Dear Dr. Sklar, thank you for your encouraging videos. I had my first child at 41. I didn't know of you back then. I wanted a second child and had been trying for a year since I was 43. In my search I came across your videos, and they helped tremendously. When it still wasn't working, I had one consultation with a fertility doctor who said that at my age now, 44, only options would be donor eggs with 60% success rate or my own eggs with 10% success rate. At that point I was considering joining your hope program but became pregnant completely naturally, non medicated, at 44 shortly before I applied to your program and in the same cycle that I had talked to the fertility doctor! Thank you so much for these videos, they are giving so much encouragement. I am also referring others that are struggling to you now.
Had my 4th baby at 42 perfect pregnancy, perfect labor, and delivery healthy baby. He’s now four one of the things that I did which I’m a huge advocate for is acupuncture weekly and once implantation started, I did implantation acupuncture to make sure of a healthy implantation. And I do have to mention I have one fallopian tube Ladies 40+ don’t listen to ppl/ Drs saying you can’t …. you can get pregnant at 40+ my husband asked if we can have one more now 46 my period is perfect I’m healthy so why not. Starting acupuncture Monday to prepare.
So awesome. I’m 40 and experienced a miscarriage in April. Currently 8 weeks pregnant and just experienced some light bleeding. Praying I am not losing this one. How are things going? Still planning to conceive? Update: 19 weeks now. Bioidentical progesterone cream has been helping. My bleeding was because I forgot to up the dose. As soon as I corrected it stopped.

I would say maybe try acupuncture just to make sure it’s healthy implantation and enough blood that’s exactly why I did after I found out I was pregnant and I switched my fertility acupuncture to a couple of sessions of just healthy uterus. I love all this positivity about having babies later in life 😊 I will turn 48 next month, I have 3 teenage children already, unfortunately my marriage ended 3 years ago, I now have a partner whom I love dearly, he is 40 and doesn’t have children of his own but has aways wanted them though life doesn’t always turn out as we plan 🤷♀️ I never thought I’d have anymore children, it was never even a thought until I met him and now the thought of becoming a mother again at this time of my life fills me with excitement and joy 🤩 I have had the Mirena IUD for 12 years and had it removed last week. I still have regular periods and just intuitively feel I’m still fertile 😁 I am now ovulating and so my journey toward conception at this time of my life begins 😊 I’m not stressing about it….I’m not putting any pressure upon us, I’m just going to relax, go with the flow and enjoy trying to see how it goes. I know he would make the most wonderful hands on dad and I cannot wait to give him a miracle baby (or 2 😜😍) wish me luck 🍀🤞🏻
I have been to fertility clinic and first thing was IVF only. I have to get polys removed and looking for second fertility and tell me will be 255 for consultation and have done all labs , ultrasound and HSG. Just so done.
I hope you find that wonderful husband and get pregnant! If that doesn't work out, though, please don't rule out artificial insemination. It might sound weird at first but plenty of women have done it with no regrets and got a beautiful baby out of it ❤
I got pregnant with my first pregnancy at 44 yrs old and had a healthy baby boy. I just turned 48 yrs old and recently had my blood work test results from my OBGYN and was told that I have high FSH and a low ovarian reserve. The test was done on day 4 of my cycle. I was informed that it will be hard to have a spontaneous pregnancy and that I need to talk to a fertility specialist. I have been watching your videos to receive more information. Our ultimate goal is to make the necessary lifestyle changes as possible to prayerfully have a successful pregnancy.

I'm a Criminal Justice major, on my way to Business Law, Reunited with a high school friend now husband and I'd like for us to have two children. To all the women here... remember that a significant portion of your fertility depends on your partner taking care of himself, too. It took my partner two tough years to go from being medically sterile, to having a high healthy sperm count naturally. We were told IVF or even only a biopsy was our only hope, and to do it immediately (I was 42). I do however have unusually good numbers (egg reserve, hormone levels etc). We instead went to a fertility herbalist and naturopath as well as paid attention to our medical tests. We now have a lovely new doctor, a professor, who has just started IUI with us, said he sees no need for IVF yet and has never once tried to terrify me about my age. He's always positive and saying how healthy everything is and how confident he is. If your doctor is making you anxious, find someone else. The process of TTC is challenging enough.

