Cutting a swath through the land of Leonis. Today: looking at the most useful and popular non-UR units along with a special look at only Normal-rarity unit, Zazan.
I love Ramada, simple but effective water Lancer with Spellblade so she can also do magic attacks, and last subjob thief so she can be sub-thief. AND she's pretty ! I already have a variety of elements in the team because my starter was Monto, Ramada, Y'shtola, Ayaka ( my guaranteed starter UR ), now Thancred ( earlier Fina or Rairyuu I think )
Thanks for this video! Most of my favorite units are non-URs and I have been working on them. It's fun and like you've said in many videos, you can get creative with all of the aspects of the character. It's ironic that supposedly ULTRA-rare units are more common to see in battles than are the non-ultra units. BOOP! :)
I love your work. So many players are so focused on characters with a UR label on it, but there are so many characters that are good and are not UR and they have certain advantages over UR besides being easier to max out.
Really useful video. I wonder if it will be like TAC where over time the 5 stars really dominate with a few 4 star supports making their way through due to being the best in their role.
Do you take the 1 element 1 char? I mean, i have that Gafgarion with me, and also Rairyuu, so in your opinion, which of them I need to raise first? Thanks and a good voice there!
Are archers good in this game? I did try using a rare 1 but I ended up ditching her as I wasn't that impressed. Ranger job a better choice? I remember rangers were really good in Alchemist Code early on but fell later, thought I might be the same here but guessing not.
What do you think of Meriluke? Been using her and I feel like she's pretty ok. Since I didn't get Frederika yet, I figured I'd just spend my awakening materials on her. When I get a Xiza I'd really like to do a triple monk team with Merluke, Xiza and Etre. Would that + 2 thieves or maybe 1 thief and 1 time mage be good for chaining bosses?
I agree. I think people underestimated the non-UR characters. Everyone is so focused on UR that they want their whole team to be UR, but half of my team contains SSR characters and I am happy with my line-up because of the diversity that i built. Some people that i seen have 1 of each element along with maybe 2 range and 4 melee. I just build my team the way I like to see how my team come together and I like diversity because I try to relate it to somewhat reality, where not everyone is a Superstar. Not at work or your friends or community. There is a huge diversity.
Which of the beginning thiefs are best? I've been looking at their defensive stats, resistances. is that Important to look at? I see Vadim being mostly attack but has poor resistances. I like how he has attack/melee subjobs Knight and Samurai.
She’s good but if you want a Time/White Mage, Phoebe is probably the better choice because she’s easier to max and her TM is better. But if breaks become important, Helena will be better!
@@cabbagechannel7874 thx is good to know heal and offtank at the same time can be very ussefull in some situation i think and her element is perfect for me atm
There's no reason to raise any non UR. Every single situation the UR is the better option. Literally the only reason would be to do bs things like 'farm gold', which is pointless because they hand out millions daily. "might" be worth using. Very, very disappointing to see only URs are viable. Definitely will contribute to the demise of this mediocre iteration. Could have been way better.
Somehow I doubt you have used MRs and SRs in lots of high-difficulty content. The lower rarity units in this game are more viable than in many other mobile games. This is based on months of observation in JP Arena and Guild Battle, and youtubers (and myself) using them in high-difficulty content like the Tower. And there are the Trust Masters, of course
@@cabbagechannel7874 not to mention the ease of getting the MRs and SRs to 6*. The materials are easier to get (minus rainbow shards). IMO its best to focus on 2-3 UR units and 2-3 units of MR and SR each, at the same time.
