Arches National Park is just across from Canyonlands, yet the two offered completely different experiences. During my first day in Arches, I checked off two of its most iconic trails: Fiery Furnace and Devil's Garden. Fiery Furnace was my favorite by a hair just because of how unique it was. Both are definitely worth the time if you're visiting the park, so long as you're okay with a little rock scrambling and trail finding.
Places in this video:
- Arches National Park
- Fiery Furnace
- Surprise Arch
- Devil's Garden Trail
- Landscape Arch
- Partition Arch
- Navajo Arch
- Double O Arch
- Dark Angel
- Top Story Window
- Private Arch
I hope you enjoyed today's adventure. In the next one, we're wrapping up Arches with some amazing, shorter trails. I can't wait for you to see the insane State Park I visited after Arches!
Thank you so much for watching and I'll catch you in the next video.
Happy adventuring,
A

Arches is one of our favorite National Parks. Unfortunately, we haven't made it to the end of these hikes yet. Thanks for sharing and you've encouraged us to do these trails at our next visit. 😎👍

This place looks spectacular 🥹 hypes me up to see Dune 2. Also really inspired to go hike and explore by you. I just gotta wait til Washington hits spring weather 🥲

I’d be super grateful for those arrows pointing me in the right direction on these trails, otherwise I’d be super scared that I’d never make it back to my car 😅 another amazing video. Thanks for sharing! 😊

I felt the same! They were perfectly placed so there was enough room to wander, but one would appear every time I started to worry a little 😅 Can't recommend that hike enough!

Holy cow, the views you shared were gorgeous! It's been awhile since I've explored any part of Utah ... a good reminder that I need to spend more time there this year. Given the way my lungs are behaving these days I'm really looking forward to your upcoming easy hikes!

Thanks, Roxanne! Honestly I needed the same reminder to head back to Utah soon. It's such a special place -- I could spend years there! I'm excited to share the easy hikes. They're arguably as stunning as the long ones :) A bit odd, but I was just thinking of you last week! After that random cold/flu I had last month, I had the longest lingering symptoms I've ever experienced. It's absolutely nothing compared to what you've been through, but it made me appreciate how challenging chronic illness like long Covid must be. You popped into my head and my heart goes out to you. Hope your lungs are feeling better every single day

@@AprilAdventuring Aw, that's so sweet of you! Dealing with the lingering effects of COVID has been one of the most challenging things I've done in life - and I've done some crazy things. I hope you're fully recovered now and that it doesn't impact your ability to do the things you love in any way!

Devil's garden got exciting when I was there in 2020, started snowing at like mile 2-3. Decided too keep going, very pretty but some of the ledges were sketchy 😂 I'll have to hit fiery furnace on a recovery day after backpacking in December later this year!!

I was lucky the snow didn't start until I was almost back to my car already! I would have had serious regrets if it snowed most of the way 😂 Ooooh, you'll love Fiery Furnace! It's still one of my favorite hikes to date.

I was seriously filming in a little extra detail just in case I got lost and needed to retrace my steps by watching the footage on my camera 😂 It was such an adventure!

I'd never seen trails like this in National Parks! I'm so used to the easy to follow, wide open trails. This was such a fun change of pace :)

I appreciate the feedback! I always knew I touch my hair/face and talk with my hands a lot, but didn't realize just how much until watching my footage back haha! I will work on it :)
