FTP is definitely viable. I literally watched everyone one of your videos and stumbled my way through the JP UI without being able to read anything. team is looking great with 3 SSRs / 2 URs. The key is just as you say, focus on 1 or 2 URs at a time with different elements. On my way to leveling them to 79 without too many issues. Keep up the great videos.
Cannot express enough how much I appreciate your content. I'm such a huge fan of FFT/TO:LUCT(not to mention all the other games in the Ivalice setting.) and I was not prepared for this level of gacha game. They've been on my periphery for a while now, I even delved into FE: Heroes before getting bored, tho I really did appreciate what the developers did with that game, it was quite stellar. Long story short, I'm not great with money and am going to endeavor to use this as an oppurtunity to learn me some impulse-control and how to set goals, etc. Also your voice really reminds me of Jeff Goldblum but I don't want to cringe when I listen to you so there's that. You're doing god's work; keep it up chingón!

really great video, good to know the NRG packs are the best spending. Gonna stick to that, maybe get the top end 5,000+5,000 pack once or twice this year for later limited units.

I am a dolphin leaning whale in most mobile games I play. This one will be no exception but having some idea where to focus my gems is key and I appreciate your videos. I would get some mix of the $10 stamina bundles and the $20 Story Quest Packs, those are the best deals and not too expensive. The game gives out lots of lapis so you probably won’t need to get that

Just a fyi for people, on global now, I am sure he addresses' this later, but you get it within the first section of chapter 1 pretty much as a reward. The 1.5x speed I mean.
Great video! Sounds like the lapis + big energy pack will be great to get a head start on grinding when it comes. Hopefully get Y'shtola and Mont to 80 or 90 and rely on them while I slowly grind away on Mediena and Engelbert shards. Selling my soul for Ramza so I'll try and save up all of my lapis from the beginning to try and get him and level him up. Given JP players are more whale-like than other players do you think they will make any changes to suit the global market?
Sounds like a solid plan. I kind of regret not going for Ramza since so many of his shards were available during his event but oh well. The JP game gives away a ton of lapis and other stuff. If they kept that for Global, and I think they will, Global players should be happy
I dunno about SE but Zlong for instance revised their price for the global version of Langrisser since they realized ppl weren't spending as much lol. They basically cut the monthly VIP bundle price in half which is super great! So any respectable company can adjust the price per region if they are smart enough to not base their expectation on the highest spending region . . .

Thanks for another great video Cabbage. If you are looking for topics to make videos on (or alternatively could answer here if it is short), can you do one on character development? For example, Ive got a level 60 which I try to join multiplayer with. Most everyone else is like 70 or higher, but the damage difference between my 60 (main job lvl 10, sub job 2 and 3 both level 6) SR weapon, SR armor, Job skills being used all level 10 or higher) is night and day. I think I might be missing something here. Is the power difference between 60 and 70 THAT massive? Thanks!
@@cabbagechannel7874 After buying every shard offer I saw for the characters I am using (イエルマ、フェデリカ、メデイエナ、シュテル) イエルマ happens to have the most crystal levels. I threw in an SSR as I found resources to bring up star levels is also thin when looking at URs. She is using a UR vision card and is currently using テトラシル esper. Guess I have to dump more levels into the card/esper.

I got my Mediena to lvl 79 and Lu'Cia to 74 in 2 weeks as f2p. Currently working on max LB them and max awake Ayaka and Vinera. This is my favorite gacha, I've gotten a lot of chars, I will save for Graciela since I'd really like to have her but at the same time, I got the KoR Stern and Fenrir in 2 pulls no planning.
i got pretty crazy luck I guess, though I probably over spent early on my free lapis. but I did the guaranteed ur, and got sterne, then with f2p pulls, I got mediena, and frederika with no rerolls.
You mentioned auto farm when you sleep for your phone. Did you mean for your emulator? Been playing GL and It looks like there's only auto farm for a stage, so you'd have to set up a macro to keep it going while you sleep. If I'm wrong I'd like to know where that button is so I don't have to use an emulator lol.
In jp version they have a toggle that let's you rerun missions until you run out of energy. So all you have to do is max out your energy before bed then, plug your phone in so it stays on and it will keep going.
On the topic of shops, can you give us some information on the random 30 minute shop that pops up? Is it great/good? Is it something you should always look out for? I'm just trying to evaluate the importance of that shop, is all :p

I wonder how to get Awakening Materials as a F2P... Im hoarding all Rainbow Fragments of Thought from events, but i cant just get enough Awakening Prisms. And im seeing that its quite dificult to get Azure Vision Spheres... Most events give Rainbow Vision Spheres...
Thank you for this, I whale kinda hard on most gashas and just now getting off ffbe because there are very little improvements. Currently on epic 7, dragonball dokkan and legends, megaman x dive, hearthstone and yu gi oh among others. SO i was afraid to get sucked in by this. Your information was very helpful. I did a reroll marathon, eneded up with ayaka, olede and marscherie. IS this a keep? I should just focus on these 3 right?
I'm a fish by these standards. I probably spend ~$30-$40 a month. But when I was full F2P, I had no problem getting Ramza to MLB. He is my only MLB UR. I will probably wait for Delita or Agrias if the FFT2 event is as generous with free shards as this one was.

