I found a couple of feuerhand lanterns and decided to give it a little makeover 😊

Hiya pal, great video. Don’t suppose you can post links to the products you used as I’m planning on restoring mine also. Did any of the products damage or thin the metal out in any way? Any weakness as a result of the acid? Cheers pal

Thank your for your comment 👍🏻 Regarding the acid it is important to rinse the object very well afterwards to insure the object will not rust as a result of the acid. The acid will not damage the metal and it does not damage original paint if you remember to clean it afterwards. Also use the soft side of the sponge when you clean the object in the acid solution and keep it wet. I think you can get OXALIC acid in most hardware stores. Remember to use rubber gloves and keep your workshop ventilated. Best Lars
