Nice lawn, i also have tall fescue and I stay in north Texas and I apply Lawn Root Moisturizer and I do my last mow in June 20 and let it at 4 inches to make it through the summer.

Looks great! I just converted my front yard to fescue this spring and it's going great. Do you overseed fall only or do you do a spring overseed as well? I'm thinking overseed only in fall, preferred, and that way I can apply pre-emergent in spring? I wear orange and black so please don't give me bad info 😂😂😂
I actually do exactly that. I only overseed in the fall, gives the seed a better chance at survival, and then that also allows me to apply pre-emergent in the spring. Boomer! 😉
You can have your cake and eat it too with using “tenacity” herbicide. Tenacity can be applied simultaneous to overseeding. Works very good. Tenacity can also be used as a post emergent depending on how it’s applied.
