Most people with alts I know have them so they can play a different character with a different personality. RP or not just the change of attitude and appearance is why they do it.
This is my reason and surprised it wasn't mentioned. I don't even nessecaily RP, it just feels like I'm betraying my cutesy, naive and passavistic character by having her play as a DRK or BLM; same goes for the rough, cynical and belligerent character being a PLD or WHM. It aesthetically bothers me too much, and feels very out of character for each of them.
So much work goes into one character, I couldn't dream of doing it all again on an alt. And I'm such a completionist, I'd be compelled to do everything on alts too
i had this problem too, this is why my main and my alt goes in different datacenters, so i wont be instantly going between the two of them and comparing them and feeling like i should complete the alt. bc god, put everything on 80 is hard
@@hollowgriefband That means either being in a solo FC, and thus missing on all the social activities from a real FC, or persuading your FC leader to create some free-for-all tab with unlimited withdrawals, but then you risk that a new FC member will take it and run off.
I make alts for character concepts/lore to be honest. And also I always like to play with both genders, a main male and an alt female. I get to use both gender locked glamour stuff too.
Same. Usually I play with my sibling, so I can look over to their screen and see the changes between dialogue (which helps confirm the more subtle times msq refers to the players by saying "he" or "she") but I like seeing just how different gear sets and everything look for myself
I’ve made alts because my fantasia addiction became too real. I love gposing and I have the tendency to want to switch race/gender every month because they all individually look so great and fun and I like change. This way I can just Gpose different races and genders without having to spend so much money on Fantasia
I made an alt after having a long break back in Heavensward. I just felt very disconnected from my old character and didn't feel like playing him. That alt is my main character now!
I have a friend who did an alt after a long break because they changed skills so much that he felt it easier to relearn everything from the start. Also less anxiety doing dungeons on a sprout while relearning skills.
You missed one of the biggest reasons! It allows you to raid as a separate class while bypassing the weekly loot restrictions, so you can say get the Dragoon and Warrior experience without having to wait several weeks to gear one class. Also allows you to raid with friends in case you have a character in a static and they don’t.
I have an alt because I wanted to have my main be a guy even though I'm a girl. I just like playing guys more. It's like how guys enjoy playing girl characters.
I'm a masochist and like alts to punish myself. But in seriousness I primarily RP and I like having different characters with different backgrounds, stories and races. Saves me fantasia addiction as well in the long run. I also use all 8 of my alts to build luxury private rooms in the FC I own so its nice to have that level of decorating power. Furnishing houses is the end game!
This is me, in a nutshell. I have a full roster on Mateus for this very same reason. Meanwhile, I also love to mess around with housing, so I have an alt on Diabolos just to have a second house to decorate.
Sorry for this late reply but I just stumbled upon this video. Does your FC have other players in it or is it just your 8 alts? Can you also explain more about how you use them to decorate? (I'm a sprout)
@@oldmoney1022 Other people are in it as well its an active company. Basically each character can own an apartment and a free company private room (FC apartment) upon levelling GC seal rank to 2nd lieutenant. It costs 500k per apartment and 300k per FC personal room (demolishes when you leave an FC) so because I had levelled alts I used them to get more rooms, 1 per toon and decorated them thematically because I have a passion for interior design :P
I do it primarily to experience the story through a "different perspective" and different playstyle, when I'm not being a filthy casual on my main (primarily grinding tomestones, I'm usually not courageous enough to go into extremes or savage). I just really, really love the story and it's interesting to do it with different jobs and races/aesthetics that play to a different RP concept/background. Like, what would it be like to go through Stormblood as an Ala Mhigan, or Heavensward as an Ishgardian Dragoon, or doing the Bozjan front stuff as a Hrothgar Gunbreaker etc etc. It's primarily a habit I carried over from WoW, as I prefer leveling alt jobs via a narrative/quest-driven context. It also saves me from spending money on fantasia xD I really enjoy developing an aesthetic for a character.
I forgot to add... At the moment I think I have 4 80s that I got there through the story, another 4 at 70 (most of them stopped at 4.0, working my way up to 5.0 with a Ninja alt), another 4 at 50-55 that got through 2.0. and one alt at 60 that completed 3.0 ^_^; I've spent way too much time in this game.
As a guys who prefers 1 job for his character, I have alts so I can create characters with their own stories. Each of them have a history based on their race and a reason why they chose their specific job.
