I reckon a grand is probably about right for that job , no idea what you charge an hour . A garage would definitely be a couple of grand. Definitely worth quoting them first even for friends. Loving the Defender build so far.

People’s expectations are unrealistic on working on older vehicles broken bolts and everything else that you mentioned are all time consuming as he will no doubt realise when doing those repairs on the two sump guard bolts. Are you going to spray the dash body colour and if so inside and out, I think it would look good 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏻
