In this video we show the steps involved in correctly assembling the pre-assembled shocks on our FG EVO 2020 kit! Bleeding the shocks of air and putting the right amount of oil in each shock is critical to peak performance of your RC. While we specifically are building the shocks of the EVO these practices are useful for shocks of any brand or type you can find on your RC Car.

The vehicle is beautiful and I'm extremely interested in the hobby. I AM A BEGINNER! Does this vehicle only come in 2WD? I look forward to more step by step videos on the set up...

The FG EVO is only available in 2WD. The Sportsline 4WD Models from FG are a much better place to start! They are much easier to drive and they are ready to run.

Love watching this collection of vids on the 2020. not much out there on this model. I want to say that the diaphragm should be installed down (as you have), but with the shock shaft in the extended position. This will allow the diaphragm to compress when the shaft moves into the shock body. the way it is now, when the shock is extended, the diaphragm will be trying to stretch out under stress all the time even when the car is a rest. If the engineers at FG did it right, the volume displaced by the diaphragm from relaxed to compressed should the the same volume as the shaft entering the body at full compression. My thoughts anyway. Wish I had a model like this. Awesome.

Just asking but dose it really effect performance that much if u don’t get the bubbles all out 🤷‍♂️

That is a great question. The answer is yes! Air in your shocks is not good for consistent damping action. Additionally if your shocks are not filled you will also have a challenging time getting all of the shocks to behave exactly the same resulting in poor handling of your car!