@@KreuzKontrol4Kool Becasue i have some classes at 80 already. if my friend start at a new charcter and i lvl a new class with my main i will outlvl them either way since you get boosted xp for anything below your highest job. i don't want to run around with my friends being higher lvl so i make an alt to play along side them especially if they are new to the game. then i just remove older alts later when my friends are more lvled and comfortable with the game.
I have alts just because I like having a bunch of different characters. I like assigning them all different rolls. My main is a tank. I have a magic DPS alt, a physical DPS, ranged DPS. I also have alts that fit a unique equipment style. Like I have a ninja and a dragoon because their glamor is different. I currently have 6 alts at lvl80, with my main having the most classes at lvl80. One alt at lvl 68, one at 52. And one at 26. I like to give all my alts different personalities and athetics, I dont really RP. I just like making and playing character that have a different personality in my head.
I have lots of alts from before new game + was added because I love the story and want to play it over and over, heh 😅 Even have the same character on several servers...
I have alts because I enjoy the grind. I enjoy starting fresh with jobs, gatherers, and crafters. Gives me something to do. And the break from the visuals of one character to the next refreshes my brain for some reason.
i have/had alts for more intimate reasons lol. i made a male alt when i was first exploring my gender identity and i didnt want any of my friends to know about it and it was honestly one of the main things that helped me come out as a guy
YES! Same thing here. Although I like rp and having female characters, male characters helped with coming out to my friends and making me feel comfortable when gender dysphoria becomes too much.
I have an alt because my main is the FC leader and sometimes I just want to have quiet alone time to play by myself w/o interruptions. Don't get me wrong, I love my FC members and helping them is my greatest reward, but once a week or so I just want to be the noob. :)
Each of my alts have 5 retainers and can do custom delivery quests. I have a lot more space and every Tuesday I have an influx of scripts without farming. I also send my alts out to scout new Free companies when I'm looking for a new place to call home. I don't want to use my main for that. Last but not least, I like having one of each race. I make characters based on people in my life. I made an alt for my mother (RIP). She was a doctor in life and I made her a healer. Good thing is I own a FC house and used the glitch way back to make friends with all my alts.
i have multiple reasons for having alts. firstly, i have alt-itis. i love my main and could never change him, but i also like having access to other races and genders. secondly, having different lore for each character is fun! for instance, my main is from Doma, the son of a samurai who's master was Lord Hien's father. he died protecting his lord after sending his son and pregnant wife to Eorzea (the second child, my main's little brother, is another alt). my first alt female is a Doman woman who came to Eorzea with her twin sister. i have a second female alt who's a shy healer who has a "break the cutie" storyline as things go on. she's partnered with a friend of mine, which is my THIRD reason for having alts. the fourth and final reason is having characters on other servers. overall, i just enjoy and have fun with alts.
I have alts to runaway from my static, my fc, and my friends in my main server. Sometimes I just want to play alone without fc, without having to check the cwls or the fc chats, without having to tag along for treasure map hunting that I have zero interest in. My alt is my true self, a content solo player, a nobody.
Sometimes I want to play through the story again. Sometimes I just want to re-experience the early grind. Sometimes expansions change the way a job plays in major ways and I want to see how that would have worked out playing through normally. There's a big difference in actively looking for gear and getting slowly stronger and in just doing them from max level.
I made an alt because I have "finished" a chapter in my life with also included toxic friendships with ffxiv people. I just started all over on another data center, because you can't remove yourself from their friendlist and I want to leave everything I suffered from. But I still love the game and I didn't want to let ppl ruin me the awesome game. I play since 2015 but with breaks
seems all you would need to do is transfer your main to new datacenter. as your friendlist from the old world is of no use anymore obviously and thus not included in transfer service, such transfer should remove yourself from _their_ friend list ?
@@rivenoak It doesn't actually, characters who have transferred show up as (Unable to Retrieve) and they won't be removed unless the person removes them from their friends list themselves.
