FETTLING ALONG 

As far as the drainage issue for the diff mate…. Are the carrier studs a blind hole?…if not, maybe ya can double nut the stud and pull the bottom stud out to drain?… just a thought and trick ive learnt formdifferent applications along the path of life lol

Hey Bud, don't forget with high rise manifolds, it's the distance from the butterfly shaft in the carby to the head of the valve, that's important part !! The high rise plenum acts like a accumulator with very tall runner legs into each port. I used to run a 318 Chrysler, cam, high stall, and all that. I went from a dual plain manifold (performer) to a single plain (torker) I lost a lot of torque under 4,000rpm. So I fitted a division plate , similar to a dual plain. What a difference to throttle response, and I had to jet down quite a bit. Worked very well, but lost out up top.

the duggan manifold was the first early head high rise manifold,very rare and hard to come by.the peter michaels strip master manifold came out in the early 90's.make sure you port match that new manifold to your heads it makes a big difference as that manifold is made small in the ports for port matching.4 hole spacers work real well on these manifols to.

Good to see the carb stand being used. Squirt some carby cleaner down the accelerator squirter passage, that crud is probably still on the seat area. Have a look at the umbrella in accelerator pump cavity as well, they can sometimes deteriorate as well. I might give you a call during the week mate. Cheers

I had that happen once to my pumps too. When i leave it sit i put one of those plastic carb hats on and spray wd40 in it mate
