Easy method to quit any gacha before it becomes a bad habit. 1. turn off notifications, 2. Be honest with yourself.

One thing i learned from Final fantasy brave exvius, you should not stress yourself out from limited time characters and equipment to get them before the event ends. Just play it having fun, because those limited time stuff will become obsolete through power creep sooner or later. When i started playing it, i just had to get them all, but lesson learned, i just get the ones i actually want for self satisfaction purposes and I'm happy that way.

Thanks for letting me know. I was thinking about playing FF7 Ever Crisis on my PC, but if felt like a lot hoops to jump through to get it running. I'd rather play something else. Great video and thanks again HamZero.

Completely agree that the online retention tactics are bad for your health.... But it's slowly infecting console games as well sadly. It's worse on mobile but its not a mobile only phenomenon sadly

Im so sad i was really looking forward for this game since i heard it was coming out but then when it did... 😭😭😭 i love the fact that they re telling more story about some characters, i love the graphics and then that is it! Even the autoplay feature in co op annoys me, like i was decided to play without the auto feature but quickly realized i was gonna get left behind.. and also i don't really want to have my games battles running on auto while i do something else... where's the actual gaming experience. I love ff7, they did a great job with this game its really expanding the universe but... gacha... incessant grinding... no no. Great video thnks for speaking up! 💪🏽⭐

It’s why I play NIKKE as it uses an idle gacha model. At the same time it doesn’t really encourage you to buy for FOMO as certain units is on par with limited characters. The gearing system is pretty tame. Getting mats is also tame.

I play PS5, PC, also mobile. I get used to those platform. In my opinion, FF7 EC is one of the most generous and friendly mobile game. I struggle on the first 4 days tho because so much content to finish. But now its a lot easier. If you think EC is bad, I think its just mobile game is not for you, not because its a bad game.

Maybe when all the Chapters have finally released, Square would do what CAPCOM did with MMX Dive and release an OFFLINE version with a one time payment that allows you to play the game without ANY of the predatory microtransactions and gacha mechanics..............console release would also be nice like they did with FFXV Pocket.................

I've been playing mobile gacha games for over a decade now and I don't completely agree with how you view this game. Maybe it's the fact that I lack the money and time to invest and play PC or console based games over the PS1,PS2 and PSP era, that i found comfort in the mobile gaming world. I get that Ever Crisis is far from the mainline gaming experience, but it is a gacha game and it presents itself like a gacha game. It's meant to be played at your own pace and how ever you like to play it. You can be free to play or pay to play there are no rules. It's like a very different gaming experience so I get it. I'm busy with work too but the fact I can carrying my phone with me anywhere makes it convenient for me to enjoy the game. As for console, I don't have the luxury and assets to venture that path sadly. I'm not hating your perspective, I'm just aware I'm not with you but I see where your coming from. And yeah, I'm going to be one of those people who will watch other people play FF7 Rebirth haha!... so yeah xP

I am a hardcore ff7 fan and I tried hard to get into this game with characters over 30. Overall it's a lesser ff7 experience than the original. Playing the original again made me realize how much better it is. The story isn't all there in ever crisis and the characters outside of combat look even worse than the original blocky characters especially barret. The characters have huge heads, hands and feet it just looks weird. You have to go to many menus just to collect all your items and the combat system is lame.

The only thing I get is the weekly boost. Do dailies, co-ops, and some quest. Then move on with life. It's a compressed story "self-phase" re-enactment gacha game and not a console or mmorpg. It's not really for Fans but a quick way to tell players what happens in the game who have not played the console game for Free.

This kind of game teach me about managing resources and self control. And yeah sometimes i failed at self control

I generally just hate mobile gaming unless it's a port of a game that was on console like Chrono Trigger or FF1 through 9 or DQ.

The gatcha system is one of the worst ive seen and if its handled like any other ff mobile, its always not good

no game is for every single ff7 fan, it is a cultural phenomenon. mobile games definitely arent for you if ff7 EC is complicated.

I quite agree with you since I'm rather against gacha games that's why i try not to spend to much because i dont want to spend money on something I'm not guaranteed to get. That said, for me the FF7 EC is probably the most closest i will get to a real FF7 Remake from the OG standpoint. I cried again just watching the story unfolds in EC the music has a slight different arrangements and I'm loving it. It's sad that they made it a gacha game. I will still try to play it if I have time (I hate FOMO and Gacha mechanic) just to experience the story and alternative outfits. I would surely pay for a full game like this if there ever was. Furthermore, i must mention that the events story eventough its simple but really is wholesome and quite entertaining. I love all the FF7 aspects just not the gacha mechanic and fomo effects.

honestly i played gacha before. but the menus are just bad and theres just way too much stuff to do before you can max a character. you either spend or super slow drip grind to get stronger. it literally ruins my motivation to log on. the p2w elements i expected but the problem is its in your face so much of the time. i dont know who its for because people who are casual wont have the patience for it. and people who are hardcore will reach a point where they run out of things to do thats interesting.

Played EC for like 5 mins and then was hit with all the item draw, weapon stat BS and gave up immediately. All EC does well is show how cool a modern, stylized version of FF7 would be. This is why I resent EC. If this gambling gimmic wasn't so profitable, Square would probably release a game like EC, but with the mechanics of OG FF7, and that would be exactly what the fans who dislike the remake's direction want. And hopefully warm them up to letting the remake explore a different story.

I dont think they will make it be a pain to play through the story without paying out atleast without paying much. But there will obviously be alot of things in there you can pay for to make it easier.

I like a game but at the same time I don't like a game, this game is literally pay to win 💀 it like you need to buy stronger weapons to beat everything easy 💀 and I hate that, I only download ever crisis just to play First soldier young sephiroth story and I can't even beat it because of emeny is to hard because of this damn gameplay 💀

Gacha games are trash. They dont even look like (UI) or play like regular videogames. The only exception is Genshin, that game actually looks like and plays like a normal videogame, but its a gacha game 🗑️ so i refuse to even play it.

You either have never heard of a gacha game or you're just nitpicking to nitpick. Either way, Square has always been on the F2P gamer's side. You're other points can be said about any other gacha game, so basing this video on just Ever Crisis is kinda moot. If you don't know what a gacha game is, then this is informational, but not an end-all be-all for Ever Crisis. And if you're worried about FOMO, it's just a game, and the lore will be online as soon as it's released.

The only thing worthwhile from this game is the extra lore you get from certain story missions and all of the character missions. Anyone interested in that should just look up recordings of it on RU-vid. Don't get sucked into a gacha game.