I currently have my main + 5 alts in the same server, and then some other alts in different datacenters. The ones in different datacenters are self-explanatory: They exist just so I can check houses and interact with people I normally wouldn't be able to with my main. The reasons why I have 5 alts in the same server as my main character are multiple, but mainly it stops me from wasting money on a Fantasia every time I want to play as something else and then going back to my usual character (which knowing myself, would add up REALLY fast). Plus the added benefit of being able to have different glamours for different occasions without messing with my current ones. I level them all up myself, so I don't spend on level boosts or story skips either. Going through all the story is basically the rite of passage of that character. If I can withstand the slog that is ARR, that character has earned the right to stay. If not, it gets deleted or fantasia'd with the free fantasias I get from creating a new character. It also helps me avoid burnout. Playing with a fully maxed character can get boring after a bit, so mixing it up with alts helps keeping things fresh. I'm patiently waiting for patch 5.3 to make another alt (this time either a Female Highlander or a Female Elezen) to go through the renovated ARR experience with some friends. Because while yes, NG+ will be a thing for ARR, you can't really check the "new and improved" leveling + MSQ experience without making an alt to see it for yourself as if you were a sprout once again.
It started innocently enough with wanting to know the different stories of the starting cities and how they differed. You couldn't just "New Game +" back then. you had to play them. So I did. Each one a different race so I could see how each one "felt". From there grew friendships and raiding and writing.. and well, now here we are.
you can't even NG+ now. It everything but 2.0. I'm still waiting on that option but I might as well just give up and make my alts for those two stories. With what SE did(or didn't) with the scion pair of gridania and me liking Admiral more, sometimes I regret starting in gridania.
I mainly have alts because I have had friends starting the game for the first time and wanted to go through the story with them. I also started playing before I had a job so I couldnt afford to get fantasia (my parents paid the subscription) and I liked making other characters
World of Warcraft outright killed any desire I had to make same-server alts, the ability to play all jobs (and just have EVERYTHING in one place) on the same character is one of the things that sold me on FFXIV :)
@@TheColeTruth think it's because i don't like having to accomplish something like a meta-achievement (like the "glory of the X raider" WoW achievements) over and over.
I have alts because even with max retainers I still don't have enough space for all my glamour items and crafting items (i'm a horder) for each class. lol. So I divided the classes i want to play among 4 alts. :D
I play alts because i like playing through the story again with nothing unlocked and no perks, 100% fresh. i find it enjoyable. I will also sometimes do it with different role play characters in mind.
I started creating alts when I ran out of content in 1.0. I leveled everything on my main I had the patience for (cul, alch and fisher were a major pain back then, lol) so I leveled another character and went through the story again. As we progressed in the game and got maps I thought, hey...I could get more than one map per day if I had more than one character that could mine or harvest. Now I usually have enough maps where all my friends are yelling, STOP sending me maps!! XD I think I'm currently sitting on almost 40. LMAO! Plus, I love the character creator...I admit it, I'm an altaholic!
I use alt for Fc room since a regular house can't have multiple room. I can have one make a room for a library, Kitchen, bedroom, office, etc. It takes time to get them all there but it's fun. It also makes the house feel bigger then it is.
I make alts as I can never stick to one character and race. Also having characters across different data centers is good for attending various in game events such as Bard concerts. What would be handy is if the game would let you mail stuff to an alt, rather than having to trade it in game and have it traded back to the alt. Overall having a couple of accounts and realising the game is't' entirely alt friendly, as if you log on ps4 and run a char on pc through a dungeon unsynched gains no exp.
I feel that the sprout falls off way too soon.. so I make a new character if I want to try out healing or tanking for the first time.. it's easier that people can see I am new. Also I would rather make an alt to do the story again where I actually get gill and items than game+ where you get nothing.
I have several alts in the server I'm in, some were made for RP reasons... some others were made for storage reasons, specially to keep a lot of the event housing items that take a looooot of inventory space. With retainers comes another nice extra help wich is having extra gathering retainers that always are handy to get some basic stuff, like soil for the garden, shards, metals, wood, etc. Also more space to sell stuff if you like running maps often for example. Some people also have alts to be in different FCs or be in contact with another group of people, wich is totally fine. Also a big reasons for me is housing, I'm a big housing enthusiast and with each character you can get 1 FC room and 1 apartment, wich also have their own storage space as I said before to keep some items in there.
I have alts for 2 reasons. One is to practice my japanese on a japanese server with actual japanese people. Second one is because I love doing housing and I use them to do additional rooms in my FC house xD
Why I have alts on the same server/data center: 1. All jobs on one character is great, until you realize you get one lockout/cap per character. So those other jobs you have to either have always behind, and you are effectively done with character progression in a day. 2. Different races for different jobs (and lockouts) to give you more variety and flavor. 3. Things to do past Tuesday.
All of those reasons amount to "I want to grind this game and do the bosses multiple times each week instead of playing other games/taking care of real life". If someone can't get enough of FFXIV, why not do something like The Feast PvP grinding for ranking and gear and mounts, if constantly grinding / playing FFXIV itself is the appeal.
Yeah I have alts for friends :) Me and my boyfriend are on Aether, Adamantoise!(My main) My other friend is from Crystal, Goblin, so I have an alt there. Then I have one more on Light, Zodiark just to talk to people not near me ! I love being around new people and people who have a different culture then me ! It's a lot of fun :)
Most people I know use Alts for raiding, after week 1 clear, week 2 reclear you can do split runs to get multiple clears worth of 2 chests funneling it into the Mains so the whole party gets max IL week 2/3
I have my "main" that has all classes maxed I use for day to day playing and raiding then I have a couple of alts on different servers to play on my own and relax when I just want to potter around on my own and not get involved in FC stuff.
I find it very funny that people cant hold on to there gil . While im over here like humm that a bit pricey i could just go farm it my self .. im to stingy XD
I have alts because that's how I've played most MMOs, so I like to do it even if I don't have to, every chars5has a different personality, I don't even RP, I played mostly solo but I like to have alts that do different things
I created my alts because I wanted to experience the game as different races. My main is a hyur, and I vowed when I started playing that I’d only have one character, but as I went on, I wanted to be able to play as a lala, and so my first alt, Phoenix was born. Shortly after, I made a cat boi alt as well. Also, playing on an alt was the only way, til recently, of revisiting the story. I’ve enjoyed playing through story again with the benefit of hindsight. I made a couple new alts recently, one of which I made go to a wedding@which wound-up not happening), and one on a different data centre so I could hang out with friends there.
I have alts because sometimes I just get... bored looking at the same character model. And I'm not going to buy a vial of phantasia or whatever it is every time that happens.
I story skipped to catch up with my fc mates, and when I got more into the game and decided I wanted to actually learn the story and lore, i made an alt for me to play on when no one else is online or if I want some time to chill by myself and see the full story :)
I made an alt to get the level 1 crafter ring since the only way to get it is to answer with a specific choice in the cutscene on the carriage ride at the start of the game. (Or pay an exorbitant amount of gil to buy it off the market board from someone who made that choice themselves)
I have several alts on the same server. One of the main reasons for me is that I want to be able to freely test other roles/jobs in savage, without tarnishing my fflogs. I know this is a very niche reason, but it is one that is quite common amongst my friends
Having watched the video and read the comments, one of the main reasons I have seen alts (and I have one myself) is raiding! You can only raid once a week to get loot and that's it, alot of people do it quickly in a day or 2 so there's nothing further than that. That's why alot of alts are for raiding.
im a new player and i already play 12 jobs simultaneously, you cant just play 1, you can switch between them by pressing a single button, and also it makes you a better player, for example if your tanking, you will realize what to do better after you play some healers and ninjas/monks, you realize what they do and how to help them by not turning the boss, by keeping the boss in their AoEs etc. Also its useful for example in cities when going to find a NPC just switch to ranged physical dps and apply speed buff and then switch back to hand in quest etc. FF XIV is the most alt-friendly mmo i have ever played :)
That used to be part of the old cross class system. In order to become a Warrior, you had to level up Paladin and Monk, and In order to be a Paladin you had to level up Warrior and White Mage. Because as a tank player it is kinda integral for you to know things about melees and healers.
Something you didn't mention that's a common reason is due to the savage loot system. A lot of my friends in the raiding community have alts so they can do reclears with their static on their main, but still help their non-static friends on their alts without affecting their loot.
A simple reason replay the jobs story quests. for a lore person like me, replaying them after you get to know better the world in the game is quite rewarding
I have alts because i enjoy the levelling process and its nice to go back to the start of 2.0 where it isnt all world in peril stuff, we're just adventurers doing jobs for people and its a nice chilled experience and its particularly satisfying nowadays with how quickly you level, you can be level 30 by the time you leave your starting city on preferred servers for example. Another reason is if i want to learn a new job, i find it easier to learn how a job works through story quests rather than jumping into dungeons all the time, and it gives me time to get hotbars sorted etc. and then i might copy that over to my main once its levelled if im enjoying the job.
