IMO oberon is the highest priority summon gameplaywise this year for 2 main reasons. 1. You can run 90++ with double castoria teams with plugsuit oberon, you cant run 90++ with double koyanskaya without oberon. 2. Banners. Morgan has 4 banners, Melusine has 3, koyanskaya has 2 in the time before Oberons first rerun banner.
Honestly, Oberon's S3 is just fine even with that huge demerit it forces on the selected Servant. As Oni said, Oberon is brought in very last (of your support Servants who provide buffs) to help your main DPS burst down the enemy on the final turn needed. Other than that, you don't need to use it immediately, he has class advantage over four classes (Alter Egos, Sabers, Archers and Lancers) excluding Zerkers who all but Shielders do more damage to and his NP alone is incredibly strong and useful.
I personally love the character a lot so I wish he would've been more of a classic DPS than a last turn support but that probably won't stop me from grailing him to 100 and using him as a DPS even at NP1.
Light Vich is pretty much what you need for a Buster loop team, but Oberon can be appended to any previous Arts and Quick looper teams, so that pretty much sums up what it means to prioritize either one over the other.
Hey I just wanna make sure people are aware that his next CONFIRMED rate up is 18 MONTHS AWAY!!!! While Koyans is only 6, I recommend going for both but if you miss Oberon you’ll be outa luck for over a year. If you can, go for both. but if you have to go for one I’d say prioritize Him first due to how much less time Koyan has in between rate ups. And if you still decide to skip him with this in mind that’s fine I feel like this is important knowledge to keep in mind though when rolling. Great vid love the breakdown ❤
Hey man, need some suggestions regarding who should i priorities I have both skadi and dantes for quick looping, castoria and Musashi for arts, and for buster i have Ishtar (regular one) and Gilgamesh and I'm planning to grab artoria too with the ticket So are these units enough for buster farming or should i go for Oberon for that universal damage mod
@tsumukarimuramasa7407 with vitch, ishtar can buster farm if she has her battery maxed and a 50% ce. All you really need is a waver(or someone with a targetable 50% battery) for turn 3 to fill the last 50%. Oberon helps with damage tho and makes it easier to use units with 30% batteries.
Well, she actually still waiting for her charge buff. Not much you can do with 20% battery. But as someone with NP3 Gojuna i can confirm - omnifarming team with Koyaberon feels amazing.
One intersting use for him in CQs is battery taunter - meaning you use his s3 on himself for taunt demerit, not damage. It may seem wasteful but a lot of bosses have relatively small break bars meaning a lot of his damage boosting is wasted, so instead you can use his s2 to loop and crit reliably and rotate him out. Works especially well if boss uses NP on break.

I want, no I NEED to summon Oberon! I love "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the moment they revealed Oberon I knew I had to summon him. He's also great in Lostbelt 6 and the fact that he is a Top Tier support is just the icing on the cake. He is the Fourth servant that I consider to truly be EX rank. I cannot wait for his banner to drop. I am also totally going to do Oberon DPS memes, the True way he was meant to fight.
Such a unique effect he has on his 3rd skill boosting np damage buffs which is great especially for spisthar black grail. He also works quite well as a good buster looper if you lack others.
It's crazy that we're getting both Oberon and Koyan before the Nerofest rerun. I can't wait to see the crazy numbers pumped out on the challenge quests.

He’s already been helping me catch up to LB6 (just finally started it), and I can’t even say how happy I am his S1’s charge doesn’t scale with level. I still haven’t been able to upgrade Melusine’s S1 all the way, but decided to level Oberon’s S2 first when I had the chance. Buster Looping is just so much more stable with Oberon.
Thanks for the review, I needed this one more than most. Not sure what I'll do. I'm a GSSR only whale so I am limited on my party comps. I've had some good luck to pull most the meta servants by saving quarts. I think I have a place for him on my teams. But I wonder if I'd ever use him considering how I usually don't go hard for the challenge loops. I think ill still pull for him, at the very least I love his character and design.
Man I started FGO when muramasa banner came out and I've sooo damn lucky since then, I've managed to get muramasa, Morgan , koyonskaya and now Oberon without spending a single dollar.

Absolutely must roll pushes that heavily invested NP1 dps to really respectable levels. Also side note go hear his theme from the live performance last year's JP anni event arguably the greatest musical performance I've ever seen live
I'm split right now. My biggest aim for the year is Koyan, but Oberon is extremely appealing with his universal use. I could wait for Koyanskaya's next rate up, but I plan on super saving for a certain mother and a beast whose rate ups are right next to each other.
Because of his heavy demerits, in his gameplay, I had wondered if Oberon deserved being placed on the EX rank in the FGO gamepress before his official release in the NA server. Thanks for making this video, glad to see you are healthy.
I think CE for recommendation you should include Black Grail too since he can farm with 0 np starting and actually a competent farmer too especially mixed node knight + berserker class. Aside from that, great review!
Rolling for you as a 90++ insurance since Castoria looping Senji does just fine for farming & the Lover's Quarrel setup of Morgan,Memelin,& also Castoria is what I'd use when big numbers and bigger durability is a necessity.
Like, Oberon is just THE BOY, pulling entirely just cuz his drip is immaculate, both in his first ascensions AND the last one and yes, I'll be attacking and NPing with him, I will not let those cool ass animations go to waste, who cares about Morgan?!? Who cares about Jail Bait Lancelot?!? Waifu? Which one is it in LB6? There is only one Lancer in the game and it's Ereshkigal, there are a lot of berserkers in the game but only one says "Oh Yeah!! Sexy!!" And in turn there is only one Fairy in LB6 and it's Oberon... Now if Woodwoose were playable I would be inclined to change my mind (drip wise). Finally, will do 1 or 2 ten pulls for Vitch cuz Tamamo team is the dream but that's that.
As I’m typing this now, I have a total of 1536 quartz saved up. That includes regular quartz, tickets, and fragments. With the quartz we’ll be getting for this anniversary and all the free quest I have yet to do, I’ll most likely will have enough for one copy of Koyan and Oberon if I had to hit pity for both. Just hope I can scrape up enough QP by then (and bullets for Koyan)
Funny enough I use end of the dream most often with Arash. With my current story party, Arash rocking Ariel drive boosted end of dreams is pretty much always a wave 1 clear. I love how versatile and fun Oberon is to use like such
I lost my main acc i spent yrs farming so i decided to to just make alt accs and get morgan as my first 5*, but after i saw this dudes skills i knew id be set on support, so (after about 15 or so alts) ill be restarting my fgo journey with Oberon as my main support unit. As usual thanks soberoni for being a chad explaining servants and how to use them wisely.
I'll definitely try to get both Vitch and Oberon. While i did miss some of the better buster Servants (Melusine, Morgan and big snek), i still have an Artoria and Summer Nero to rock with. And if that fails, guess my trusty paper cutout still does the trick with Castoria. x)
I barely care about his actual value to gameplay. I'm gonna grail him, bond him, and use him for everything for no reason other than I fucking love his design and story
I will dispute one thing though regarding Oberon's command codes, there are 2 I consider to be kinda good on him - the 2 da vinci NP damage up codes. The one that gives the party NP damage up can be great since Oberon can double its effectiveness, and the one that gives only him NP damage up can be useful if you want Oberon to NP since he is an extremely rare case of a servant where you want his damaging NP to be the last thing that happens in a turn since he does give the enemy team invul.
Woah woah, hang on buddy! No command codes for Oberon? Bruh, the reason you didn't reach those 7M on Melusine is because you didn't equip Oberon with Rider DaVinci command code to give an additional 5% NP boost to all the party members :) On JP I have him with command codes that either boost NP, crit damage, gain stars when attacking or remove defensive buffs, I have seen other people equip on him command codes that pierce Invincibility but i don't think thats a good idea myself.
_This is not even a difficult question._ 😊 Light Koyanskaya will have her next Rate Up in just 6 months from now. Meanwhile, Oberon's next Rate Up is a whooping *18 months* away! A WHOLE YEAR AND A HALF! On top of that, asfar as Main Story relevance goes, he naturally takes priority over everyone else. Plus, I really wanna reunite sensei and student (Oberon and Castoria). So, yeah. 😕 For better of worse, Raven Chihuahua and her customized Armored Core will have to wait another time. EDIT: By the way, question. Will you also make a video on Habetrot in the future? :3

I'm going to put this guy to work! His crazy support skillset will be handy! Still got enough after my NP5 Melusine party to pretty safely get him and Vitch. And those two will get in line and unleash her power to maximum levels! I'm just hyped for the shear insanity. NP5, level 120 Melusine just powered up to full capacity with a fully leveled MLB Black Grail. Let the enemies burn! I'm trying not to laugh maniacally. Might not be succeeding here!
If you're debating, just remember this, Oberon's next banner is more than a year away. The next time you'll be able to roll for him will be at the end of next year if you missed him now, while Koyan will have another banner in the new year.
As a F2P I personally think that Oberon's appeal is mainly his personnality, art and theme because he is less useful than the other supports in general. But that won't stop me from making him my priority.
Yup ill also be going for oberon since migrating from arts to buster is not cheap so i can also use him for arts and also double oberon system works even if not that effective like koyan

