I was in the front row at this concert , memorable experience. Kya baath Pandit ji, it was nice meeting you . 🙏🏼 please come back to Los Angeles soon .
Awesome rendition. I think he played some very rare compositions which we dont get to hear so often. Kudos to the organisers for showcasing us noted artists.
This festival has exposed the world to the rich parampara of Pt Taranathji. It also proved that the Internet's obsession with only 4 or 5 tabla players as premiere maestros is unfortunate.
You are absolutely right. The "star system" tries to monopolize the Web Space for just a few maestros as if there are no other geniuses at all! The picture that focuses on a just a few is artificial and untrue and perhaps even conspiratorially done to favor the few.
@@Birdbussa Rupesh has taken the intiative sincerely to propagate Guru Taranthji's knowledge and together with the knowledge of his two nephews i.e.Shashibhai & Ravibhai Bellare. Jay...Guru
I am very fortunate to learn from Late.Pt.Maruti Kurdikar guruji, who was a disciple of Pt.Taranathrao. very 'rich' tradition... N very difficult to 'reach'....
That is great Rushikesh. Maruti Bhai is our Gurubhi but I didn't get to ever meet him. I'm sure AnandBhai knows him very well. Glad you liked the solo. Many more are coming!
Pandit ji aapne jo bajaya... Aur jo barappan dikhayi stage me at the end of the show... Wohi me aapke liye respect tis guna zada ho gaya... Jug jug jiyo aap!!!! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
That is great Nagraj. Maruti Bhai is our Gurubhi but I didn't get to ever meet him. I'm sure AnandBhai knows him very well. Glad you liked the solo. Many more are coming! If you look above there is and one of your Gurubhai's Rushikesh....
Renu, would love to talk with you and see if you are interested in presenting at our Festival of Tabla 2021. Please reach out to me when you find time. My email can be found at the end of any of our uploads.
The fame to the Gharana received or got due to Artist. Ustad Ahmedjaan Thirkawa did fame to Farrukhabad Garana during his period. These artists were giving o imoportance to area they belong. Due to lack of communication they were paying respect to that city Gharana and in other way that was marketing tact. Like Banaras Paan, Kolkata Paan etc.
@@NicholasKlacsanzkyICM Being an Indian and having a tiny bit of knowledge about my culture I think I know how culturally rich these occasions are so don't think that's appropriate. Not sure if you have seen Zakir Hussain ji's performance. He is full of humor and witty talks but never indicated any other performer or about their performance. 👍
@@shibajyoti100 I have been to Zakirji's performances. It is just a different sense of humor. I understood it as professional tabla players can get sleepy with all the flights. He was making a joke about the constant travel. He has the utmost respect for Zakirji and Anindoji.