Not that I even do it all that often, but having 5 characters on the same server all with capped gathering (and crafting) can be useful for speeding up timed node collections when you want a load of stuff from one of them. Also, you get more shots at the weekly rewards from stuff like Wondrous Tails, Custom deliveries, etc.
I have alts for a change of scenery while running around. There's only so many times I can stare at the same butt before I need a change. Plus I like the variety and for me it's kind of cathartic to start fresh and have a sense of progression after you've reached so far with your main. On a side note: is there any way to exceed the 8 character per server limit? I have two alts on a different server from my primary and I'd like to transfer them but I've already got 8 on my primary.
Alt for me is for glamour on different gender and to raiding at stArt of a raid teir or expansion can do for and healer and and fair in pf and a static without messing up the loot pool for the static for a fight it you clear with out them, also for crafting specialist items since you can only have 3 per character and of course rp is also another reason my alt is on the sAme server
I have sooo many ideas for different characters. OC and NPC so I have almost 20 characters across the servers. x.x (more OCs than NPCs that is) I have my main(s) on Zodiark and a "other timeline alt" of my main on Balmung. On Zodiark I have 8 characters for RP and non RP reasons (RP, not ERP) One for example os more Hingashi themed, some others Ishgard based or Garlean. 😊 Oh and the retainer thing is a good point too!
because fantasias cost money. also imagine in real life, being black but waking up white the next day. strange huh? also different datacenters. glamours look a bit different on different races (everything looks cute on miqote and au ra because theyre tiny, elezen have broad shoulders)
I have a few alts, because I'm crazy lol - Well, in truth, my "main" is a Lalafell, and it really has to be said that while the game's armor is a spectacle to look at.. being a short stumpy potato kind of lessens the experience. I don't role play per say, but this character has a personality to him, and I can't seem to make him into any other job outside of most of the magic based jobs and be satisfied.. and I want to play other jobs! Just not on a Lala. Whatcha-gunna-do *shrug* Granted, the alts will not have all the unlocks or all the emotes or any of that stuff. I don't go that crazy. I don't even plan on taking my alts all that seriously.. I just come up with glamour and things that just wouldn't work on my smart ass Lala.
I primarily use my alts as additional storage. Why spend an extra $2 on a single retainer when i can spend like an extra $3 to have 7 other characters with saddlebags, inventory, and their own retainers. Plus i just like running around as different looking characters.
RPer at heart and there are some jobs that I couldn't see my main doing. But I want to try all jobs so I make an alt whose character would do different jobs. I have 4 characters total that I have every job covered, and I think it won't matter what new jobs are announced one of those alts will be able to play it.
I have alts just cuz i like character creation in games. But with ffxiv after ive made 4 characters. It took a couple years to realize that put together they make up a light party. Tank, healer, 2 dps. And with that i have characters i can use for an original ffxiv story i may write.
I have over 20 Characters in FFXIV, because I just have so many Character Ideas that Fantasia aren't even an Option. At this Time I'm a bit Tired of making New Character, so much so that I created David Bowie as an Retainer! Though my Main Reason would be Glamour and slight rp influences, having a Story for the Character and playing the MSQ. Currently I'm waiting for 5.3 for the 2.0 revamp to play 2 other characters+ I'm curious how they wanna revamp it since yes 2.0 is huge but also does it build up so many things^^
I have 3 characters. Made on on 2.0 beta. Played it to 50 and beat the msq. In 2.0 there wasn’t much to do.. no roulettes, no raids or crystal towers.. yeah. Maybe there was coil? But I was a total newb and was NOT touching that. Plus the weekly cap on tomes. (Shout outs to speed running wanderers palace over and over in one day!) was annoying. So my main being a WAR tank, I wanted an alt that was a healer. So, I made my first alt. Fast forward to 2.2ish and my two best friends want to join, but they want me to “not be a cheater” and start over with them! Ugh ok ok. So there is alt number 3, my Dragoon! I DID have a 4th alt for a bit.. had a gf who wanted to play, but that relationship ended mid Heavensward and this so do that character! So yeah, my main does everything. Alt 1 is magical and ranged.(though I want that amaro... hmm) and Alt 2 is tanks and melees. Also having three miners/botanists and 5 retainers PER alt is very handy. Fun story, I♥️y if you read all this. Bye bye.