Well, coming back to this after getting the Sus butterfly/moth man himself, in less than 200 SQ, and after the 2 rate-up failures on JP, I'm so glad I finally have him under my Chaldea, bless the cursed pretender. Feels good man.
As the first Pretender-Class servant with big steroids and high batteries on good cooldowns, it's outright incorrect to say that he's pigeonholed into a support role-- especially given he's the only buster-loopable pretender until Dragon Eliza-- and she needs superscope. His cooldowns allow him to Black Grail loop and hit some pretty insane numbers. Considering that the only other servants who can currently BG loop are currently Caster Cu Chulainn and Melusine, he's a perfectly strong buster farmer in his own right and does both great.
2:47 I see we are back to "twin arm big church";territory. WRY rhyme Goodfellow. The only real bad thing about Oberon's 3d skill is thats it only has a buster buff. I think a 30% all card buff would be better. Oh and, the mention of vitch should also include the fact that he is basically necessary for most buster farmers who want to use black grail, that being a problem with buster farming: you need 2 5* star units for it to work and do the necessary damage
The guy is stated that he's the only one up to that point to be the one being that Olga won't have a chance to defeat which already puts him at a league far beyond any Lostbelt Kings in the game (like Morgan and Zeus) and is the only thing that can make Morgan feel fear for more than 1 Reason. Kind of a shame that his Passive punish people that tried to play him with Merlin
I was doing lostbelt 5 when the day reset came and was surprised to see Oberon on the list of servants story while downloading resources and look at banners and got him on 20th pull(22th) now I have a NP3 Oberon
Got two vitches when they come out and got Oberon a few minutes ago and in my personal opinion he ruined the color white in his saint graph but made the color black stand out more
such mixed feelings where Koyan wouldn't come home even after spending all my quartz, but Oberon just came over off of a single leftover paid quartz roll
I refute your statement about Koyan being more new player friendly than Oberon with this: Not a single f2p Servant works with Koyanskaya. Not a single f2p Servant has a >=50% battery (Cu Caster's battery is LB locked), newbies have no access to Kscope unless lucksack, and newbies have no access to lores, minimum 3 (Koyan S1, DPS Append 2, DPS battery).
For masters who want both koyanskaya and Oberon just use 150 sq for koyanskaya and if u don't get her use the rest for Oberon who have around 1000sq because koyanskaya will come back on Jan whereas Oberon will be 2 years❤❤❤
It is kinda funky how he specifically gets in the way of Merlin, meaning that one of the best buster supports in the game can't work with him. I like my Merlin, so for that reason alone I'll probably go for Vitch instead of Oberon. Kind of a shame because he has a cool look.

Planned to roll for the ludicrous damage. Ended up rolling because I fell in love with him in the story. Seems like I can be his Titania, seeing as he came in 90SQ... and two copies on the same roll, no less.
Nice job. I had my best luck with him so far. I had to pity Morgan to get her but Oberon came to me with only 1 saint quart! Using the daily pull actually worked I was shocked. I guess we both formed a bond with oberon during lostbelt 6. I was able to get koyanskaya with 150 quartz & Melusine with 350 quartz. I cant believe I actually managed to get them all, im so relieved
@@frankmarano1118 That is some truly amazing luck to get them all in one go. Admittedly I only committed a single 10-roll to Morgan's banner. I stopped because it got me two Barghests. After the story, I'm putting more into Morgan's rerun. Hopefully Baohban Sith comes too. After that... whenever Melusine is on rateup. They're really so tempting. It's all a tall order, but at least with both the fox and the moth, my busters are racking up stupid damage. Now I just have to figure out how to do a Black Grail build. With a lv 100 kaleidoscope, I'm doing six digits with NP1 Arjuna, it's crazy.
My favorite sussy mothman that I love to bully~ Put out my wallet for him to NP2 him on his first rate up and I don't regret it! NP2 does come in handy too since sometimes I need him to hit a low hp mob team for some 90++ nodes in JP, especially for a few recent events this year. His biggest asset is definitely supporting all card types and not just buster: he just works even better with Buster.
For me I'm going for him because his story is arguably the best I've seen from this game. His theme is amazing and his card art is heartbreaking alongside his bond CE. I hope unlike koyan I don't have to invest a ton of sq
I won't say who is better and who you should go for. Just remember, Oberon next banner after the first one, is in 18 months, while Koyan is in 6 months, in january. In case you want both, maybe you should consider that.
Yeah. Oberon!!! I will probably roll for him and koyanskaya on the same day (1 week after the anniv) or roll for koyan first and Oberon 1 week after the anniv
