Ferry Corsten you are an inspiration, not with sound only but as the person you are.. humble, smart and the most genuine 🩶 For a long time I went back and forth with who I like the most in the Trance scene.. you are always my favorite
"A drumbeat won't make you cry", depends on the drummer and how bad they are with their timing 🤣🤣 Great video, Cubase is, and has been my goto DAW for longer than I can remember. The days of Pro16 and Pro24 on the Atari.
There is nothing like Cubase. One-Stop DAW. Has everything you need in one application. No 3rd party plugins needed. That's one of the things that keeps me locked-in to Cubase.
My dream of meeting Ferry came true in 2013 when I went to his show at the Intervention Pool Party here in San Diego, and we’ve been in touch ever since. Then a year after I met him was when I decided to follow his footsteps and be a trance DJ.
This is a great video, Steinberg. But as a fellow Trance producer like Ferry, I'll just tell you that you need to talk to Lange. He's a huge Cubase user and one of the most intelligent people I've ever met, musically (and generally). He has forgotten more about music and Cubase than most of us will ever know.
I started many years ago on Cubase SX then Logic then Studio One then Protools to return definitely to Cubase 12. The progress made by Steinberg is enormous.
I can’t play keyboards so I blag it. My proudest moment is having a beepy acid track played on UK KISS100FM in 1991. I never had cubase back then - now my DAW choice - I literally played and programmed my Yamaha SY85 that was midi’d to a drum machine a DX100 and CZ101. All recorded on a digital 8 track the Fostex DMT8. Beautiful complicated days.
I thought about the drum-beat won't make you cry thing, have you ever seen Whiplash about that jazz drummer? And at the end he bleeds and pours his heart and soul into the drum solo just to show his mean teacher he's the real deal and has what it takes? That was pretty emotional.
then it´s better to switch to Bitwig my friend. Cubase doesn't have to be able to do everything. Cubase goes other ways, which I prefer for my EDM electro ITB workflow. I miss so much features in Bitwig and Ableton that I find in cubase.
The thing I am most unhappy about Cubase 12 is that when you are scrolling with the mouse wheel trough a project you can change the levels of your tracks and not even know what happened until you play the song and notice something is off. Will you fix this in Cubase 13?
@@xicoamc its in preferences: Project&mixconsole , check : vertical scrolling disable mouse wheel it disable scrolling only on parameters, not fader and pan
What does the viewer expect when he sees such a video? He primarily wants to know how the person works with Cubase and what is special about it for him. Unfortunately, it remains here with a boring "blablabla" without added value, too bad.