I got a tubal reversal back in September of 2021. I have four kids ages 21, 20, 18, and 17. My kids dad was not good to me when we were married. I am with someone now that would be a great dad. I struggled to conceive when my husband and I first started trying when I was 30. The fertility clinic was happy to sign us up for invasive and expensive treatments after one consultation. I just turned 40 this past Dec 1st & I started being intimate with my fiancé on the 18th of November & somewhere between the 24th & 26th, I got pregnant instantly, fast & naturally without even trying. I am 45, TTC since 43, pregnant once with early miscarriage. Everyone talks about fertility treatments and even had a rude call where they were awful about my age and told me that they only would do IVF or IUI and with donor eggs. I don't buy it. I was told that I need a donor egg in November last year, I was pregnant in May but I had a miscarriage, I haven’t been pregnant in ten years so this was a surprise, I was pregnant 3 times before last year all resulting in miscarriages due to anticoagulant lupus. I’m 45 yrs old, hoping it happens again soon with successful pregnancy. Thank you for all the helpful advice and tips.
I appreciate you inspiring hope for those of us hoping to conceive after age 40. I've been told by fertility doctors that health is not related to egg quality; age is much more of a factor. It's hard to believe that health doesn't contribute to egg quality - how could it not be? I'm glad there are alternative voices like yours out there to give us some encouragement!
I just turned 41, have been trying to conceive my second child for over 3.5 years. I have secondary infertility. 2 failed IUI and 1 failed IVF, one miscarriage the last two years. I had my first child at age 24. It is for sure a lot harder now that I am older. I still have hope though. Love to all, stay positive and change your mindset.

This is really sad, at your age you should get lots of egg and blast embryos, you might have long journeys ahead, so be strong, patient and strategic. Here are some advice: - Change doctor, consult with multiple clinics and and try different IVF protocols. - If you are financially struggling with the IVF cost, apply for grants and try to find a job that offers fertility benefits. - before you do another round, do lots of research. (Fertility IQ) - consider PGT-A - check male factors Wishing you the best of luck.

My labs look great and am a good weight, eat healthy mostly organic, take supplements, drink filtered water, have a low toxins household. I'm 42 years old. I've been TTC for over 7 years now. Multiple failed IVF cycles. Just received devastating news that my 6th IVF cycle failed yet again. I've reduced my stress by taking time off of work, began exercising more (including yoga), taking prenatals and multiple supplements for egg quality improvement and better reproductive function, fertility teas, acupuncture, incorporated the Mediterranean diet, eliminated processed foods and had my husband on supplements to increase sperm quality and quantity. We've been praying for so long for a miracle. We've gone through extensive testing. Yet, I still failed. Feeling defeated is an understatement. I’ve been told the same thing. I will be 45 in August but conceived my son naturally at 41. I have no prior health issues especially women’s health issues.
I am 42 and just had AMH (among other things) tested and was amazed that it was 3.8. Hopefully that means I have a lot of eggs and am bound to find a healthy one.

Yes I have been told by many doctors to go for IVF. That is the only way for me to get pregnant. One of those doctor also told me that I will have to take egg donor. I refused to go for this and still trying to conceive naturuly. I am 37 yr old and suffering from endometriosis. I had gone through 1 open sergery to remove chocolate cyst from both the overies.
I truly believe it’s possible! My friends mom had her at 50!! Cleanse the body... we are bombarded by hormone disruptive toxins from food, lotions & hair products!

I'm 38. Two 4 week losses. One 2017, 2019 on our own. Not terrible numbers but I do have diminished ovarian reserve but nothing else wrong. Very frustrating. They said very low chance of me getting pregnant on my own. Did one IVF that resulted on 8 eggs - 3 embryos, 1 final surviving embryo implanted that didn't work.

I saw a lady on fb that selling some herbal from her mom, she got pregnant n other people got pregnant...I wanted to try but I don't even get my period...why I want to try. I told her I'll order the high blood pressure (her dad had high blood pressure n minor stroke before)..n wait till the herbal to get my period comes in from laos. She said during ur period u boil n drink the the tea for the time of ur period n do that for 3 months. Can I ask any other ladies if they have been in my situation … ? I am 39 going on 40. I’m pretty physically fit, very good muscle tone, just slightly overweight by about 15-20lbs. No health conditions ever, no problems with fertility in family history. My husband is much younger, 31 years old. Never been pregnant before. I do however drink regularly, about 4 drinks a day 5 days a week. (It’s a bad habit, I know). I don’t smoke (used to in my 20s, but I do vape). I use the green herb maybe a few times a month but very lightly. Because of my age I am worried about my fertility. After my wedding in August I plan on cutting back on the alcohol and switching to Nicorette gum to quit vaping. I have a pretty good diet. I eat mostly protein and fat and vegetables. 1 coffee daily. Is anyone else out there my age with my similar (or used to have) my similar lifestyle habits? And what were your experiences with trying to conceive? I have been told their in nothing wrong with my egg quality, my lining and a healthy egg count , everything comes back normal even with my husband but yet I have had 3 miscarriages and now can not get pregnant at all . I was told that it is simply because of my age and that IVF was the only other option. I just feel at the age 42 that is just not true. I have 4 children already and got a tubal reversal 2018 what is going on here.