Forgive me, I don’t know what a sweep system is, but there is an auto-farm feature where you can set up your game to farm a quest over and over until you run out of stamina. I use this when I sleep so I actually play less during the day
AOJ ah cool. It’s basically the same thing. Sweep systems usually mean that you spend a ticket to simulate going through the stage without actually ever doing it, so you only end up with the rewards. It’s for farming when you have already finished that stage.
HumbleDictator Then that would be Skip Tickets. Those are in this game too and they don’t give out enough but with this new auto-farm system I haven’t needed skip tickets as much
if you do want to buy the bare minimum of Lapis, (for the daily purchase rewards) go into the actual "Shop" screen and buy the 60 Lapis + 3 NRG potions. Instead of just buying the Lapis from the "+" button. You will get an extra 15 NRG potions per week. Guess how I learned about that. :/
@@cabbagechannel7874 A 10-shot a week honestly does sound pretty good. Add in things like story missions and event rewards + maintenance apology lapis and good 'ol global banner clairvoyance and it seems pretty feasible to save up for certain target banner. Now for another question, I know this game also does "welfare" units, but I've only heard of Y'shtola and Gafgarrion. Have there been anyone else? Also, have you gotten a look at the credits of this game? I'm curious as to who the director and writers are, only been able to find information on this games' artists otherwise.
Dam I got mixed feelings with the game it looks fun and gorgeous but all that pay to win feeling turn me off...... Still if the game is fun I will play it a lot so time invested is ok. thanks for the video
Melodias ROJAS just play it as a game. If I stop having fun in it, I’ll stop playing. If I get into it and really love it, I’ve got no problem supporting the devs a bit. Use your wallet reactionarily not proactively. That’s how I have fun with most mobile games =)

@@cabbagechannel7874 Well from what i have read somewhere they have supposedly announced micro transaction free version for these two region. China will be based of the JP version and Belgium will be based of the global version.
Unless the game has something like Fountain of lapis from FFBE, i'm probably gonna be a f2p. Though I really wander if characters from mainline Final fantasy games like Ramza are gonna be timed-exclusives. I still plan on saving every bit of lapis and tickets that i can to blow it all on that FFT banner.
@@cabbagechannel7874 Okay, I honestly hope they change that. With mainline units being exclusive, it's like JP's summon fest in FFBE , only worse. Plus, it'll probably kill the hype for a lot of people, or make them pull on one unit per year.
Dimitris Haratzas For players that are interested in playing with just mainline characters it’s not ideal, but the original characters are so interesting that no one in JP seems to mind
She’s good, I like her a lot but she’s Dark element so she has lots of competition. Maybe best TM in the game, great for PVP, good Monk support skills, and has Steal Heart which is super-cheesy in the right situation

@@cabbagechannel7874 we use that at Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes about 4-5 year old game whale about $20k spent, Kraken about $80k-90k n above, very few people but they max everything day one.

@@cabbagechannel7874 of course its very doable, but it requires many of luck, patient and management.. i got all the char minus 4 it is strene, "whisper", Engelbert and yerma.. just for the shard is another story.. latest i pulled kitone with 7 single pull (costs 1400 visiore).. same way with the oldman when 3 days before the event ends (its rarely i pull 10).. now he stuck in LB3. when FFT got ramza and his card with the free pull and there where my visiore depleted.. now he is in the LB4 minus 165 shards to LB5. btw Cabbage can i have your player ID so we can be friends.. really admire you.. coz you reminds me of my father.. arigatou gozaimasu..
i'm honestly only willing to spend like 10 dollars a month on a mobile game since i play multiple ones. i love fft but it almost feels like it's not worth playing at that point.

I’m going to attempt FtP in Global to see how doable it is. It’ll be interesting to see how slow progress is and how useable lower-rarity units are in high-difficulty content
gocha game where the point is not to pull for units but to waste premium currency just to make units usable.... what? so the new cool looking units are essentially traps to get you to waste currency. why is this even a thing? once I have the unit I should be able to max him out without spending a dime. cringeworthy that they designed the game the way they did in my opinion. the amount of dupes needed to max a unit is insane. so basically the game is designed in a way that units are only going to be maxed by the whaliest of whales and the rest can screw off or take months farming their stages for a few shards a day. they are effectively blocking out a majority of their player-base on purpose. when this guy says things in his video like I plan on using my current team until their obsolete because the game doesn't offer enough resources to actually use anyone else I die inside. this game might be dead in the water boys. I encourage everyone to not spend till they change their BS or it dies. I love FF but this isn't worth anyone's money subjectively speaking.
