When the music programme for Vivid 2024 was announced it was immediately obvious that Fever Ray would be the must see performance, and their first ever Australian concert didn’t disappoint. “Swedish Avantgarde techno pop artist” (not my label, but as good a description as any), Karin Dreijer has been performing as Fever Ray since 2009. “Radical Romantics” is their third album and naturally featured heavily throughout the 16 songs of the show. I’m not sure I selected the best numbers from the night but these are the four I decided upon beforehand:

A brilliant rendition of “Coconut” ended the performance. Wish now that I’d recorded it.
Great lighting and sound throughout, as you’d expect from a Vivid show. Truly a night to remember. It was all filmed by SOH, so hopefully, we'll be able to enjoy a professional recording in the not too distant future.
