I love how inconsistent the acting is for the characters it makes these battle hardened characters feel like a bunch of kids performing in a school play

Barrett and Red’s reaction got me. But I think Barrett got me the most with “Are you kidding me right now?”. I was wondering when they’ll bring up the choice where Cloud expresses his love to someone else and they NAILED it! 🤣🤣🤣

Yuffie's part is so like her! Brings much needed laughs while most of us are fighting over tifa/aerith.

Not gonna lie, Cloud looks really good in that shade of blue.

The subtle differences between all the girls going in for the "kiss" are great. 6:06 Cloud pulls Tifa into the twirl and she looks a little surprised, but then looks like she's longing for the kiss. 8:25 Aerith seems to be leading the twirl and looks like she's simply expecting the kiss to follow. 10:44 Yuffie goes for the infinite twirl that makes her swoon and then panics when she realizes that it's the kiss scene, but goes for it anyway.

Okay it’s actually fascinating how the English actors really sound like they’re reciting and it’s a bit awkward and wooden (especially Cloud), but in the Japanese version they were eating up and selling it. Just like Genesis.

I like the sublte differences between Yuffie, Aerith, and Tifa. Yuffie leads Cloud into the dance while being dramatic about it ofc. Aerith kind of pulls Cloud towards her a bit. And Cloud just straight up leads Tifa into it.

honestly I love how all of this is just foreshadowing of whats to come, with specific words used as well. I remember sitting seeing an option for "Future with Rosa" and I was thinking "Oh this is gonna be that its gonna end tragically isn't it" Boom tearful Farewell. And then Varvados at the end: "What awaits you at JOURNE'YS END (No promises left at the Journey's end) will the Goddess grant you Her blessing (Aerith, might actually refer to Minerva)? Or will the flames of vengeance consume you? (Sephiroth winning, making Cloud in his own image (I refer to the Cloud Trial in the Temple of the Ancients)) All shall be revealed O Puppet of Fate (I mean. Puppet of Fate, defying fate n shit... all this stuff. Its a very specific word) so dance while you still have time. Dance till your frayed strings break... and you can dance... no more..." Hi I am overanalizing the game and loving every second of it.

In the original FF7 you could pick “silly options”. Glad Yuffie is carrying that spirit back into part 2. A good NG+/Platinum reward considering 99.9% of us are on a Tifa/Aerith conflict.

Honestly, cloud acts exactly like the script with all of them and you see some funny moments as well, but with tifa he really adds his desire he genuinely takes her hand passionately and spins her hard you know well he wants and love this woman

Aerith and Cloud story mirrors loveless plus is the name of the street they meet, Rosa uses a staff just like Aerith and hugs the Alph in the same way Cloud and Aerith hug in their last date (the scenes look nearly identical minus the location) and the whole theme of meeting again with no promises. This was clearly made with Aerith in mind, but I wonder if this whole loveless thing is the result of CC influence or if it was a thing back in the og.

Hard to tell which Rosa is best, but I did enjoy Yuffie hamming it up.

Watching all this, I think having Yuffie there is the most fun. She really brings her flair to it.

The play fits perfectly into Cloud and Aerith's narrative, the song also talks about reunion and mentions the place where they met for the first time, on Loveless Street, the same name as the play. But my favorite scene was Yuffie, nothing beats it! She is very exaggerated.

In the Loveless play between Cloud/Tifa and Cloud/Aerith, the part where they almost kiss before Barrett interrupted, you can see how close he was about to kiss Aerith vs Tifa. Look at the distance between their noses. Cloud was a lot closer lol just something small I noticed. I’m disregarding Yuffie xD

I'm not taking one over the other for Cloud, but this whole experience definitely felt suited for Aerith. I wish they could have just created more suitable unique experiences for each lady.

The moment I saw “Rosa” with a staff, I knew the role fit Aerith the most. But the story also feels like it parallels Cloud and Aerith’s story in Rebirth. But this is a game with shipping in mind, of course there will be three alternative versions of this

I love the fact that the spinning at the third choice is individual for each character, Aerith and Tifa spinning elegantly while Yuffie just looks like she doesn’t even know why she’s there

From the initial clips alone I can say this: The one who fits the image the most - Tifa The one who fits the role the most - Aerith And Yuffie playing dress-up trying to act like a grown adult. 😂

All really brilliant but personally liked Tifa’s the most. Feels more right when Aerith takes the stage later

Love how for the 3rd optipn they all have different spins. tifas spin into clouds arms is rather lovely. With both of them putting in effort. Aerith gracely and perfectly falls into his arms by herself And Yuffie exaggerated the whole spin 😂

Is it me or is the play full of subtle references to other Final Fantasy games? "For I know that I will find you here" sounds like the opening of FF8, "Rosa" is from FF4, etc.

Aerith and cloud flow so well together cloud was clumsy with the other girls. Notice how tifa and yuffie call cloud a true hero playing into his soldier persona. But aerith says true love conquers all. The devs really knew what they were doing when they made this.
