I'm in LOVE with this plant! 😍I bought one last year at my local nursery in a 6 inch pot for only $8 without even knowing the deal I was getting. I just knew I'd never heard or seen of such a ficus and HAD to have it in my collection. I would have easily paid up for it if I needed to. I'm already a ficus fan but something about this plant will make me forever own one. Thank you for always providing us with helpful information!!😁
Gorgeous! Thanks for the tips. So excited as I got a killer deal yesterday on one that is about a foot tall and super healthy-looking. It didn’t have a price tag and was the only one, so they gave it to me for four bucks!
A tip to make it more bushy: make slight cuts with a sterilezed razor on its trunk when you see it becomes one branch plant. From the cuts will spring out new leaves and brunches.
Very beautiful plant. These were $29.99 at my local grocery store. No one touched them because the plants were like cuttings and for that price. I waited til clearance and am so glad I got them. Bought 2 which I had to cut down to 2-3 leaves once home due to not being in the greatest health. I replanted the same day watered and put them under a grow light they both put out a new leaf within a month. 😊
Great Vidio. Answered alot of my questions. I thought you were in the UK but you have a slight accent and not totally English so was unsure. Brilliant too have someone also growing in UK who gives great advice. Thanks XSarah.Devon.
I've honestly found them fairly similar in care, but I like the shivereana variegation more... you'd think it would the other way round because I'm not usually a fan of yellow/lime leaves but this one is just 😍
Arizona, mine is outdoors on a covered patio. It almost died being inside, so as a last resort I put it outside. It loves the outdoors. I cut it back because it gets out of control even in a pot. I’m limited on space and how many plants I can have, so no lush mini-jungle for me.
I bought mine in August 22 but it hasn't done anything since I brought it home. Should I put it in a prop box or maybe my heat mat under grow lights? it is currently in front of a window, so gets indirect light all day. I dont water unless my water metre thingy says its dry. I would expect it to go dormant in winter but sep to nov have been pretty mild. Any tips anyone?
@juliehollandblubookkeeping8027 ~ It's been awhile since you posted this comment, but how's your plant doing now? I know that Ficus get stressed out faster and more easily than other plants, so that could account for no new growth for awhile after bringing it home, but what about feed? I don't know if you're a new "plant parent" or not, but a lot of newbies either don't know about, or forget, about their plants needing feed.
@@TinyHyena1967 Oh its doing really well now. I have it on a heat mat under grow lights and have feed in my water all year. Its a thirsty plant for me so its getting water a couple of times a week. It is putting out new leaves monthly now, almost contunually has a new leaf growing. I love it. Thanks for asking. Do you have one? hows yours doing?
They just zoom in on it. Really decieving and unfair. Ive been caught out like this many a time. I try to look for reviews which include photos on Amazon now and compare photos.
