Just found the channel. Great video. Looking forward to catching up on some of the vids. Where did you and Gemma meet? Would love to see her appear in more. Just subscribed.
You look a great couple 😊 definitely tractors are your favourite subject 😉 I think in the future they will be drones with workers mostly in a mobile office.
JJ Macleod I find the technology in agri very interesting with complicated machinery. Drones look likely for more accurate spraying, weeding and testing. I’d love to see them working like a hive on fields just like bees 🐝
My uncle lives in Bromyard at Tack Farm Winslow Grange Farm on the tembury road. The farm supplies milk to arla. 28,000 litres daily around 800 cows. Automated milking parlour. Lewis is the surname.
I thought you both done a great job, well done and you should do it again. I'd like to ask why do you drive through your headland tramlines when switching fertiliser spreader off?
Aaron Hogg Thanks Aaron - concerning the tramlines; The spreader was leaving a small miss on the ends between the tramlines (like a small triangle). I’m going to have a play around with the settings next year to see if we can avoid doing the extra over the headland tramline and leave no misses.
Henri's Farming Photography Your talking videos have been great so far! I’m looking forward to the grain carting ones 👌 Just talk about things that interest you 🙌
Henri's Farming Photography Not at all! Yeah you’re bloody handy on a digger! I got told they were tricky things to operate but you made it looks easy!
@@JJ_MacLeod trying to get into Agriculture! I have experience driving tractors and using machinery but finding it hard to get replies back from farms. Any tips you could pass on to me? I'm reachable on instagram :)
JJ Macleod And I’am 15 years old and thinking about going agriculture school, the only reason why I haven’t is the salary. I have farmed a little bit and thinks it’s super fun. And one other reason is finding a full time job. What do you think? Should I go
Simon Hallgren Take it step by step - I think your first port of call sounds like agricultural college? You should then be able to gain some contacts to gain some part time work alongside your education and then go on from their into full time work. One step at a time though! If you enjoy agriculture then definitely go for it 💪
We are thinking about some strip till drills - so potentially the Horsch Focus (I think it’s that one), and we will see what else. I will do my best to get some footage if/ when we get them on demo! 👌
you said its hard to get into farming I disagree, if you are a hard worker and show you are sensible its not hard at all, farms can't be ran by just the family anymore, everything is expanding therefor we need young people. not very reassuring saying its hard to get involved.
A good point you raise but I can only go off my own experience. I think it can be initially difficult getting that first experience as it takes a Farmer who is willing to take time to teach you. But once you’ve got that initial experience and show you’re willing to work hard like you said it gets easier. We definitely need young people to keep coming into the industry and that’s why I think events like open farm Sunday are fantastic!
