We just started splicing mainline fiber in our town. I came from the copper side of things so this was quite helpful.

Using same Miller tool for cheesing the tubes, I would admit more pressure when there is thousands of live customers depended of those fiber strands doing daytime service work. Your videos is the ones we need more of to show new ppl how some more special operation is done. Of course much easier todo a none mid span, but there is much approval to certain lines to make that hapen.

Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it🙌 yes if I am doing large live cut overs with lots of customers on the fibers then we wait to cut it over at night. Lots more videos to come this year glad you enjoy them

I think you could expose the rip cord not in the middle but in one side, and then pull the rip cord all the 10 feets to the other side, any downside doing it that way?
@fibersplicegod
@fibersplicegod 5 месяцев назад
Hey thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate it. Yes great question my theory on exposing the rip cord in the middle verses on the side is if there is a mistake made and a Fiber gets cut or broken then at least it’s in the middle so you will have enough room to splice it back together if you expose the rip cord on the side and break a Fiber you will not have any room to fix it and will have to start over.

Nice vid . Can you do one on a higher count fiber . How to untangle the tubes? Thanks
@fibersplicegod
@fibersplicegod Год назад
Yea for sure thanks for watching I will do a higher count cable video this week 🙌
@Eatabagofahunniddicks
@Eatabagofahunniddicks Год назад
Yea this is the easiest way to access it but unless you find your proper centers and transition points you are always gonna have tangled and trapped buffer tubes doing it this way
@fibersplicegod
@fibersplicegod Год назад
Yea with smaller cables it’s no problem but your right as soon as you get into bigger cables 144f, 288f it can be a little bit of a issue but I’ve done both ways for years and in reality there will always be some tubes crossing a little entering to tray just is what it is. Finding the helix for the direct centre to open the cable up is just a waist of time and effort is what I have found over the years

Hi How do you remove little tube parts that the yellow tool didnt remove ...😂 It happened to me and all got gell and sleepery😂
@fibersplicegod
@fibersplicegod 3 месяца назад
Great question be sure to use the correct slot on the tool to ensure it strips it properly. You can use some Degel solution to remove the gel and then go over again with the tool very carefully. If it is a very thin layer you can pull the tube tight with tensile tension on the fiber and pull them through the spots that didn’t strip all the way. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it

Hello, owner of the channel "fiber spliser god". I have a long time and I follow your videos. I like the way you work individually and do everything on your own and your perseverance as well. Anyway, I want to ask a favor that I am sure you will do for me. In my graduation, I will display the rollable ribbon technology, and this technology is not available in my country, Algeria, so I want you to sell me a small piece of cable (5-10 m) if you have it, and I am in dire need . I am waiting for your responses in the possibility of selling and thanks

Hi, bro very good work indeed. I am from Afghanistan and currently residing in Afghanistan. I am looking for an opportunity in Canada. I have been working in the field of fiber optics since 2013. Can you help in this regard

Most expensive tool I can see here are your hands. Never ever use a knife pulling towards your hands , it should be pushing away from you. Safety first.