I just get sick of my character's appearance and just changing hairstyle isnt enough, so then i create a new one with in a different "base" and play until i get sick again, and the cicle goes on. Thats why i never managed to get max lvl. Lol
Well, I always have at lest 2 gender chracters in any MMO I've played (male and female). So I don't bother to start over from level 1 character. Sometimes people get bored too. So Instead playing other game, why don't just fresh start the game you love most? Too bad that FFXIV just not "alt friendly" because you can't share items to your alt (the only way is a friend hold it for you or sell it in marketboard), the important thing I would love is glamour sharing. Other than that is not a big problem for me. But eh, getting items in this game is easy and you can get backup financial from your main character, it will take faster too since we already know all game mechanics.
In the raiding community, people might have alts if they want to raid multiple times, I don't see this much now, but back in the days of the Binding Coil there was definitely a lockout after completing a Turn. Back when I played World of Warcraft, I would make a lot of alts - mainly for the purpose of playing different classes. FFXIV cured me of this disease as I can have all jobs/classes on a single character.
The fact that you aren't encouraged to have alts in FF14 is a turn off for me. Variety with playing different races and characters keeps things interesting and fresh
My Idol character won’t work as Warrior or a Dragoon. Same as my Bunny Girl samurai won’t work as an Astrologian or a Dark Knight. I am honestly missing a TRP function to flesh out their stories a little bit, and I had a lot of fun playing with that on WoW. Wish FF14 had something similar, it would be a lot of fun
I have 4 characters, my main male Miqo'te, love him to death i do whatever i want with him , total freedom, my second a male Viera gonna go through all msq again but not skipping anything, like anything, job quests, all storyline quests, msq quests, etc etc, gonna really dedidcate myself to the story with taht cahr, then i have a male Lalafell and a male Au Ra which i used to join two different FCs cause the FC in my main is small and sometimes can get a little boring. Have 4 cause i realized those are the onlye races I really like, or that I could make it work and llok how I wanted to for a char.
i have Alts for a couple of reasons: Sometimes i just want to chill and not chatting with anyone and i don't want to buy additional retainers for my main, so i have Alts (my Husband sends me my stuff). Also i like to play various jobs with different characters and i stick to the naming convention, so i don't use Fantasia and even though i don't RP it bothers me having a Hyur with a Roegadyn Name and so on.
I have alts so that I can play different races without spending a ton on fantasias. Feel like being a lala for a bit? Got an alt for that. Wanna be a miqo'te for a week? Got an alt for that.
I make alts because I want to play as a different race and I'm too cheap to buy Fantasias. But it's something I cannot do on an Entry subscription (only 1 active character at a time). I also make alts to relive the MSQ. I have a separate free trial account that I play when I don't have an active FFXIV subscription.
I'm a roleplayer. So I have alts for plot purposes. But, I also enjoy splitting my raiding main from my crafting/gathering main. When I'm on my crafting and gathering main there's no temptation to drop what I'm doing, and vice versa.
Some people will create a lot of alts for various reasons, myself I have a habit of making many alts in the various games I've played. There is a WoW streamer named Desmesphito who admits to having 50 characters that are all warriors across 2 accounts. Note that one of those accounts have a limit of 50 characters across all servers.
I like making characters so I have the maximum amount allowed. I know its excessive they're all over 30 so they can do the summer event and a few over 50. They're mostly for events n Cactpots though.
The only reason I have an alt is raiding. I usually prog on my main but as soon as something is down I pf on a different class with my alt. Usually I pick a class that I might want to swap to soon, as I switch classes almost every raid tier. The alt as it keeps being reasonably high geared that way can then also be used to jump into weekly prog groups for friends should they need someone.
its too tough road to have alts in that game, coz almost all of achievements and items are NOT account-wide. So u must gather them again for another toon every time when u create the new one. the worst thing of them is the flags of the Main Story Quests, coz they are too much boring. Just play the trial kits for hours, and u will know how awful this game is.
I have alts for the purpose of RP. I want it as realistic as possible. From an RP standpoint, you are NOT the warrior of light who has the power to do everything at once and be everything at once. That's something that's not feasible or realistic. Alts make it easier to spread the love to make it more realistic for me.
I have like lots of alt on certain server is because I like to create characters aesthetic, personality, different race and not just that they are helpful for inventory item hold if in same fc. I main an male au ra but don't do rp on my main mostly content base. Rp wise I use alt cause it's easier and great to keep yourself a secret.
