One thing I HIGHLY Recommend in boss fights such as this is Take Full Advantage of Tifas Unbridled Strength. Whenever you stagger a Foe make sure you use Tifas Triangle Attacks while Unbridled Strength is activated this will greatly increase the Stagger damage percentage. You can Also use the Time Materia to cast Stop witch will Stop the stagger meter allowing you to deliver much more damage
Fought them last night. Engaged Kujata first because I thought he was the bigger threat. Focused on Phoenix after downing Kujata. Missed my chance and Phoenix unleashed his ultimate attack... BOOM! Kujata came back to life! I was dumbfounded.
Here’s a tip to make the fights infinitely easier: Elemental Materia (Lv 2-3) + Fire in armor slot. Phoenix straight up can’t do ANYTHING to the characters with those equipped. Just gotta make sure to heal the 3rd one (unless you do this after getting the 3rd Elemental materia). Edit: had Lv 2-3 in wrong spot
This fight was really easy once I gave cloud and Tifa elemental materia linked to a fire material in their armor slots for fire defense. Phoenix couldn’t really do any damage
It's incredibly unfortunate for me that I never leveled my elemental materia sooner. Having no catchup mechanic for AP whenever there's some materia that can take most of the game to level is so rough. At least give us some triple link gear!
@@arsonne There is the armband that gives like 2x or 3x + the AP^ materia. pair those up on one of the gold saucer arena fights that have alot of small dudes.
U saved me from so many hours. I kept getting to the part where phoenix one shots me bc I always forgot to manawall bc it so fast. But once I saw this comment… dude u saved my ass the boss became a cake walk.
@@Asumora159the Chocobo Armband and if you pair it up with AP Up it boost it to x6. Grinding world enemies and having it equipped to a back liner will still yield the AP for whatever materia.
This fight is actually super easy. Follow these steps... 1.) Put Elemental + Fire in your armor. This will make two of your characters pretty much invincible 2.) Take out Kujata first because Phoenix won't take damage until then 3.) Once Kujata is revived then focus everything on Phoenix 4.) Use Shiva summon. She took out Phoenix on her own
One thing you can do to optimize your runs is by just simply hitting triangle one time on Tifa, even if you don't have your stacks on her because at least your stagger damage multiplier increases, which is a lot actually.
Took these two on last night and won on my first try…tough fight but got through it. Recommend equipping the elemental materia with maxed out fire materia linked together to armor to nullify Phoenix and Kujatas fire attacks. The other two fights were tougher, especially Odin and Alexander battle.
@@epicbonghits lol I beat Phoenix and Kujata first without dying. Then I took on Bahamut and Titan next. Died the first time in that, but prevailed the second time and did Odin and Alexander last. Died once in that fight too. That’s what I’m saying.
Lol I read a dumbass guide online saying to take out phoenix first. It’s close to impossible while just ignoring kujata. Good upload these end game fights are tough
I mean, if you fight kujata first then Phoenix will just revive it, and you won't be able to kill it in time either, so you'll still end up getting double teamed. Even in this video they kill Kujata first but end up having to kill Phoenix after it revived Kujata and Kujata a second time
You have to kill Kujata first, he's the tether to Phoenix (orange line you can see that connects them) so you can't kill Phoenix until that is broken. Phoenix's whole gig is reviving so it was obvious how this fight was going to play out by him reviving Kujata
this is the issue with this boss, as soon as you kill kujata you have to kill phoenix immediately or hell revive him, on this fight it doesnt matter you probably playing on normal or scale mode, but for the vr challenge u gotta fight them in hard mode and this proves really hard thanks to phoenix.
Kujata revive is part of the fight. Before and after phoenix revive Kujata you al have all the time to kill phoenix before she become immortal again. It’s actually really easy was you realize that he’s still vulnerable after the revival of Kujata. Still the hardest of the 3.
Finally someone who understand the game's battle mechanics, utilizing shortcut inputs and strategically moving around the field. Unlike those who mash the Square button aimlessly. Thank you for top tier gameplay BFD
Thats the basic lol. This fight is shit and even after doing it shit remain. All latest games artificial difficulty is spammed too much , can't call this hard" while its just tedious and probably wrong. good luck with this shit
I too love button mashing, but respect the shortcut utilization. Not sure if it's maybe not having the right loadout for optimization purposes but meh.
I killed Kujata first, then Phoenix started casting Rebirth flame. I go all out on her with blizaggas and other strong attacks. It keeps cancelling the cast.
Does anyone know if these fights lvl scale? I beat the first one but can’t beat this one for the fucking life of me. Thinking I’m just underleveled at 48.
Nah, I beat all three trials at lv 49 yesterday, and on dynamic mode. I used Cloud, Tifa and Barrett I don't remember all the materias I used, but I do remember the important ones. Cloud - Elemental Mat 2* w/ Fire & Ice Mat on armor linked slot to be immune to both fire and ice Tifa - Elemental Mat 2* w/ Lighting & Wind Mat on armor linked slot to be immune to both lightning and wind (the wind immunity is kinda useless) Barrett - Barrier w/ magnify to cast barrier or manward Equip Phoenix, doesn't matter who Equip Enemy Skill; have and cast Sonic Boom for the buff Focus and finish Kujata first, make sure you have enough health or atb to recover from Phoenix's AOE from reviving Kujata, Focus and finish Phoenix next, then you finish Kujata last This worked for me and hope it helps, but who knows you probably beat this already or have a better comp you want to work with
@@ibisiii3526 no^ Scaling with the game means that everything will pretty much be on par with your level. If, as an example, you played the game on normal difficulty but you ended up grinding and maxing your characters out (50 I believe), the game has default levels already layed out for whatever opponents or bosses. On the Dynamic Difficulty, they're going to be the same level you are.
For me this was the easiest (and most satisfying) battle of the 3, I did it at level 50. Cloud with Elemental - Fire and Ice is basically unkillable. Killed Kujata first, absolutely one tapped Phoenix with Barret + Cloud Level 3 Limits, then 1v1 with Kujata.
@@badrbattioui Odin + Alexander was an absolute nightmare for me. Seeing Phoenix absolutely disappear with a double lvl 3 Limit was my first glimpse at how insane the damage could get in this game. 1 second it was there, the next one it wasn't 😅
Yeah it casts empowering flame twice and if left unchecked will cast rebirth, so basically deal enough damage while its casting empowering flame and it will pressure it out of it. If you use assess it does tell you, if youve already assessed something just press touch pad and it shows details to save having to use it everytime you fight it 👍
I don’t think you can the first time, after that you can. My move was kill Kujata first, once it’s dead, Phoenix will revive, but tether is broken. So next I focus on Phoenix and after you kill it, it’s a 1v1 with Kujata. If you keep killing Kujata, Phoenix will keep reviving
I used the synergy attacks that raise your limit level and saved all those limits for phoenix. As soon as kujata dies, use all limit breaks on phoenix.
