Fiamma F45S 260 cm Awning Installation on Clipper Tent Trailer 

Tim, I guess it depends on what's on the exterior and inside sides of the trailer already. With both the Dutchmen and the Clipper, I played with both types of brackets and concluded that I needed to use the special adaptor because of obstructions (e.g. lift mechanism bolts), I wanted to not remove the existing awning track, and I wanted to take advantage of the strength in the existing awning track. With the Dutchmen, as you can see in the other video, I added another short piece of awning track for extra strength. Using the adaptor makes it stick out a bit further. I am now using 9 feet x Rain Guard M 03477-01-Rain Guard M (per ft.) from Fiamma to limit water dripping down. This year was the first time we really tested the new system and I am impressed with the awning. I've bought the optional ridge pole (tension rafter) but not tested it yet.

@@StephenBiss Thank You for your response, I agree with the C channel but was a little concerned that it is only being held on to the adapter with three screws which would have a lot of mechanical stress with any bumps on the road. The wall adapter has a shelf to rest on in addition to the screw on the bottom to hold it in place. We will see once the Awning arrives and I can evaluate the method of install better. I was able to order my awning directly from Canada from a shop in Quebec and I have located the brackets you mentioned as well from the UK or from a dealer in the US. I am also considering the rafter you mention to help with any pooling. Let me know if you want me keep you posted or not with the Rockwood (maybe I should do a video LOL). I saw the Fiamma on a Trailmanor trailer and got intrigued and did exactly what you said and googled if it had been done on a pop up and came across your two videos. I was also surprised to see on the wind-up campers as they are called in Australia instead of pop-ups, they are quite standard, makes you wonder why not here.
