This is a quick little mod you can do to your boat so you can mount your transducer and be able to remove it when ever you like to use on another boat or kayak very easily.

walmart sells trolling motor batteries they will run you about $100 for one just got to the automotive department and ask for one. And I would suggest a minnkota 55lb thrust will run you about $250 to $300 you can find them at bass pro shops or cabelas and you can order one on line from them. that would be the cheapest way to go.

@@kevinf4606 Sorry but I do not know that as I just throw mine in the back of my truck and back up to were I want to launch it then pull it off and push it in the water.

just remember to put silicone in the drilled holes and around the whole piece to water seal it tight so you have no leaks! but it works great for me I swap my fish finder from my boat to my kayak in less then a minute!

@@Dinonuggets90 you only need to register it if you are going to put a motor on it? so if you want to run a trolling motor yes all you need to do is get it registered.

Hey where did you get that arm and mount and also what did you find to be the best screws to get a good hold to the plastic

I got the arm and mount at field and stream as far as screw's I just chose a screw that fit in the hole well and had more of a course thread on it as well as I siliconed everything which seals and helps hole it in place really well and I have had no issues with it for the past 2yrs so far.

I cannot seem to find a mount and arm like that anywheres is it specifically for transducers? Or do I need to search in a different category I checked field and streams website I really need something like that for my transducer

@@justinbush8288 huh I was able to find both at my local field and stream shop here. and yes the transducer mount is specifically for transducers that moun to kayaks so check kayaks mounts and I think the rail was a yak attack rail.

If it's in the water but not below the bottom of the boat will the boat block it from working?

no it does not block it at all as mine does not sit below the bottom of the boat and it works just fine.

Sir i just bought one..what number or info do i need off the boat to get it registered?...thank you

hull number should be on the paper work you got with the boat if you can't find it there it is on the back plate of the boat I do believe or on the sticker that has the weight capacity information on it if I remember correctly. if they did not give you the paperwork with it on it go back and get it from who ever you bought it from. THe boat should have a hull number which is like a vin number for the boat stamped on it some where on the boat though.
