 yard line and chance to punt and pin your opponent deep and eat the clock to halftime.....PUNT PUNT!
@@joenop3393 it wouldn’t make any sense for the #1 seed to have to travel and be the away team. This is why the argument always is, home field advantage is crucial. For games like this. Ferris earned the right for Home Field advantage when they beat GV to gain the #1 overall seed
Interesting point, the NCAA used to accept bids from universities advancing to each level of the DII playoff who wanted to host games. Alas large bidders outbid by a mile and it started to reek of corruption. So the NCAA decided it was best to grant the home site to the automatic highest seed and a void a possible scandal. Win more games and you can host.
This is is a +1 quarterback attack offense developed by Urban Meyer at Florida and OSU. The QB isolates the DE into committing to a read before the QB hands it off or keeps it. Many teams are going to this system as you do not need highly ranked recruiting classes to become successful at running it. Get used to it, this is REAL football.
